Sam, Dewey

"I'd greatly love some rain," Featherhat says as he moves into a defensive stance.

Raine ignores him, continuing to fire spurts of water at the angel that attacked Sam.  The angel rushes past and swings at Raine, breaking through Sam's petals with a few scratches.  Dewey fires ice at it while it charges, but it ignores the attack.  It grabs Raine and throws her with a fireball.  Raine stabs her umbrella into the ground and picks herself up, glaring furiously at the badly injured angel.

The other angel starts crawling out of its pit.

You hear Gamma yelling in the distance.  "The best mitigation...  The best CC...  Is a strong offense!  Full power, fire!"


Leia

You attach a scroll to attract the enemy's attention to yourself.  The golem turns to stare at you.

"You stop that!" Natsumi yells at her.  She gestures her paintbrush at you, gently bonks you in the head, then swings the brush wildly.  Identical scrolls appear on all the rest of you.  "We're fighting together!  You're exhausted and it can't get through my armor!"  You notice the others don't just have scrolls now, but they seem to have small light spirits orbiting them, too.

The golem continues pounding its chest, then winds back and slams its fist down on Natsumi.  The force of the blow knocks Leia and Freya over, and sends Buttons' UFO crashing.

"Just DIE already!" Freya yells.  "You stupid... bubbly... jerk!"  She jumps up and kicks the monster.

"Yeah!" Buttons agrees.  "You're DONE!"  He winds back and slams it with his shovel.

Your key and Freya's are both beeping.  Natsumi grabs your hand, holding her brush up like a sword with her other.  "C'mon, no more of this self-sacrificial stuff!  Let's finish thing!"

Leia

You go running forward, raising your bat.

Natsumi raises her brush, waving it back and forth like she's cheering before spinning in a circle while throwing ink wildly, splattering you, Freya, and Buttons.

Buttons fires another Light spirit from his lantern while Freya charges at the monster with a slide tackle.

"Turn to Light, asshole!" Buttons yells.

"God, I feel so fucking useless!" Freya yells, smashing the golem angrily.

You smash the bat into the golem and a burst of light spreads from the bubbles making up its joints.  The larger ones pop and the smaller bubbles begin floating off and into the sky.

Natsumi jumps up and down, her armor disappearing.  She continues to hop in her pajamas.  "We did it, we did it!  Buttons!  Freya!"  She leaps at you and swings around you in a hug.  "Leia!"  She giggles.  "Oh, right.  I'm not s'pposed to use names, huh?  I was just really excited."

Dewey’s attention is caught by the Angel crawling out of the pit, launching a Lance at its hand in an attempt to send it falling back in.

Leia

You hug Natsumi for a while.  She pats your back.  "There, there."

Kiran is the first to interrupt.  "Hey, stop hogging her!  I want a hug, too!"  He doesn't wait and grabs the both of you.

"Ugh, Kiran..." Freya groans.

He grabs her and drags her in, too.  He tries to get Buttons, but he stays out of reach.

While you watch, the fog starts to clear up.  Across the river, you can see the rest of the ones who came with you fighting against some giant angelic humanoids with flaming wings.

Dewey, Sam

As the angel climbs out of the pit, Sam and Dewey both decide to attack it.  It swings its sword, unleashing another wave of fire, before being blasted into pieces.

The other angel advances on Raine.  She doesn't back off, instead stomping towards the angel as she winds up her umbrella.  The angel raises its sword and slashes her, and Raine takes the hit as she swings her umbrella and smashes the angel.

The angel is stunned when a large crate drops from the sky and smashes it in the head.  Featherhat quietly puts a laser pointer away.

Raine raises her umbrella again.  "I told you to die."  She fires another stream of water through the angel.  As it disappears, she pops her parasol open and turns back to the rest of you with a shy smile and a giggle.  "Looks like that was the last of them!"

You look to Gamma, and with the fog starting to clear, you can clearly see a girl wearing a tacky, neon-pink windbreaker and oversized sunglasses.  There's a floating ball next to her, and she seems to be controlling it with a mechanical gauntlet on her right hand.  She makes some gestures and the ball flies to the side, then fires a stream of lasers at the angel.  As it disappears, she looks back to you.



Leia, Dewey, Sam

Natsumi, Leia, Kiran, Buttons, and Freya cross back over the bridge just as the fight is finishing.

"Oh, hey, you got her," Gamma says.  "Great.  Well, my job's done.  Later."  She gives a flippant wave, picks up her laser cannon, and starts walking down the road.

Raine tilts herself and smiles at Freya.  "Everyone's OK.  How wonderful."
