Soul Labyrinth

Dewey takes out his key, looking at it with a puzzled expression.
What is this key anyways? It looked like they had similar keys on them, and they were the only thing not turned to stone. And now it's reacting to something here?

Tai takes in as much detail as he can, observing even minute details.

"So... we must be in some sort of alternate dimension or world, parallel to ours. Oh, and", he turns to look at Kiran staring him down,"Don't push me, ever again. Please." He adds, trying not to sound too cross.


He breathes. "It's fine. Whatever. We should figure out what to do now."

Tai, Dewey

Kiran turns to Tai.  "Oh, OK.  Here.  Have an apology."  He forces a key into Tai's hand.  "Somnis said to squeeze it and focus really hard on it or... something..."

Kiran takes out a key of his own and holds it up.  He starts to breathe a bit more heavily.  There's a bright flash of light.


Dewey

Your key pulses softly as you stare at it.  You start to feel something clawing at the back of your mind.  Weakly, but you can feel it tearing at you.  Your breathing speeds up, the air starts to feel heavy, and everything goes white...


Tai, Dewey

When the light from Dewey and Kiran subsides, their clothes have changed completely.

Kiran's dressed in a black leotard with a pale-blue skirt.  Matching sequins form a flame-like pattern over his heart.  He's got a black top hat with a blue band and a black half-mask over his eyes.  A black cape with feather-like shoulder pads spring up from his shoulder, and he's clutching a black rod, a classic magic wand.  He looks like he fell off a bus heading to a Las Vegas performer's convention.

Dewey's dressed in a blue, robe-like cloak down to his groin, with trailing fabric like miniature capes hanging from his hips over top of navy blue pants.  There's a a scholar's cap on his head, and thick reading glasses on his face.  Looking into them from the other side, they're like mirrors.  It makes it hard to see what he looks like.  There's a thick tome in his hand with a lock on the cover.  He feels attached to it, somehow.

But more than anything, Dewey feels... tired.  Like he's moving through water.  Kiran, on the other hand, looks like he's feeling great.


Levi

As Levi stares at his key, he feels something tugging on him from within.  Pulling him forward.  He staggers forward a step against the mental force.


Levi, Morgan

Levi starts to glow.  His clothes disappear, with pointed, blue pauldrons appearing on his shoulders, trailing down to golden scale-armor gloves that seem to pulse with some kind of strange energy.  Levi feels an inexplicable urge to punch someone, or... do other things with them...  He's got blue-and-gold greaves on his legs.  His shirt is gone, but he's wearing a face mask with a rebreather and blue swim trunks.  Swim trunks... that seem to have a blue, scaly tail poking out of the back...

"...Ah..."  Alice squeaks, staring at Levi's butt.  It just slipped out...

Tom nods at him approvingly, then looks at Morgan.


Morgan

You feel something calling to you as you squeeze your key.  You look around, but can't see anyone speaking.


Levi, Morgan

Morgan's key morphs and reforms into a sword in your hand, complete with a revolver barrel built into the hilt and a channel carved through the side.  A small leather breast plate covers her chest, paired with a short leather skirt that leaves her legs and midriff bare, as well as your lower back - where a poofy pink tail pops out.  Her hair turns pink and long ears poke out of her head.  There's a scarf wrapped around the bottom half of her  face, its ends flapping dramatically despite the still air.

"...Cute..."  Alice seems to realize what she just said and clears her throat.  "Right, then.  Tom?"

His outfit seems relatively simple.  A leather coat with spiked shoulders.  Tight leather pants.  A motorcycle helmet that hides his face.  And a heavy chain that coils around his arm up to his shoulder.  He flicks it like a whip, then rolls his shoulders.  "Mmm.  Alright, then.  Everyone ready to go?"

Morgan

Morgan looks surprised at her appearance. She feels something weird coming from behind. Morgan reaches behind and feels a Tail??

"What I have a tail?" Morgan asks surprised but almost a little too excited

Morgan then has time to notice her hair and its Pink? Finally, while feeling the top of her head she feels long floppy ears?

"Wait so the Soul Key turned me into a bunny girl?" Morgan lowers the scarf to ask Alice and Tom

(One tiny detail not listed up there is that Dewey's ear become long and pointed reminiscent of an elf in his Other World form.)
Dewey takes a moment to catch his breath and looks at the book which appeared with his transformation. It's written in a language he can't understand for the most part, but for some reason despite being the same cryptic language he seems to be able to understand what's written in two of them as if by instinct. They both appear to be instructions on casting spells of some kind, one capable of conjuring flames, the other on summoning lightning.
After everything else that's happened, I suppose it's worth trying.
Raising a hand in a direction away from the others, Dewey gave a brief chant in a language clearly not English while focusing on casting the flame spell in the book.
(Best explanation I could think of for being able to use his skills since magic isn't necesssarily as intuitive as using a weapon while also giving a reason for having a tome be important. All of the spells he's going to learn are technically in there, but he's going to need to level up his relationship ranks to understand them, in particular the chants required to cast them.)

Leia, Vincent

As you stumble into the portal, you find yourselves inside the mall.  Everything looks entirely normal... as far as either of you can tell.  Until you realize the floors go up and up and disappear into the darkness up above.  The storefronts look fake.  And it looks like there's a a T-intersection up ahead.

Their keys start to pulse with a mind of their own.  With a bright flash, the pair find their outfits changed radically.

Leia finds herself in a trendy-looking outfit.  A short-sleeved t-shirt with a pair of short shorts and a pair of boots.  Tattoos cover her arms, and she seems to be holding a strange bat.  She's wearing a pair of comically oversized sunglasses and a sunhat.  They don't seem to block her vision at all.

Vincent's change is a bit more radical.  He's wearing a leather jacket and aviator shades, black combat boots, black jeans, nothing too weird except that HALF OF HIS FACE IS ROBOTIC NOW.  A synthesizer keyboard hovers at his side.  In the air.  Floating.

They both hear someone whispering from up ahead.  Worried whispers...

"Uh... well, it could be worse. This is alright. So, what are we doing here anyways? Did your friends know this would happen? If so, then being here must be our way of helping Katie, Fox, and that girl."

Tai looks forward, seeing if there's an end to the walkway or if it's endless.
