Eventually, the party is fully set up for tonight...



Wow, they did an amazing job setting all this up! There's a mini stage on one end of the Dining Hall with lights shining on it and the smell of delicious food wafts in from the kitchen on the other side. The tables are set up close together with a buffet of food sitting on them. Balloons and streamers decorate the room and many of Aki's poem decorations can be seen hanging around.

Sato excitedly charges through the door and heads directly for the food. "Yes! Foooooood!" He continues to eat it like a savage maniac.

Vicky and Dennis head over to the stage, preparing their acts and making sure everything is in place.

Amelia and Axel immediately take up guard duty, heading to the two exits in the dining hall.

Claus seems to be in the kitchen right now, busy cooking up more dishes for everyone.

Sylvia walks in the door and seems to be holding someone's hand. Erika? Somehow, Sylvia managed to get Erika to come to the party. Even though Sylvia's smiling, Erika looks a little annoyed to be here. You momentarily wonder how she pulled this off.

The others all stand around, deciding what they should do first. It looks like everyone truly did show up here. That's pretty impressive!

What should you do...?

You take a seat at a nearby table and watch the others.

Dennis finishes preparing his fireworks show for tonight and heads over with Aki and Sato to eat at the buffet.

Tucker walks over to Vivian and the two start talking about something.

Sylvia seems to be trying to get Erika to join in the festivities with her, but is having some trouble.

Axel continues to stand guard at the door and watch everyone. He looks kind of sad though. Like he wishes he could join in.

Sam is wandering around and looking at Aki's decorations.

Vicky is still preparing for her performance tonight.

Amelia is talking with Leanne and the two take up guard duty together by the outdoor exit.

James and Ashley sit down together at a table and talk while eating.

Claus is still in the kitchen, cooking on his own.

Amelia blocks you from leaving. "Where are you going? Ze party is in 'ere?"

You explain that parties aren't really your thing.

"But it is not safe for you to go out by yourself. Wiz everyone 'ere, somezing could 'appen and nobody would know."

Leanne looks over to you. "Here, I'll go with him."

Amelia looks surprised. "Are you sure?"

She nods. "Yeah, I don't mind. Besides, we won't be out there all night. If anything happens, I'll just make sure to scream really loud."

"Er...Alright, if you are certain zat is what you want..." Amelia lets the two of you through and you both sit down on a bench for a moment.

"It's alright. I haven't really participated much, to be honest."

"It's not really that simple. People are complex, you know?"

"Yes." Leanne takes a deep breath. "It's not all that strange for a detective to have made enemies before, right?"

You feel like you can relate to Leanne a little better now...

The two of you hear what sounds like music coming from within the dining hall. "Vicky's show must be starting. We should probably head back so we can watch," Leanne tells you.

You then notice Sylvia walking back to the dining hall from around back where you're sitting.

Leanne calls out to her. "Sylvia? What are you doing out here?"

She looks surprised to see you both. "Oh, Leanne! I was just trying to get Erika to come back to the party. She ran away to her room. No luck though." Sylvia sighs. "I guess we should just go watch Vicky's show without her."

Without any complaints, the two of you head with Sylvia back to the dining hall as Vicky's show is starting.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Vicky Van Houttun's very own private show for all of you!" Flashy lights and music play as Vicky performs a dance on the stage. It's actually quite impressive.
