You try to avoid Dennis, but he grabs you by the back of you shirt and starts to drag you into Axel's room. "Come on, Tuck. I wanna show you something."

As you enter, you notice James looking around a bit. "Hm...?" He turns to see you both there. "Ah. Hello. I was just checking the dorms. It looks like they're all unlocked until someone walks in and uses their key to lock it. That way anyone can get in. I think I'm going to stand watch over the rooms so that nobody tries to steal anyone's keys. Not that I expect that."

Dennis nods his head as James explains himself. "Good idea, but you will need a partner to keep you honest. Which is why I brought this one to you." He motions to you. "If you honestly care about our safety you won't mind this assurance."

You mention stealing keys is what you were worried about and ask James if he has a key with an abstract metaphor.

"That metaphor makes no sense in the slightest."

"Now I need to complete my examination of the school if you need me that is where I'll be." Dennis turns to leave and finds Spy standing right in front of him.

"Ahem. Gentlemen."

James sighs. "Hello, Spy. We were simply exploring the dorms. It seems that the doors stay unlocked so we can get in until the owner walks in and locks their own room with their key. I was keeping watch to make sure nobody decided to steal any keys. It would be a disaster if we didn't have any safe places to sleep."

Dennis then interrupts James. "Yes, which is why I suggested the good doctor take a partner."

Spy nods. "Understandable. I already locked my room. do you require help with that? I am great at staying hidden and keeping watch"

"Tucker has been volunteered already." He stops to think for a moment, tapping his foot. "I'm off to finish my examination of the school proper and I wouldn't mind an extra pair of eyes, if you would care to join me."

You're still trying to explain your metaphor before you give up and simply ask the doctor where Axel's key is.

James points over to the work desk in Axel's room. "Over there." You see the key sitting on top of it. "I haven't touched it. I simply walked into this room to see if my theory was correct."

You assure the doctor you were just making sure everything was as it should be.

Spy nods. "Well, You do seem like you have the area covered with two people keeping watch. Oh, before I take my leave, Do any of you have a Marker or a Screwdriver?"

James responds. "I recall seeing school supplies at the school store earlier. Surely they'd have markers in there somewhere. If you go into the school's main entrance, it should be on the right by the staircase."

With that info, the two of them depart.

You turn back to James and ask him what you're doing next.

"For now, I suggest we leave Axel's room and watch the dormitory from the main hall. Not only can we watch all of the rooms from there, but we'll also see anyone that comes in or out of the building. There's only one entrance, after all. Plus it makes us look suspicious when we're in Axel's room." Saying that, he heads out into the hall and begins to watch.

"Hm...No, I don't remember seeing anything like that. You'd think there would be a library somewhere within the school, but I never noticed one. Perhaps Nekoshi is withholding access to certain parts of the building from us..."

James looks down and takes note of the clock on the floor. "Hm...It's about time for us to meet back up with the others in the dining hall. We shouldn't be late."

"Hm...I think it would be better if we simply made sure everyone went into their rooms once we return. It's almost night after all. I'm sure the others will want some rest. Besides...I get this strange feeling that if we end up taking the keys something might happen to them. It's probably best they stay here for now."
