"Damnit! Hey Leia, you thi k you could use that UFO thing you used earlier to fly us to to safer ground? Or slow them down somehow?"


Tai takes aim at the moles. There's too many and he doesn't even have any knowledge of how these things work. There's not exactly a lot he can do, though.


Hitting them all at once would be ideal, though it won't do much damage.

He lets out a string of curses and at some point unleashes a Hell's Breeze upon the moles, hoping for some status effect or way to gauge their weakness.

"Could you cast a UFO to protect yourself then use the diversion skill?"

Arcadia

You shower the last monster with sparks.  The monster is not happy about that.  It slowly starts making its way towards you.  Tom summons more stinging rain to strike its back.  Somnis reappears, stabbing it in the back.  Buttons leaps forward and smashes it with his shovel.  It keeps coming, but it's barely holding itself together.

You notice the other piles of formerly sentient rocks are shaking a bit.  Are they not really dead...?  No time to think about that.

The monster moves to point-blank range and fires several stones into you in quick succession.  Ow...  That attack is insanely strong.  It would probably be really easy to evade normally, though.  Even in the middle of the fight, you can actually hear your soul key humming loudly, and several cracks have appeared in its surface.  It's a good thing your legs are buried so far, because you're struggling to stay standing!

Tia chucks a spear through the thing's back and it collapses into a pile like the others.  The other two stop vibrating...  Looks like you've won.

Somnis is very quick to crouch down beside you and start clawing at the dirt.  "Don't worry, 'Cadia, I'll help you out!  Just hang in there.  Your soul key should patch up your wounds and fix itself pretty quick."

Buttons loudly clears his throat.  When Somnis stops digging to look, he dramatically motions to his shovel.

Arcadia lets out a sigh of relief at the fight being over, and even a small chuckle at Somnis's quirky digging. "Yeah, just... just get me out of this hole first. God, gettin' socked sucked..."

Dewey, Morgan

Mattea keeps dancing and healing everyone.  Dewey zaps the no-longer-mind-controlled fish.  He really seems to like zapping fish.  Katie and Fox follow up to finish it off.

The other fish goes crazy and starts splashing everyone again.  It seems like it's doing just a little more damage than Mattea's healing.  Everyone should be fine for a while at this rate.

Morgan knows that attacking the fish would probably be smarter, she does!  But that shitty little crab...  That really hurt!  She walks up and bashes it with her sword over and over.  It's not very effective.  But the crab is starting to get worn down.  It jumps at Dewey and stabs him in the shin.

Dewey was Provoked!


Arcadia

"But you're not wearing socks?" Tia points out.  "You mean getting de-socked?  Don't worry, you can get them back!  They aren't gone forever!"

"That's... not what she means," Tom explains.  "It means getting punched."

"Oh, I understand," Tia says.  You aren't convinced.

"Speaking of which, you can change back to your old armor by just willing it, OK?"  Somnis says.

With Somnis working on one leg and Buttons working on the other, you're out pretty quickly.  But while you were stuck with nothing else to do, you notice Kiran jumping around on the sand.  After one jump, he just suddenly disappears.


Tai, Leia

Leia summons a UFO in the middle of the cavern.  It pulls her in.  Natsumi seems pretty happy about this.  Tai unleashes a wave of superheated wind.  It strikes the two bug-looking things.  One seems particularly badly injured by the attack, while the other's hurt and seems to be burned.  Among the moles, four of them dive into their holes and seem to avoid the attack completely.  That's... not fair!  Can they do that!?  Of the two that got hit, one seemed to pretty much ignore the attack, and the other seemed to really dislike it.

The six moles pop out and each slash another anchor.  They're already half-gone!  The web sways dangerously.  "Um...  S-seriously, what's going on?  What do you mean they're attacking the web!?" Natsumi asks.  It doesn't seem like she can see what's happening very well.  That's probably for the best.  Standing on her when she's only kind of freaking out is already hard enough.

The two bug-like things spit a ball of green... slimy... gunk at both Tai and Leia.  It sticks to Leia's UFO, bubbling and hissing.  The other hits Tai with a painful, burning explosion.  

Tai and Leia's UFO were inflicted with Burn!

Something thuds onto the top of Leia's UFO.  Then proceeds to rolls along the edge and off the side.  Fortunately, it lands on the solid ground.

"...Kiran!?  Kiran, quick!  Get up, we're in the middle of a fight!" Natsumi yells.


(I'm going to assume Leia's using the provoke thing next turn if Mal doesn't say otherwise)

"Kiran, get your ass up and help out! Aim at the oned targetting the web! Leia, you know what to do! Natty, calm down, we are not letting some overgrown pests hurt you! I'll kill every last one of these annoying bastards!"


Tai gets ready for another Hell's Breeze, figuring that fire seems somewhat effective on them.

Tai, Leia

"I'm perfectly calm!" Natsumi yells. Her voice is trembling a bit. "B-because I trust you! S-see?" She flashes and her armor disappears, replaced with her normal swimsuit. It's basically the same, but without the sleeves. With her mask gone, you're able to see her giving her usual confident smirk. The swaying of the web from the battle sends one of her flip-flops flying off. It bounces against the stone wall a few times as it falls, clacking loudly before hitting the lava with a loud hiss. "D-don't tell me what that sound was," Natsumi mutters as it melts. Her grin shrinks a few fractions of an inch.
