Tai digs at the sand, looking for a hole he could climb into.
"Damnit, Natty! Damnit!"
He curses and yells as he digs around furiously feeling for any opening.

"Ow! S-Shit..." Arcadia tries using 500T Sparks on the enemy approaching her and panics internally at the incoming rock thing.

Arcadia
You cast a shower of heavy sparks on the rock monster. It slows the thing down, but... you know you're just delaying the inevitable while you futilely try to tug your legs free from the sand.
You see a small ball of light drifts into your chest. You feel warm, and your legs stop aching. Buttons closes his lantern after letting the healing wisp free. Tia throws her spear straight up. Tom readies his chain, binding one of the rock monsters to the one approaching you. "Take those two down!" he says.
Somnis seems to realize something and backs out of the fight. "Get 'em, guys! I'll be standing by!"
One of the rock monsters hurls a rock at Tom, and he dips underneath the attack. Another walks up and punches Tia in the gut. She coughs and drops to one knee before jumping back up, still ready to fight.
You can't escape. You can't dodge. So you brace yourself for some pain. The last rock monster walks up to smash you. Kiran jumps in the way, wrapping his arms around you as the monster brings its fists into his back. "GAAAH! Haha, ow. Don't worry, Sweetheart. I gotcha."
Tai
"Ugh, I don't have time for this!" Tai says. He readies his pistols and starts running towards the monsters. But something stops him. "...Damnit, Natty! Damnit!" He turns back to the sunken spot and starts digging. There must be a hole or something...
Leia
You start looking for any weak monsters you could pick off. You don't find anything like that... but you do find some really pretty seashells.
Obtained Pretty Shell x2!
While walking, you feel the ground start to slide out from under you... but you manage to jump back as a bunch of sand slides down into a hole or... something.
While considering what happened, you notice Tai yelling about Natsumi and starting to dig at the ground a few yards away. And then he slides into the sand, disappearing head-first.
Neat.
Plenty more beach to comb for stuff if you don't care. Though now you know you better watch out for holes.
Tai
Well, you found a hole. Because your digging made the ground unstable. As the sand starts to shift, it drags you down into the hole. You feel yourself falling in a shower of sand. The small shaft of light from the hole you fell into rapidly narrows and fades as the sand shifts and seals itself.
"Hrk! Ow...!" You land on Natsumi. It feels like she's lying on her back. The two of you bounce up and down as if you're on a trampoline or something. It's so dark, you can barely make out the stark-white of her mask inches from your face. As you sway up and down, you feel something tugging at your ankles and wrists, anywhere you aren't lying on top of Natsumi.

Ugh. Arcadia really appreciates the save, but can't help feeling that Kiran just used the opportunity to push his own pervy agenda...
Arcadia uses 500T Sparks on a different enemy, even though this won't contribute much.

(Okay, I was confused about my character's whereabouts, but if she saw Natsumi disappearing, I'm not hesitating.)
Leia will jump into a hole in hope to find Natsumi. Or maybe save Tai...
She'll jump in the same hole Tai did.

Tai struggles a bit. He shakes Natsumi. "Natsumi, we have to go! Now!Come on!"
Tai takes out his guns and aims the steadily at anything that grabs at him ready to fire. Actually...
He fires off a couple of warning shots into the air. Both to ward off monsters and maybe send someone a signal.

Arcadia
Tia starts winding something up.
"Alright, good luck!" Kiran says. "Hey, Somnis! Tag in!" He pats you on the head, then just... leaves. What the crap, Kiran.
"Huh? Well, OK." Somnis comes running in to replace him. Not... that it really helps you that your human shield just left.
Somnis chucks some kind of grenade thing into the heart of the rock monsters as she runs in. It explodes in a flash of light, and Somnis disappears. Two of the rock monsters seem dazed. They throw rocks almost blindly, missing everyone.
"Alright, how's this!?" Tom calls out. He puts a hand on the ground and it starts raining in a small area. The rocks seem really unhappy about this, especially the two that are linked together. Arcadia hits one of the other rocks with a bunch of sparks. It doesn't seem to do much damage, but it slows it down.
The last rock beast seems fine. It closes in, winds up, and smashes you across the head. Ow. If Buttons hadn't healed you, you would probably be in trouble...
Arcadia was dazzled!
The spear Tia threw a while ago comes flying back down and crashes straight through the monster that smacked you. Then she chucks the one she's been readying through it, as well. Both that monster and the one it was bound to collapse into a pile of... normal rocks. Huh. Well, what were you expecting?
The last one seems moderately damaged. Finish it off!
Levi
Morgan helps you up and you retreat to give your key a few minutes to recharge. As soon as you pull out, you can already see the the cracks starting to repair.
Morgan, Dewey
As Levi drops back, you notice the tentacle slithers its way off the beach, as well... Why?
Morgan and Mattea both release a pulse of healing magic.
Dewey fires a bolt at a fish. Fox, Katie, and the fish Mattea's controlling all follow the attack and destroy the fish. The fish seems to realize what it's doing afterward and snaps out of its charm.
The most injured fish heals itself, and the last one sprays water on everyone. It's not enough to overcome all the healing from before.
Two fish remain. The crab scuttles up, jumps, and pinches Morgan's nose.
Morgan was Provoked!
Tai
You start violently shaking Natsumi and yelling about needing to go. You notice that when you shake her, it shakes you, as well. The whole floor seems to be shaking.
"Gah! Tai! Sto-o-op!" Natsumi yells. "I'm awake! I'm just stuck!"
Your eyes start adjusting to the dark. There's a faint, orange-red glow coming from far, far below. A few glowing crystals on the walls provide a very dim light. As far as you can see, you're... floating in midair. Well, more accurately, Natsumi's floating in mid-air and you're riding on her like some kind of flotation device.
Tai tries to sit up and ready his guns. He realizes nothing's pulling at his wrists, they're just stuck. He manages to pull them free as a waterfall of sand rains down on him before he starts shooting. And then something heavy knocks him down.
Leia
You dive into the sand-hole and find yourself falling through empty air into a dark cavern.
You land on a pile of bodies. Living bodies. "Nnngh! Owwww... Why?" That's Natsumi's voice! "Oh, hey Leia..." she says weakly. "Welcome to spiderweb."
Tai
Ow. Well, that could've hurt a lot worse, actually, considering someone just fell on you. But they sort of slammed you back down hard enough that now your legs are pretty well stuck. Fortunately, your arms seem to be free. Enough. It's still pretty uncomfortable, though, stuck sandwiched in-between Leia and Natsumi.
Tai, Leia
Using Natsumi as leverage and with Leia's help, Tai's able to get his legs free. With some effort, the group manages to shift around so Tai and Leia are both standing on Natsumi. "This is... This is better than just being stuck alone in the dark, at least...! Haha... ha..." She laughs nervously, but you can feel her trembling a slightly underfoot.
Natsumi's stuck in the center of a spider web spread across a wide chasm. You could maybe make the jump to solid ground. Maybe. It would be difficult without more space to get a running start, or a stepping stone or something. There's what appears to be a large pool of magma far below you. Probably... for the best to not just blindly destroy the web...
You can hear... something moving around in the darkness. More like several small somethings. You should either get out of here as fast as possible, or get ready to fight from your Natsumi platform.

"Fuck. Well this is a pretty shitty situation. You, uh, yeah I don't know your name, think you can handle another fight?"
Tai readies himself for a fight, holding his guns carefully.
"Hey Natty, hang in there. We're gonna get the hell out of here, alright?"
