When you check him, assuming you check him, you see he's way overheated and seems to have a malfunctioning pump.

Open up the UI and take a detailed look at his information to see if there's anything else wrong with him or if I can find the reason why he's got a bad pump. Also check his name and recent history while I'm at it, maybe there'll be something in there that helps explain how this happened.

You start poking around and find out his name's Ryuusei. Partially organic, but almost entirely robotic. He was reading in a library on some space colony you've never heard of - that no one's ever heard of because it never existed, but that's beside the point - then showed up here. He got jumped by some goons and went into defense mode. The pump was damaged from overheating due to low coolant levels. Looks like he needs saltwater. Or salty food and water.
"The pump, huh? Cool, just like I thought. I've got a replacement around here... somewhere... Hey, Celica, go find it for me. You know the one we need, right?"
"Oui!" Celica walks off to find the part in a back room.
"Not bad, not bad... Alright, you've got the job," the mechanic says. He holds out his hand. "I'm Tony, by the way, from Florville."

Get to work using the UI to analyze what's wrong with Fox's Arwing. While I'm at it if the balcony he's on is near it engage in some small talk.

You can guess what's wrong with the Arwing based on some damage, but you do a check to confirm. One of the wings has some damage from a crash-landing. It knocked the stabilizer loose.

Start fixing it, using the UI to provide step-by-step instructions that even someone with only moderate knowledge of how to fix a real-world vehicle could easily follow. If that's not good enough just edit it back into perfect condition.

With your UI, you're able to find exactly where the problem is without much trouble. It takes a bit more work to get the panel off. Fortunately, Celica gets back with the pump and gives it to Tony. While he gets the pump installed, she gives you a hand, holding parts and helping lift things. She does well as long as you're giving her explicit directions, and she seems very interested in the Arwing.
It doesn't take long to get the stabilizer stabilized and everything closed back up.
"Well? Is my Arwing good to go?" Fox asks.

"...Ugh." Celica points to a yellow-and-white, box-shaped robot. It has a single eye and a single wheel. Standard CL4P-TP model, by all appearances. It's powered off, partially dismantled, chained up, and stuffed under several spare tires.
Tony seems to be done with Ryuusei. Once he closes him up, you hear whirring and hissing. "That... Yeah, that sounds good," Tony says.

"Huh, I'm almost afraid to ask what happened there. Anyways, if I knew someone desperate enough for a robot that they might be willing to take that one off your hands would you agree to let them have it? I'd need to make sure they still want it, but that shouldn't be too tough to find out."
