Edit the ground around us to rise up into a barrier covering us from enemy shots and buying me some time to work. Edit the guns of all the goons and cops at once so that their guns immediately crumble away into dust, and if Celica's pulled the pin on that grenade edit the grenade so that the pin hasn't been pulled yet. Next, edit the ground at the feet of the goons and cops to rise up and encase their feet, holding them in place. Lastly, edit the forcefield so that instead of being around the house it's around us and moves with us to protect us.
"Change of plans, you don't need that grenade. I'd rather not kill anyone while there's a cop around who probably won't take 'the governer is corrupt and needs to either reform or be run out of office' as a justifiable excuse, so we're doing things in a way that hopefully won't result in any more death because I'd rather not go to jail for murder. Also because I'm getting bored and want to see how much I can abuse this edit power."
Walk right up to the front door and open it (moving any guards in our way during the process of editing the ground to hold them). If there are any guards inside do the same thing to their guns and the ground below them on sight. Yes, this is a ridiculously OP use of edit, but:
- It sticks to the rules in place (I'm only editing inanimate objects and not changing multiple things at once).
- I don't plan on making this a habit, but I'm getting awfully tired of still being in Roscat. By this point I'd like to just get the TARDIS back and be on my way so that I can start getting more items (I'll probably pick a character next), seeing new places, and maybe see about getting in contact with Yoshi or someone else.
- Frankly the edit ability is pretty much begging to be abused anyways, it just wasn't as noticeable in the third Vitquest since we still had our full inventories and thus had plenty of other overpowered things as well.

I mean from a practical standpoint there's nothing stopping me from leaving but it'd be pretty shitty of me to peace out mid fight leaving Celica and Ryuusei to be arrested, plus I've still got a debt to Malo and if I can get the overly expensive licensing fees overturned I can claim that makes us even because it's going to save him money. Edit the forcefield to be around us and the detective's gun to be unusable if I've only got time for two things, the forcefield should be able to hold the goons off.
"Look officer, if you're gonna back up the mob that happens to be run by the governor because you're more concerned with the letter of the law than what's good for the people of this town then you might as well just leave. I'm not going to hurt you because you aren't a mob goon, but I'm not about to let you interfere either."
Now that we're protected by the forcefield Peri starts returning fire with Arm Snipe on the goons.
