Deadlands

Tai

Tai uses Dark Lasso on one of the skeletons and tries to drag him.  The skeleton's stronger than it looks.  It does not work.  The two of them are evenly matched and just end up playing tug-of-war.

The other skeleton tries to come to the first's aid.  White-dress, who's now giggling like a lunatic, flies forward and grabs the skeleton with a whip of her own.  With the extra muscle, Tai's able to slam the skeleton into the other.  The two collapses to the ground.

Mr. Bones growls and lands.  He steps forward and his wing-things fly off.  A pair of skeletal archers pop up out of the ground behind him.

White-dress takes out a pair of Pokeballs and tosses them into the air.  "Florian!  Whammy!"  A Leafeon and Flareon burst out.

Tai

Tai tries to show off, but quickly realizes he isn't faster than an arrow. Not that that's going to stop him. He shoots the skeleton in the back and also gets shot in the back. His key's holding together well enough, though.

"Leaf Blade! Fire Fang!"

The Florian and Leafeon each take on one of the archers. White Dress disappears and jumps on the big skeleton's back. She takes out a knife and starts shanking, sending bone chips flying. The big guy starts flailing to try to throw her off.

Tai

Tai lassos the big guy.

White Dress smiles and floats up.  "Oh, hold him ri-i-i-i-i-ight there!"  She holds her hands over her head and a large purple orb begins to form.

The archers continue to battle against the Pokemon.

The big guy tries to pull off the lasso.

Tai

You hold the boner in place while White Dress unleashes a big shadowy orb.  It smashes into the skeleton and explodes.

"Grrrah... Damn it.  This isn't over!" the skeleton promises.  He sinks into the ground as his archers crumble to dust.

"Heeeeey, don't run off!  It was just getting fun!" White Dress calls after him.  She opens up a portal and disappears, too.

...

And then Tai was alone.

Tai

You head into the church.  You find Buttons and the father standing over Natsumi's body near the altar.  The creepy guy is sitting on one of the undamaged pews, well in the back.  The priest is holding a bible and doesn't seem to know what to do.

"Um...  She wasn't a Christian," Buttons explains.

"So you don't want me to say a funerary rite?"

"I, uh...  I don't know.  She was a Shinto...  Shintoist?  Whatever the term is.  I guess she'd want something done.  And we need to consecrate the body so that skeletal asshole can't raise her as a zombie or something."

"I understand.  I'll retrieve some holy water..."

The priest walks into a back room.

Tai

Buttons is very clearly furious. For a minute you think he's going to slug you, but he just advances angrily and starts yelling. "Y-you... piece of...! My best friend is dead, and you're going to start shit!? And did you forget the part where you and your little fuckin clone beat her unconscious to- damn it! Where'd that bastard go, anyway?"

Tai

"I don't know, I was too busy trying to save that other girl to watch those two!"

"Children?  You aren't fighting, are you?" the priest asks as he comes back.  "I heard yelling."
