"You forgot clingy and annoying! Nyahahaha!" As soon as you step through the portal, you find yourself face-to-face with a short, black-and-white cat-doll-thing with a glowing red eye.
This seems to be a pet adoption clinic. But a real one, not like the crazy one you came from. Though it's empty right now.
Looking to the side, you see a guy with silverish hair. He's wearing a leather breast plate with an exposed abdomen, simple trousers, and sandals. A wolf tail pokes out of his butt, and wolf ears stick out of his head.
Jude is sitting nearby. Raine bumps into you from behind as she stumbles through the portal.
Bars drop down to bar the portal. Nekoshi looks pleased with himself. "And that's 16! Nyahaha, we can finally begin! Now start killing each other! Oh, wait, I have to explain the rules first. I'm sure you already know, but not all of the others do - so get to the fountain so we can start already!"
You can see people gathering around a fountain a short distance away.

You head over to the fountain. It's got a bunch of statues of people who're probably also petrified people. Meh. Whatever.
You can see the cafe, arcade, the fortune hut, the entrance, some stairs to a creepy basement... And the pet adoption clinic, of course.
"Nyahaha!" Nekoshi laughs. "Alright, everyone! Welcome to our awesome killing game! Let's introduce our contestants! I'm pretty sure our big star knows most of you walking corpses already, but we're doing this. Let's go around and give your names! "Introduce yourselves, you bastards! You're first, Amy"
"...Damn cat. No one tells me what tzzzzth!" she shrieks and twitches violently.
"So-o-o-o?"
"...Amyrillis."
"The Ultimate Princess Killer!"
"YOU LITTLE BASTAAAAAARGH!"
"Please hold all comments 'til the end, we've got a lot of you to get through~"
Amyrillis grinds her teeth but bites her lip. Most of the others have a similar response...

"Ultimate Resistance Fighter!"
"Mattea Tarea."

"Are you calling THE GREAT MAREENA a liar?"
"Hmmmm, guess not, Miss Ultimate Clairvoyant!"
"Tia Celestia! I'm making so many new friends!"

"I'LL! KILL! YOU!" Sachi screams.
Nekoshi laughs. "Nyahaha! That's that spirit! But I'm not the one you have to kill!"
"P-Pannes! Please be gentle..."
"Oh, of course. I'd hate to offend the Ultimate Hero."
Pannes whimpers.
"I'm Gale! What do you have for me!"
"The Ultimate Love Interest!"
"Elizabeth. Liz. Don't confuse me with that other one."
"The Ultimate Boss!"
"Junko Enoshima!" This one strikes a pose. "And let me just say it's a huuuuuge honor to be here!" She's... messed up. Like Raine used to be. Edited to the point of corruption. Who knows what she's supposed to really be.
"The Ultimate Mastermind!"
The next guy's also corrupt. Two of them...? "And I'm Nagito, Ultimate-"
"Yeah, you don't even deserve a title. And our last guest is The Ultimate Heartbreaker! Nyahaha, he's just like all the rest of you ULTIMATE FAILURES! Why don't you introduce yourself!?"
Everyone's eyes are on you...

You head back to the pet shop. There's still bars blocking the path to the portal. The others follow you.
The portal looks fine... until the other start getting closer. You notice something happening to the portal. It starts to shake and shimmer and vibrate... kind of like that fake Junko and fake Nagito.

"There's a strange portal, but it's locked behind bars," Nevyn says.
"But what did he mean by powers?" she asks. "...You people do realize I'm blind, right?"
"I can transform into a wolf," Nevyn explains.
"...Huh?"
He shifts and walks up to her. "It's not terribly uncommon where I come from. Do people of your world not have such abilities?" He nuzzles her hand and she jumps back.
"...Extremely rarely..." Elizabeth admits.
Amyrillis sighs. "...I can still feel the dark dragon's strength. Do you have some plan to escape?"
"Nyahaha! The only way to escape is to kill someone and then survive the class trial! Or to be one of the last 8 alive. That's right, only half of you have to die! Aren't I just so merciful? I'd go into the rules in more depth, but the only one of you who matters already knows allll he needs to~!"

"Yeah, we can get out if we don't kill each other. Nekoshi probably just has us here because he's bored. Also, something weird happened to Junko and Nagito. Someone should knock them out so I can unedit them.

"Will editing me help things?" Nagito? asks. "OK, someone go ahead and knock me out."
Sachi hefts a frying pan and bashes him in the back of his head. "Was that too much?"
People seem hesitant to just walk up and bash Junko over the head.

"Oh, really? We-e-e-ell I guess I can play along with my little protegee for a while. Just long enough to watch him crash and burn!"

The portal seems to have stabilized. It's still barred up, though.
