Dantalion

You walk over to the orb and poke it.  It sucks into your hand with a shlorp.

...Creepy.

The kid seems to be waking up.

You can see out the window that the campus is divided into two halves by a giant river of liquid hot magma.  A thin bridge is the only way between the two sides of the school.

There's a pair of doors out of the room, but they both lead to the same hallway.  You can see a map of the school hanging on a wall just outside of the room.

A blonde-haired girl in a bonnet and a stylish, frilly dress and high heels is standing in front of the map.  A thin, red choker is tied around her neck, and a rapier hangs from her hip.  The back of her hand is marked with small tattoo shaped like a wing.

The woman jumps a bit when you clear your throat. Oh! My." She turns around and looks you up and down. "...Hello, sir. I'm afraid I'm quite lost, myself. The last I remember I was..." Her hand drifts up to her choker. "...That's not important."

She turns back to the map. "We appear to be in the science building? There's a lab not far from here... We can also get to the gymnasium, but it looks like the rest of the campus is across a bridge?"

"I suppose we're safer in a group than alone," she says. She curtsies. "I am Leone Val- mm. That name is probably meaningless in this world. Leone will suffice."

You leave the science building and exit onto the campus. It's a bright, firey day. Lovely. Leone is panting from the heat from just the two minutes it takes you to walk to the gymnasium. Thankfully, it's cooler inside.

A weirdly bulbous man in a red hat and shirt and blue overalls is running and jumping on a giant... minotaur. The minotaur swings a huge axe at him, but the red-suited man slides under it, then jumps on his head again. A pokemon trainer throws a pokeball at him. The minotaur bats it away with his axe, then bellows at him.

Two women are watching this battle from the bleachers and cheering for opposite sides. One is tan, black-haired, dressed in a yellow cloak. The other is a bit younger, dressed in a red pirate get-up with tall, black boots.

Another woman is on the other side of the gym. She looks Japanese. She's practicing archery and completely ignoring the others.

You walk towards the archer, giving the fight a wide berth. They seem to be at an impasse, anyway.

The archer doesn't acknowledge your approach, firing another arrow to bullseye her target.

From your new position, you can see there's a pool in an adjoined room. An archway is projecting an image of what looks kind of like a puddle?

Dantalion

Fwip.  Thud.  "No."  The archer readies another arrow.

You toss an imp into the portal.  It doesn't explode or anything, just kind of disappears as the portal shimmers for a half-second.
