When I use a character for the first time and completely destroys same-level players, I don't actually enjoy it.

That's expected. Your friends probably don't have enough matchup experience against the newest DLC characters.

Lack of experience playing a character > lack of experience fighting a character, in any fighting game. You can at least press your options that your opponent has no knowledge whatsoever of and develop strategies with said options.
