The rest of the Abyss Rangers tail him.

A beeping sound comes from Clay. He then suddenly pops back upright and seems fine as if nothing happened. Clay makes his way over to the fortune golem and pays 50 Gold for a Gold Boost, getting sprayed with holy water. He then wobbles out, now soaked. He wanders over to Heather in the church and stares at her as she prays.

It takes her a moment to notice Clay, but when she does Heather turns to face him.
"Hello there! Are you here to pray as well?"

Clay stands next to Heather and walks in front of her, raising his hands in the air. Is this some kind of ritual...? He continues to do this for about...five minutes until he seems satisfied. He then lowers his arms and starts following Heather around.
