EveryoneBlood. So much blood. Everywhere. You look at your own injuries and immediately know that they're fatal. You have to go. Go back. You have to prevent this from happening again...
Everyone you've met in the last few days. Mr. Kensworth, the new guidance councilor. Mr. Gilliam, the principal who never knew you existed until all this started. Nurse Morrison, such a kind woman... Miss Valentine, Mrs. Miller, and Officer Thompson. They'll all forget you. But you have to go back... JasperYour tattoo starts glowing. The two smaller stars start to swirl around the larger one. OdetteYou struggle to pull your book out of backpack. You open it to today's entry, then flip back a few pages. OwenYou pull your wallet out of your pocket, then grab your $2 bill. You tear it in half, like you've done dozens of times before. EveryoneYou wake up in your bed. Maybe it's not too late. You rush downstairs and turn on the television.
Miss Valentine is standing in front of the hospital. "-the latest victim of the serial killer is now recovering at Saint of Mercy Hospital. The young woman is in critical, but stable condition. She's expected to make a full recovery. Officers are investigating the site of the attack, downtown-"
Jenna... One of your friends, now in the hospital. And Officer Thompson will be the lead investigator. This has all happened before. You're too late to stop Jenna from being attacked. But maybe not too late to prevent something much worse.
But, for now, you head to school. Your other friends, Jennifer and Benny, are arguing about whether to visit Jenna today or let her rest for a few days.
"Well, I'm going to go see her!" Jennifer says.
"I still say you should wait!" Benny protests. "I'm going to... I think I'm going to go talk to the counselor after school. Ask his advice."
"Enough talking!" Kevin interrupts. Stupid student council president...
You pretend to focus the class lesson you've already heard, while secretly making your plans to begin your investigation...

OwenYou ask Kevin if he wants to hang out after school. He agrees. You know this guy from quite a few loops... You spend some time doing homework with him. He always feels more stressed when he's got a lot of work. "Hey, thanks, man. I really appreciate the help." You feel his friendship increasing. JasperYou head to the hospital to check on Jenna. You have to admit, she's better off than some of the serial killer's victims. Largely because she's not dead. Even if she has some serious wounds. Still, overall, good news. You aren't surprised to find Officer Morrison's come to check on her. You are a bit surprised that Jennifer hasn't. Didn't she say she was going to? Something's weird here. You're kind of worried about her.
Jenna seems to be in good spirits. You tell her everyone's worried about you. She practically glows. "Please tell everyone I'm doing well!" she says. "I'll be back as soon as I've recovered." You can feel the warmth of friendship. OdetteYou head out to track down Miss Valentine. It's always a bit awkward meeting someone that you already know for the first time... But you manage to 'accidentally' bump into her while she's grabbing dinner at a fast food joint. You chat her up about her job, mentioning you're kind of interested in maybe doing that sort of thing once you graduate. Once you get her talking, it's hard to get her to stop... "And then I managed to get an interview with the mayor, and he refuted everything. And in the end he was cleared of all charges! Heh heh. It felt pretty awesome being the only news station that didn't jump down his throat over a few unproven allegations." She sighs after a bit. "Work's not all sunshine and rainbows, though. We've been getting all kinds of calls with fake leads about this serial killer. And the boss has been all over my ass. If you really wanna do this job, it's not much worst than most, y'know. Just be ready for all the usual crap." EveryoneThe next morning, you head to school. Nothing on the news this morning caught your attention. Looks like the serial killer didn't get a chance to strike last night.
Jennifer seems pretty down today. Nervous. "I wanted to visit Jenna last night, but I didn't get a chance. I got a mysterious note telling me to be careful. Saying I had a lot in common with the other victims. It was super-creepy, especially after Jenna got attacked. And even worse, I got these freaky calls last night. From an unknown number. They just called, said nothing for a few seconds, then hung up. Over and over..." She puts her head down on her desk. Maybe you should check up on her? But... there's lots of other stuff that needs doing, too. Current Stats (Everyone) Jennifer: 2 stress

OwenYou decide to hang out with Kevin again. "I'm heading to go see Jenna this afternoon, so... You can come if you want."
You assure him you do.
"I really appreciate it. I'm not looking forward to this..." Kevin says.
You head to the hospital to find Jenna talking with Officer Thompson. Jennifer's also come to see her. When the officer sees Jenna has guests, he excuses himself to let you chat with her.
"I'm so glad you're OK, Jenna! I wanted to come yesterday, but I got... Never mind. I'm sorry," Jennifer says.
"How are you doing?" Kevin asks.
"I'm... It really hurts," Jenna admits. "But I'm still going strong!" She flexes her arm muscle. "I won't give up, OK?"
"That's good to hear," Kevin says. "So, uh, the others and I all signed a card, so... Here." He thrusts a 'get well soon' card into her hands.
After a few minutes, Nurse Morrison shoves you all out of the room. "Jenna needs her rest!" she orders.
But you feel the warmth of Kevin's friendship growing. He felt a lot more confident with you at his side... JasperYou decide to hang out with Jennifer. You head to the hospital. When Nurse Morrison shoos her out from visiting with Jenna, you intercept her. You're a bit surprised to see Kevin leaving, as well. What isn't surprising is Officer Thompson poking around.
You decide to grab dinner with her in the hospital cafeteria. While she's digging into her disgustingly bland gelatin-blob, she stops and groans. "So I got another of those stupid letters today. It said to watch my back going home tonight. I don't know whether they're trying to intimidate me or legitimately warn me. It better not be a joke, though... Or I'll kick the crap of whoever was sending them once I find them!"
Once you're alone, you ask her how she's taking all this.
She breaks down and looks like she's about to cry. "I'm just... worried. What if they come back for Jenna once she's healed!?"
You spend a few minutes comforting her. You start to feel like she's warming up to you. OdetteYou 'accidentally' bump into Valentine again. "Hello. Tell me about your stories."
"Ha! Hoping I'll treat you to dinner again? Tell you what, how about you come along and watch me make one!"
You ride along in the news van - that may or may not be legal, but no one's asking questions - as you drive along downtown. You watch her collect some footage of people reacting to the local serial killer. Including Mrs. Miller! It's... still weird to realize she has no idea who you are in this timeline.
By the end of the day, you feel like you're starting to gain Valentine's respect. EveryoneThe next morning... nothing on the news. Good. Another safe night. And nothing weird during the day... What's the next move?

"Aw, thanks Jazz! But there's no need to worry about that. I'm over it." She punches her fist. "I'll bash anyone who tries to screw with me! C'mon, let's go run a few laps on the track or something!" You can tell this is not optional.
You spend some time out on the track running with Jennifer.
You can feel her friendship growing. OwenYou give Kevin a hand with some of his student council duties. "Man... I didn't sleep so well last night. What do you usually do when you can't sleep?"
You chat with Kevin while you do some paperwork.
You feel like you've become pretty close! Odette You head downtown. "Hello. I'm back."
"So you are, kid. What's up? You have fun yesterday?"
You spend a bit of time sucking up to Valentine.
"Heh. Glad to hear it! This is actually pretty satisfying, y'know. Passing on my skills and stuff to the next generation. Alright, my little protege, how about we look into a rumor I heard? I doubt there's anything to it, but..." EveryoneYou watch the news the next morning... Oh. Oh, no. That's Benny. Benny's... body. He was murdered yesterday, around the school... Sometime late at night? What was he doing there!? No, this is... This is all wrong. You need to go back. But... there may be more you can learn, first... Everyone at school seems really depressed. Several students don't even show up. Dammit... What now? JasperYou decide to hang out with Jennifer. While you're trying to decide how to play this, Kevin walks in and asks her to do him a favor. "Can you head to the hospital and check on Jenna for me? I want to know for an announcement tomorrow."
"Yeah, sure..." Jennifer says. She seems... tired. Which makes sense. One friend dead, one in the hospital. Creepy messages.
You offer to walk her home from the hospital, knowing it doesn't matter. You're going back anyway.
"Yeah... Thanks, Jasper. I really appreciate it." You visit the hospital, then head home. She gives you a big hug at her doorstep. "Thank you..." OdetteYou head to find Valentine. "Hi, Miss Valentine."
"Hey, kid." She seems stressed. "Nothing but dead leads. Nothing, nothing, nothing. Useless, useless, useless..."
You tell her she ought to try checking out the school's guidance counselor. He's kinda suspicious. Newcomer. Etc.
"You might be on to something... Alright, kid! Follow me. I'll show you how we in the business do some digging."
She proceeds to show you how to do said digging. You can't find anything suspicious about Kensworth. What's more, he has a solid alibi for the day Jenna was attacked. He doesn't seem to be particularly important, or paranoid... He's just a BYSTANDER. Owen
You go to hang out with Valentine. You catch her smoking beside a news van. She quickly stomps out her cigarette when she sees you. "What do you want, kid?"
You ask her what she thinks about all this.
"I dunno. I figured I'd be able to piece it all together. Not to make my name big or anything, just to, y'know, help. Tch." She grinds the cigarette harder. "Nothing. Absolutely nothing but dead ends and runarounds."
She seems stressed. You decide you can't push this much further.

Everything proceeds exactly as you expect until you get to school.
"Everyone, we have a new student joining us today!" your teacher announces.
"Hello, everyone. Please, call me El." A young man with shoulder-length brown hair and a bright smile is standing at the front of the room. He's dressed in a simple T-shirt and jeans with a pair of brown sandals.
What...? This wasn't part of the plan! You're going to have to adapt. OwenYou all arrive back on the first day. But you're already at the table eating breakfast this time. Great, you didn't go back as far as before...
Everything proceeds exactly as you expect until you get to school.
"Everyone, we have a new student joining us today!" your teacher announces.
"Hello, everyone. Please, call me El." A guy who looks an awful lot like Kevin with darker hair and fancier clothes stands at the front of the room.

FenellaYou head to the hospital. You find Nurse Morrison just finishing up in Jenna's room. She sighs and shakes her head. You walk over to her and ask if she's doing OK.
"Huh? Yeah, I'm... great! Don't worry, your little friend's going to be A-OK!"
You tell her she's not fooling anyone.
"...Don't worry. Your friend's past the worst part, she's going to make it. I'm just worried that... that the killer might come and try to... n-nevermind! You're such a good friend, coming to visit like this..."
While you're speaking with Nurse Morrison, you notice Officer Thompson arrive to keep watch over Jenna. Nurse Morrison seems pretty happy he's here. NoahYou head downtown. After a bit of wandering, you find Mrs. Miller at the grocery store. You call out to her.
"Hm? Do I know you...?"
You explain that you go to the same school as her son.
"Oh, are you one of Kevin's friends? It's so nice to meet you! Tell me, how are things going this year?"
You talk about school a bit. It makes her happy. You feel like her friendship has increased!
While hanging around downtown, you notice Valentine. You expected to see Officer Thompson, but he's not here for some reason. FelixYou head downtown to track down Officer Thompson.
You tell him you're really worried about your friend, Jenna. The killer might come back for her, y'know?
"Don't worry, kid. I'm gonna watch over her for the next few days," he says.
He heads off to the hospital.
While you're downtown, you see Mrs. Miller and Miss Valentine hanging around. Current Stats

El seems interested in you. You aren't sure that's a good thing. But you can feel your friendship increasing. Odette"I'm concerned about Benny. He's been acting strange. Could you look into it for me?"
"Of course," Mr. Kensworth says. "What about you? Are you doing OK? Um... Odette, right?"

"Oh, my. Yes, I did. Awful, simply awful. Whoever could do that to such a sweet young woman?" Mrs. Miller asks.
You didn't realize she knew Jenna.
"Oh, my, yes. She's in my son's class. Such a sweet thing. Not a mean bone in her body. Always so kind and caring..."
You spend some time gossiping with Mrs. Miller about the other students in your class. She doesn't seem to like Benny much...
You feel your friendship deepening. NoahYou go to hang out with Mrs. Miller again. She's meeting with one of the other students in your class when you arrive. When he leaves, you take your turn.
"Hello, Noah! Nice to see you again. I'm just about to do some shopping, if you care to join me."
You go with her.
She buys flour, eggs, milk, chocolate, icing... Baking supplies. You ask what she's planning to make.
"Oh... That's a surprise, dear. You'll find out soon enough..."
You kinda don't like surprises right now.
You help her with her shopping, then part ways. You feel your friendship deepening. FenellaYou hang out with Jenna. As expected, Officer Thompson is dutifully watching over her. Nurse Valentine is when you arrive, but she leaves during your meeting. Something about getting a call from the school.
Jenna seems to be really glad to see you. "Fenny! I'm so glad you're here... It's really lonely. And I'm so... bored. I wish I had more to distract me. From the pain. And the worry. Hint-hint?"
You promise to bring her a book or something next time.
"Yay! So how's everyone at school?"

"Oh, my, yes. He and my Kevin used to play together all the time, and Benny was always such a little brat. The worst was the time he tracked a ton of mud into my house, all over my nice carpet! It took me hours of scrubbing..."
You tell her that doesn't sound like Benny...
"He's not so bad anymore, I suppose, but when he was younger..."
You spend some time talking to her about her son and Benny. NoahYou bump into Mrs. Miller again and ask if she'd like to stop for coffee with you. "Oh, dear, I'd love to."
While you're drinking together, you ask her some probing questions. Real subtle-like. You're completely sure she isn't the serial killer, or a mastermind. She's not involved, either. She's a Friend.
It seems to calm her down. FenellaYou hang out with Jenna again. You bring her a book you think she would like.
"Oooh, I've never heard of this one! What's it about?"
You point out that telling her all that would spoil it.
"Aw, come on. You can tell me a bit about it!"

Your constant complaining seems to really stress him out. OwenYou ask El how he knows about time travel. "I'm afraid I have no idea what you're talking about." He gives an enigmatic smile and walks away. "But speaking of time, do you really have time to be worrying about me?" OdetteYou introduce yourself to El. He nods. "Hello, Odette. We've met before, actually. In that place?" He smiles gently. "I trust your plan is going well? Good luck."

"No, I suppose not," she says. "He could be much worse. Why, when I was his age, I was quite the little Hellcat. I used to prank my sister all the time..."
You spend some time listening to her tales of pranks. Her biggest was hiding a half-dozen doves in the principal's desk. You might need to remember that. NoahYou head to downtown, then ask Mrs. Miller to visit the hospital with you. To visit Jenna, you explain.
"Oh, my poor dear. And your poor friend. Sure, I'll come along." FenellaYou ask Jenna if she can speak with Jennifer a bit. She's been acting kind of grumpy lately, and really needs a friend.
"Leave it to me!" Jenna says.
You go to hang out with Benny. You spend some time playing video games at his place. "Thanks, man. Uh, woman. Y'know what I mean. It's nice to feel like things are kinda normal for a bit." Group BLate at night, you all get a notification to come to the hospital. When you get there, you find Jenna's been murdered... with no leads. You don't...
