Darkest Tower

Richard, feeling uneasy about the foxes, darts back toward where Danielle is waiting and hops on her back. He taps her on the head and points away from here. She walks instead of running this time, heading back over to where the fountain was.

Peaceful Area

Danielle slows down as the two stop in the same fountain garden area as before. The dark clouds continue to swirl in the sky, making Richard's tail the only light source the party has. The fountain continues to spray water peacefully as the flowers around it sway gently. The strange creature from before seems to be gone. Richard's ears twitch as he hears shouting off in the distance. Danielle sniffs around at the air, drooling a little bit. She smells blood coming from far off on the wind.

Richard stands atop Danielle's head and straightens up, surveying the area as he decides what to do next. The two notice the mysterious light from before floating on the other side of the fountain. It looks almost like it's waiting for them.

Danielle plods toward the light slowly, taking her time. Richard watches carefully, his ears poking up and his tail sticking straight up in the air. Every...er...leaf on the back of his neck is sticking up. Danielle sniffs at the light and grunts. In response, the light bounces up and down, giving a light jingling sound. It then flies off.

It seems almost as if the light is trying to guide them. Richard listens and determines that the direction the light went is toward the shouting. Danielle smells blood in that direction as well. The two consider whether or not to follow this light and exchange a look.

Wark and Poyo.

The two decide to follow after the light. Danielle calmly walks along toward the direction the light went in. She continues to smell the blood in the air. Blood is good. She was feeling hungry anyway...

As they continue onward, they notice a bright light. Wait, no. That's fire. The two come across what looks to be a flaming village. Many of those black and red monster creatures roam about, destroying the buildings and causing chaos. There are a few bodies scattered about here and there. Likely people that died trying to fight the monsters. A man wearing a black trench coat with sunglasses takes out what looks to be a handgun and starts firing at one of the beasts. The bullets seem to bounce right off its body. The creature turns toward him and lets out a horrific screech that sounds similar to Danielle's roar. Trench coat stops firing and places his gun away, looking for a way out of here as the strange monster's attention is focused on him.

You notice among the burning village rubble that this monster is the only current major threat. Perhaps you could make your way around it without being noticed if you move behind the flaming buildings. It certainly seems focused on that man. You notice the guiding light floating a bit further in the village, waiting for you.

Or we could eat the monster our T-rex is hungry after all

Danielle will run, and Richard + Coats will sprint in the opposite direction.
