Awkward's Island

You finish filling out your sign up form and making your avatar before you appear on a very plain looking island. It's completely empty aside from some grass and some automatically inserted things you can't get rid of like the Vitmon Shop and the Teleporter. Liz appears in front of you. "Hey there! Welcome to Vitmon Mini! Looks like you signed up for a...machine element Vitmon? Alright then!" Liz snaps her fingers as multiple digital bits float down from the sky and materialize together into a tiny, spherical creature on the ground. Its body is clear and squishy, but it has what looks like gears turning inside of it. It's got two eyes. It's kind of cute. It looks up at you and bobs up and down. "Huh. This little guy seems to have an excitable personality. Actually, is it a guy or a girl...? I can't really tell. I'll let you pick. Either way, you can check up on info about your Vitmon from the menu."

Liz snaps her fingers as her own menu pops open with a holographic display. "Using this menu, you can do all kinds of things. Check to see information on your Vitmon, change the layout of your island, manage accessories, entertainment items, and even food. You can also change the names of your Vitmons and the name of your island if you want." She closes the menu and points over at the teleporter. "That over there is a teleporter. You can use it to travel to your friends' islands, explore ruins with your Vitmons, or go to Vitmon Park, where you can raise your Vitmons with other players." She points to the shack. "That's the Vitmon Shop. You can change its appearance to fit your island however you like, but you can't get rid of it. That's where you can buy new Vitmons and all kinds of things for your Vitmon to wear or play with. That should about cover it."

Liz bows to you. "If you need anything, just push the help button in your menu window!" Almost as suddenly as she appeared, she disappears in a flash of teleportation light.

You start making edits through your menu and watch as the horizon fills with other small islands. There, that should make the scenery a bit more full. Your little friend bobs up and down in approval. You continue on, deciding to make a massive training facility on your island. The first floor changes to a lobby area with glass walls, allowing you to look outside and see the other islands in the distance as well as the sun. The trees seem to clear out of the way magically, staying outside so you don't have to worry about random overgrowth in your training facility. You add multiple floors to the training facility and watch as an elevator appears in the lobby entrance you're standing in. You then work on the teleporter and shop, integrating them into your large training facility. The shop is on the second floor and should look more science fiction-y now. The teleporter was moved to the third floor and should have the same changes.

You take a look at the lobby floor you've made. There's a reception desk, a lounge with multiple chairs and sofas to sit on, a few holo-televisions displaying on the walls, and a small garden-like area with indoor plants and a little fountain as a centerpiece. OS bounces up and down in excitement at the new changes.

The words appear over your Vitmon's head. You check his information on the menu again to see that Happiness has been added under attributes with a +1. Maybe this is what Liz was talking about when she said your actions would affect their transformations later?

You enter the elevator and push the button for the third floor, waiting a moment until the doors open. You walk into a futuristic looking room with all kinds of machines computing numbers and stuff connected to a large teleporter in the center of the room. You step inside with your little buddy and open your menu to go to the ruins to explore. In a flash of light, you're teleported away from your island and over to the ruins.

OS seems slightly less angry as he takes the apple and consumes it by absorbing it into his jelly-like body. You watch as he grows in size and his clear body takes on a red color.

OS takes a moment to sit down and breathe.

OS seems to be getting a little sentimental. He feels bad for being angry with you and gives you a hug with his tiny arms.

Your Vitmon continues to cuddle you in your arms. You realize that he's a bit heavier than when you first got him. He's a little harder to carry.

You take out the weight set, placing down a lead on the floor as it expands into an entire rack of weights in the lobby. It knocks a few chairs over...

OS wanders over to the weights and begins playing with them. He lifts them around in the air and runs around with a few of them.

OS eventually gets tired and places the weights back. He seems a little out of breath. You do notice, however, that his limbs look a little more developed. They're somewhat more than just stubs.

Liz suddenly appears next to you. "Huhhhh. Hmmmm. Yep. Your Vitmon is going to evolve soon. It's gonna change to Stage 2. Well, anyway, have fun doing whatever you do!" She then disappears.

You head over to the third floor again and activate the teleporter with OS, warping over to Vitmon Park!
