Summoners of Darkness

While sitting down, Iran notices Vivian looking around. She seems to be bored and she checks her pockets. They seemed almost unnoticeable on her dress before, but sadly, she didn't find anything of importance. With her arms crossed, she wanders around aimlessly. Iran decides it's best to make sure she doesn't wander out of his sight, but as he walks toward her, he realizes that he barely knows anything about Vivian. This woman could practically turn around and attempt to kill him at any moment.

Knowing it's best to be safe, Iran starts a conversation with Vivian in hopes to learn more about her. "Hey, you!" She quickly pivots around to (probably) stare Iran in the eyes. It's hard to tell with those sunglasses on. "You're name is Vivian, right?" She stands quiet a moment before nodding once to confirm. "Why are you helping me out with all of this fighting monsters?"

After a short moment of thinking, she finally responds. "Because I'm not dead."

Iran's confusion is easily covered up by his composure, but obvious through his question. "What is that supposed to mean?"

"Don't you know already? You saved me from dying. I shouldn't be alive. When I was fighting Wolf in the city, he almost destroyed me with his Wolf Storm, but as I was fading away I heard a voice. It told me that I would be rescued from Wolf if I simply accepted to join them. So I did. The next thing I knew, I was was teleported to a field and some monsters were attacking. I figured it was you that saved me, so I've been helping you out. It was you, wasn't it?" Iran stands silent while looking at Vivian. "Well, I'll help you out anyhow. I'm sure that voice meant to send me here and I don't know my way back to the city from here. Besides, I'll need to find some help to take down Serpent and Wolf. It seems almost like new organizations are popping up everywhere."

"Well, I guess I can help you defeat these...strange beasts that are in organized groups. You must help me for now though. At least until I'm free from this giant hand."

"Great! Whatever that means, it sounds like we have a deal." Vivian begins to wander off when she's stopped by Iran again.

"Hold on. If we're going to work together, we're also going to need some training. We will begin by fighting trees."

"Why aren't we fighting the cows over there?"

"You are not ready for moving targets! You must master your powers!"

"I just helped you fight a horde of monsters! Of course I can hit a moving target!"

"No! You must learn the ways of type advantages!"

"What the hell does that even mean!?"

"Your fire is super effective against trees! Now get to training! I'm going to test the limits of Randomize."

"What? Ugh, fine. It'll all be worth it once I get back home to stomp that little brat into the ground."

So after their strange ending to their conversation, the two begin to destroy nearby trees. Iran also uses his Randomize spell multiple times, but is unable to find any sort of way to control which spell it becomes. They continue training for a long time with nothing worthy of not other than a tree that explodes once Vivian sets it ablaze. Nobody was hurt, but it makes you wonder what was in that tree. They both decided to be careful and check the rest of the time and this cycle of obliterating trees continued on until it became dark. Once night fell, they both had destroyed every visible tree in the field and the Tauros had all run off.

When they both were ready to sit down and catch their breath, they heard a snap as two Primids attacked. Vivian easily repelled both of them away and incinerated them with Flame Wing, but soon two more Primids appear along with a Sword Primid. Dimentio floats above them and waves to Iran. "Sorry, but it looks like I'll have to cut your break short! Don't worry, you won't have to fight the strong monster for two more rounds! So it should be easy until then...maybe." The Primids prepare for attack. Iran needs to come up with a strategy quickly.

(Sorry if it seems strange at all. It was written in small parts over a long period of time.)

"Alright, we're going to go fully offensive! Use type advantages!" Iran charges up to one of the Primids and begins to bash it relentlessly with the Dark Tome. As he attacks, the Sword Primid begins to walk toward him and hold the sword up high to strike. Before it can move, Vivian's Aura Blast quickly consumes it. She doesn't have time to create another one to stop the other Primid from landing a strong punch on Iran though. He's knocked back from the Primid he was attacking, but the Primid is still dazed by the multiple smacks in the face.

The other Primid starts to run toward Iran, but he blocks its fist this time and it's quickly defeated by an Aura Blast. The last Primid, having been already injured, is defeated when Iran throws his book downward and it slams into the Primid.

With the group of Primids defeated, Iran picks up his book and brushes the dirt from the ground off of it. Once he looks up though, he notices a shower of small fireballs falling down toward him. Vivian is able to cancel out the attack as her aura takes the form of large wings and they knock the fire away from Iran. "Thank you for saving me. Now, back to work."

"Yeah, whatever. I just can't let you die is all. How would I absorb all those other Totem powers without a powerful ally anyway?" The two are soon facing a group of three red Primids that look ready for a fight. "Oh, so those are the ones throwing around fire. Their skills are pretty pathetic. Let's crush them."

With the battle continuing, Iran quickly dashed forward and nabs a Fire Primid. He then takes a large bite out of its arm. In fact, he tears it off completely and eats it as it dissolves into that shadowy stuff. The arm is very spicy and Iran begins to cough a bit. Maybe a bit too spicy. It feels like he ate practically nothing as the shadow most likely dissolved and floated out of him. At least the Primid is gone. He's left vulnerable to the other two though, and they both blow fire breaths into him, leaving Iran's armor to heat up and burn him. Luckily, Vivian comes in and disperses the heat before any major injuries are caused before using and Aura Blast to defeat one of the Fire Primids.

"What are you doing!?"

Iran managed to talk through many coughs. "Well, I thought that if I managed to eat one, something would happen."

"You aren't very smart, are you?" Vivian blows away the last Primid with Aura Blast as Iran slowly recovers.

"Ah, yes! Very good! You defeated those enemies very nicely. It is, however, time to move on. Remember that nice gift of a powerful monster I promised you? Well, now you get to fight him!" Dimentio claps joyfully as he floats overhead. "I hope you two get along well! I hope you're thirsty because he definitely is!"

Dimentio snaps his fingers as a rectangular doorway appears. The ground begins to shake as loud stomps resound from within. The powerful footsteps nearly knock the two over as the large enemy reveals himself. The gray bones take the shape of a giant turtle and the shell on his back looks like lava is contained within the cracks. The glowing, yellow eyes look determined to destroy and powerful claws are seen on the hands. After a loud roar with his bones rattling, Dry Bowser continues to stomp forward. "I'd love to stay and watch, but I have some...other things to attend to. Ciao!" After his signature ciao, Dimentio warps away, leaving Iran and Vivian to fight Dry Bowser.



"Gwahahahaaaa! This is gonna be fun!" His bones rattle around when he speaks, making the speech strange. "It's been a while since I've been in a fight! Good thing they found my Soul Gem in the rubble. Now then, who's first?"

"Don't think you'll defeat us easily, you skeletal turtle beast!"

"That's Mr. Skeletal Turtle Beast to you!"

"We don't have time for this rediculousness, Iran! Focus on fighting!"

"Yes, a strategy will be useful in this situation..."

"Strategy shmategy! Who needs plans and stuff? I'll crush you with my power!"

What if we just grab one of his bones, rip it off his body and laugh as we watch him collapse and we defeat him in one turn?

The battle begins with Iran running ahead and grabbing a bone in one of Dry Bowser's legs. He tugs away at it with all his strength until it finally gives way and he pulls out the bone. Expecting Dry Bowser to collapse to the ground, Iran stands up and dusts himself off, tossing the bone aside. Somehow, Dry Bowser is still standing up fine though. "Bwahahaha! You didn't think taking out a bone or two would do anything, did you? Nope! I could practically fight you with just my head! I'm so great, I can reassemble myself and practically hold my bones completely together!" After commenting, Dry Bowser takes out one of his rib bones and tosses it at Iran, knocking him away and into the ground. Vivian is unimpressed and uses Blaze, commanding a pillar of fire to burst from under Dry Bowser. "Bwahaha! You guys are a riot! Fire won't hurt me! I'm just a bunch of bones! A bunch of AWESOME bones!"

Iran manages to pull himself up off the ground again as the bones reassemble into their places on Dry Bowser. He begins to frantically chant strange words and flail his arms around in an attempt to summon a dog. Everyone's attention turns to Iran as the chanting and flailing intensifies until finally, he shuts his book and finishes by shouting dog very loudly and points at Dry Bowser. Iran stands there with nothing happening as Dry Bowser stares at him confused. While he's distracted, Vivian uses Aura Blast, sending a wave of aura into him. "Bwaaaah! Hey, no fair! Don't distract me like that!" Dry Bowser blows a ball of fire at Vivian, but her aura shifts into wings, blocking out the attack and absorbing it. "Hey, stop using all this fancy stuff! That's cheating! Only I can cheat!"

Dry Bowser angrily stomps toward Vivian and jumps up high in the air. She manages to avoid the original ground pound as Dry Bowser flips around in the air and slams into the ground, but the shockwave from it hits both her and Iran. They both get up and throw some magic his way with Aura Blast and Dark Orb. "Bwargh! What's with the magic! I was busy boosting my defense for this fight!"

Iran runs up ahead to Dry Bowser and smacks him in the head with his book. Dry Bowser holds his head and shakes his head slightly before grabbing Iran and tossing him away. He laughs at Iran as he hits the ground, but stops once he's hit in the back of the head by Vivian's magic.

"Stay outta this fight! This is between me and the samurai!" Dry Bowser tosses one of his bones at Vivian, knocking her back and it quickly returns to his body. Iran comes up from behind and throws a Dark Orb at him though. It's quickly followed up by an Aura Blast from Vivian as well.

"Alright, that's enough being attacked from both sides!" Dry Bowser charges forward toward Vivian, grabbing her before tossing her down into Iran. They're both damaged from the attack, but get up to fight again quickly. Iran uses another Dark Orb on Dry Bowser while Vivian attempts to make her way behind him. Dry Bowser doesn't take his eyes off Vivian though. He takes out two of his rib bones and tosses them in in front of Vivian, making it so she has to move backward to dodge.

Deciding that their original plan wouldn't work anymore, they both switch to a full offense, tossing their magic spells at Dry Bowser. Dry Bowser is hit by the attacks and attempts to attack by slamming his fist into them, but misses.

The storm of magic attacks continues until Dry Bowser roars in frustration and showers the two in a breath of fire. Iran can feel the flames burning at him, but he still continues along, standing tall. Vivian absorbs the fire as usual and continues to throw an Aura Blast at her enemy.

They return to their magic attacks, blasting away at Dry Bowser. He's starting to look tired and breath heavy. Dry Bowser takes out another rib bone and tosses it down to them, hitting Vivian with it. "You guys are tougher than I thought..."

The two magic users continue to unleash their attacks on Dry Bowser as he begins to move closer. "Time to finish you! Graaaah!" Dry Bowser's rib bones that are left float out of him and rain down on Vivian and Iran. The bone storm pummels them both painfully. Iran feels faint, but makes it to his feet. Vivian is injured, but she seems alright due to healing herself with Dry Bowser's fire attacks.

Once Dry Bowser's attack is over, his center is completely exposed. Iran and Vivian use this to their advantage and aim their attacks right where the bones used to be. The magic blasts into his center and Dry Bowser collapses. "Bwaaaaaarrrrgh! Oof! How did you beat me? I'm the best..."

Iran walks toward the collapsed Dry Bowser, ready to finish him off with the last attack, but last second his bones all reassemble into him and he stands up, roaring. He's too exhausted to actually fight though and falls over into a sitting position. "Wait a second, okay? Listen, I know you're all excited to finish me off and all, but I have stuff I gotta do! Come on, I'll do anything! Just name what you want and I'll give it to you!"

"Ah, so a trade, is it? Well..."
