Yeah, it's more fitting for the character anyway.
My setup is plasma cutter, line gun, flamethrower and contact beam

Don't you usually give us the starting inventory based off of our characters strength.

I feel like I want to use a Golden Sun character so I can collect Djinn, but I also don't want to be limited to one element because I want to see what Punk's Djinn would be like for each of the elements. I think I chose a character for my weapons dealer though.

Once upon a time there was a video game called Threads of Fate. In it, there was a powerful warrior named Rue who could transform into monsters. However, it was not gree shapeshifting - he had to copy a monster he encountered. In total, Rue could hold 6 monsters at a time as his array of transformations. If he wanted to use a new one, he had to switch out one of his old forms.
I propose a system identical but with Djinn. Instead of a limitless quantity of single-element spirits, six of any element.
And yes, I will provide your starter inventories, but you can feel free to suggest inclusions.

Okay, I'm thinking of probably playing as Isaac's son, Matthew and Fervent Machine Soldier from Shadowverse. I just have to make their sign up things.

After filling out the form and rolling it back up Golbez watched the scroll disappear in a puff of smoke, leaving a portal behind. With one last glance around the room lined with crystals and sleep pods, Golbez' eyes fell on the old sage in one of them. Fusoya, I'll be taking my leave now. With any luck I shall return with a clearer conscience. Stepping through the portal, the warlock clad in black found himself within a strange cemetery...
(The general idea for Golbez is for this to serve as something of a redemption arc for him. This is after the original FF4, but before The After Years. As such, he still feels guilty over his actions from when he was controlled by Zemus, which is why he's still wearing the same armor out of shame. Perhaps some time mid to late game he'll shed the armor and his guilt with it, and if possible it'd be neat to see him get an upgrade similar to Cecil that gives him a new set of armor and allows him to use White Magic as well as Black Magic, but since it's your game that's up to you on whether you'd be good with that. If not he'll just swap over to his appearance from The After Years with no change to his abilities, but either way he'll go by his real name from this point onwards. Speaking of his abilities I'm thinking of him having the full set of Black Magic spells from ff4 mixed with some of his PSP Dissidia moveset, the ability to summon the Four Fiends and in particularly dangerous fights with lots of enemies the Shadow Dragon, and perhaps a nerfed version of Binding Cold that only has a moderate chance of paralysis on all enemies in range instead of guaranteed since there's a very good reason he only uses it in the scripted part of his battle.)

Lets see in terms of inventory. The only thing I can think of for Rosalina is her wand at the very least maybe Prince Luma as an assist or just there. I don't know how you plan to use Rosalina combat wise so I will wait for you on that one.
Fawful well of course his helmet and fury unfortunately can't have the mons. But umm what about his signature weapon the T shirt canon gun.
How they met?
After the events of Bowser's Inside Story Fawful was reduced to a mere Black Bug (of fury). He was pretty much harmless at this point and not a threat. Fawful still dreamed of taking over both the Mushroom Kingdom and Bean Bean Kingdom.
Rosalina was go through the Mushroom Kingdom with her mom Peach when she noticed the bug. Peach recognized the bug as Fawful and wanted it destroyed or imprison. Rosalina had other ideas and kept the bug in a jar. She explained that she would be in charge of looking over Fawful in the Observatory.
Fawful pleaded to be restored to his former form and that he shall travel the path of Chlortles and not the path of fury. Rosalina didn't buy it and just kept him in the jar (of course with air holes). This would continue until one day one of the Lumas came flying in with a strange note. Rosalina took the note and was a little shocked at the contents. It simply read Send help immediately. Gates need help now.
Rosalina being one to always answer the call for help wasted no time in heading to the destination. Well she would if Mario, or someone else was around. Fawful promised to be a good bean if she turned him back to normal. Rosalina didn't really have much of a choice at this point and well told him she would but he misbehaves and being a bug will be the least of his worries. Fawful more or less agreed. So the most unlikely pair of Rosalina and Fawful set off to this place called Gates in order to help or possibly set the Fury upon it.

(Baiscally, I plan for Rosalina to try and rehab Fawful out of his ways. Fawful gonna fury but eventually this will lead to him kinda of sorta changing from evil villain to neutral anti hero. Oh and of course he there will be plenty of moments of Rosalina scolded Fawful like a kid. Hmm if I had to imagine there interaction for some reason I am visioning Pauletina and Dark Pit type interaction.)

MatthewWHO ARE YOU? Matthew is the son of Isaac and an Adept. As a master of Psynergy, it's his duty to make sure the world's elements are in balance and that things aren't immediately crumbling apart. That's why he's working to put a stop to these Black Lantern things. They seem the be something that wants the world destroyed and that kinda sucks, so you know. WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? WHERE ARE YOU FROM? Matthew is from the world of Weyard, where everyone and everything follow the rules of alchemy. Everything is built from the four elements of Earth, Wind, Water, and Fire. WHY ARE YOU QUALIFIED? As an Adept, Matthew is capable of using Psynergy or alchemical magic to aid him in battle. His signature Psynergy is the Move Psynergy, or the ability to move large and heavy objects from a distance. He's also capable of creating earthquakes, rapidly increasing the growth of plants, summoning spires of rock to pierce his opponents, creating eruptions from the earth, and healing wounds. Finally, he can also use the Retreat Psynergy to teleport out of dungeons. Matthew isn't just limited to Psynergy, he's also capable of using his sword to fight enemies and can gain new abilities from his weapons by mastering them. Another important part of his battle arsenal are Djinn. These are spirits that sometimes choose to tag along with Adepts on their journey. Each one is connected to a different element and has different abilities. After they use their abilities in battle, however, the Djinn become tired and need to rest. The only way to restore them is to activate a summon, after which they will return one at a time. WHEN DID YOU MEET? Matthew met Nora by chance one day while she was traveling through dimensions and selling her wares. He decided to team up with her to join this dimensional traveling group because you need two people. NoraWHO ARE YOU? Nora is a soldier and technology expert. She used to make weapons for the army in her own world until it got destroyed. Now she travels dimensions and sells her weapons to others that way. Good business. WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? Normal Evolved WHERE ARE YOU FROM? Nora is from a world with highly advanced technology. Sadly, her home was destroyed by Nerve of Purgation, so she left to another dimension. She doesn't really have a home now and instead travels from world to world, selling her high quality weapons. WHY ARE YOU QUALIFIED? Nora's main function is as a weapon crafter. She can create the best weapons you've ever seen with the right materials. She figured this dimension traveling group could use a weaponsmith and decided it would be a good business venture to join. She does have some combat capabilities of her own, although those are a bit more limited. She's agile on the battlefield and prefers to use her dual blades when fighting. Sharp enough to cut through tough metal machines. She can activate her evolved form to double all aspects of her power and change appearance a bit as well.

Who are you?- Haurchefant Greystone (FFXIV) and Havel, the Rock (Dark Souls) What do you look like?- Haurchefant Havel Where are you from?- Haurchefant: The Holy See of Ishgard Havel: Lordran, land of Ancient Lords Why are you qualified?- Haurchefant: Leader of the garrison at Camp Dragonhead, Companion of the WoL, Knight of the realm Havel: Veteran of the war against the Ancient Dragons, Battlefield compatriot of Lord Gwyn, Warrior of unparalleled strength When did you meet?- Having been let out of his tower prison by the chosen undead who was duly rewarded with first-hand experience of Dragon Tooth's Strength Havel traveled the land looking for a new lord to serve and new dragons to slay. Luckily, for him time and space are convoluted in Lordran and in time he found himself within the frigid garrison at Camp Dragonhead. Who are you? Henry Stickmin + Starman
What do you look like? Just a stick figure, and a funky silver-looking guy.
Where are you from? Henry Stickmin and Mother.
Why are you qualified? Henry Stickmin is known as the ultimate thief, always finding a way to escape from any area. And Starman has a pretty cool name, and he can use magic. So yeah.
When did you meet? They just felt sort of drawn together, you know?

Question, to anyone from the original playing new characters: do you want/mind if I include them as NPC allies mostly following their arcs from the original? I was thinking of doing that.

All I know is that it is a survival horror and that you've mentioned he's a crafter All right, I updated my inventory with information. Also, as an engineer, he can repair, bypass/hack and manipulate pretty much anything.
