So what do the memories do? Are they my way of summoning them?

Yes. They can be used to communicate with and check in on them over vast distances, and summon them with an expenditure of energy.
The stem crystals are like they sound. Kind of like how stem cells adapt to make other cells, they adapt to local materials to make strucrures. Kind of like Superman Fortress of Solitude stuff, since he is Lunarian I think

Sure, the blade is an acceptable addition. However, if he wants to do attacks that LET OUT A HOWL or whatever it was, then something beefier is needed.
The Rosalina dust is more like, something she can use to make miniature solid, non gaseous stars ,but there are definitely other uses.

Oh, I wasn't expecting any special abilities from this basic sword. I just wanted a weapon because he didn't have one. And if I know anything about Gates, it's that you don't really want to be without proper equipment.

I'm gonna make my own topic for my inventory, that way I can also track anything else I want to there.

Tier 1 FF Gear (Tiers are a thing in all MMOs, right?) while there is no such thing in so many words there's a basic set of gear I can translate this into Really? Okay, let's work this out, because I am used to this cadence in MMOs: Level up to the cap Begin gearing up, starting with what would be called tier 1 gear from dungeons and raids and stuff Expansion comes out repeat I apologize, I should have done more research. What is the loot progression in 14 like?

Oh, and if you want to make your own thread, by all means.

What is the loot progression in 14 like? Items have levels like people. But item levels go up to crazy numbers that people can't reach like 120. You also have to improve by optimising your rotations, skipping boss mechanics through insane DPS, and coordinating your guild properly with assigned roles and memorized parts. My brother was the number one ninja in the world for a while. It was boring. The game gets very repetitive at that level. But it's fun on a casual/role-playing level.

Right, the rotations and skipping and coordination thing is typical MMO fare, as is numbered gear. Nothing surprising except that it doesn't seem the gear is referred to by the raid tier that gives it.

What is the loot progression in 14 like? Basically you've got I(tem)levels that have to be the same as yours if you want to wear it and you've got a few ways to get new gear dungeons all have a set since Heaven'sward, you can craft gear with your crafting classes, Raids of all kind have gear, you can purchase generic gear with Gil (and get HQ version of said generic gear as quest rewards), and last but, not least from doing your roulettes and the current highest level dungeons you get tomes that can be exchanged for high-end gear. Because High-end gear is thankfully not hard to come by (for doing the cap Job quests you get a chest full of basic high end Job gear that is more then good enough for the Main Story Quests 99% of the time) Glam is often more important (and fun to chase) at cap. Ohh and there's a couple different kind of sets of gear in terms of Jobs/Classes Fending which is your tank gear, Maiming is Dragoons gear, Striking is your Monks and Samurai, Aiming is Bards and Mechanist, Casting is for your Magic DPS, and Healing is well for your healers. When I spell it all out it seems complicated but, it's actually pretty intuitive in play.
