Computer Voice: "You want your team's name to be Bunch of Idiots? You guys are definitely something else... I had to offer the option. M programmed it... Didn't expect anyone to choose it... Well... Now to move on...

In this game, you'll had to manage a team of what we call "fighters". Fighters are beings copied from different worlds to compete in various battle scenarios.

In this world, what we called "humans" or "users" are gone. There's only team of fighters. As far as I know currently, your team will be the only team led by another entity: you.

Of course, you need to form your team... Your starting team will be constituated of 5 fighters.

First, you have to choose what M called your "Jack of all trade".

Five fighters appear in the white void, each of them different from the other.

The first one appears as a curled ball of paper, but unfolds, eventually forming into a mustached man wearing blue overalls and a red cap with an M on it. He seems really excited, jumping around to get your attention.

The second individual as some similarity with him. It's also made of paper. It is some kind of creature with a white mask and a red pajama. It seems to look around, waving it's arms in a panic. Eventually, some kind of floating object with an heart logo on it comes from above. The critter jumps inside it and seems to calm down.

The third individual is spherical and has a brownish orange color, except for a beige area around it's face. It's wearing a blue bandana and wielding a spear.

The fourth individual is inside a bulky suit of armor with a lot of bright lights on it. He's checking his weird yellow... you're not sure wether it's a gun or a tool. His helmet retracts, revealing a man under it. Black hair, half shaven beard.

The last and fifth individual is a blonde woman with long hair. She's in some kind of white lab coat, but seems to have a belt full of technological gadgets. She seems to be counting some capsules.

Paper Mario jumps happily, then walks away from the others, separating himself from them.

A portal appears behind the four other fighters. Gugu looks down full of sadness and walks through it. Bandana Dee seems to stay motivated and runs through the portal. Isaac activates his objective detector and sees that it leads him into the portal. The blonde woman lets out a few swear words and follows. The portal closes behind them.

Computer Voice: "These fighters will be reattributed into teams, you might have the chance to get them later on, but that's a story for later... Now, more information on fighters. No matter their world or form of origins, every fighters are resized to be relatively the same size as a human.

And now... It is time to choose what MASTER calls "Your brain"."

Five more fighters appear.

The first one is a somewhat fat man with a brownish green shit. He has grey hair which looks kinda dirty. It is written "Paul" on his shirt.

Paul: "Hello, amalgam of users. My name is Paul. I am motivated to learn the basics to any fighters wanting to learn. As for my own abilities, I'm an expert crafter... I will understand if you prefer someone more powerful, but I would be very happy to join your team."

The second one is a yellow snail with a dark brown shell. The snail itself is yellow and is wearing glasses.

Snappy the Snail: "Oh... It is I! Not the best version of me though... I am not the Snappy who wears the musical helmet. You see, I had one myself, but I had to sell it to a guy named Nathan Goldenburg whome bought Vitcon School Of Love from me. I am unemployed now, so he offered to buy me stuff so I can make my family live. The thing is that my wife is vegan and my son is carnivorous. WHich means grocery is complicated and..."

The snail continues rambling on and on.

The third fighter is some kind of brown creature with big eyebrows and a blue cap.

Goombario: "Hello there users, my name is Goombario. I might not be very strong, but I possess information on every fighters, thanks to my ability called "Tattle". I don't think I have anything elese to justify you picking me though..."

The fourth fighter is an old man in a dirty white lab coat. He has glasses with spirals designs on them. He also has a bunch of white hair on top of his head.

E. Gadd: "Ohohohohoh! Let's just say I have a bunch of inventions to test if you pick me! My grapple was very useful on the pirate ship, right Mario?"

Paper Mario seems to nod to confirm.

The fifth fighter looks quite pale. She's floating above the ground and has long flowing black hair. She's wearing a blue dress attached by a belt. The belt has a jigsaw design on it. She's also wearing a graduate hat. This ghost seems too busy writing something to say anything.

Computer Voice: "Professor E. Gadd, you have been chosen. Updating character pool."

E. Gadd walks next to Paper Mario, whom raises his hand in the air to greet him. E. Gadd starts talking about many weird inventions to the man in overalls. You hear something about a nose cleaner, a mustache arranger, a cardboard 3D modeler and more stuff that seem irrelevant to combat.

Paul, Snappy and Goombario all thank you for your time and walk back into their respective portals. Nagme is still lost in her book... The portal behind her suddenly becomes a vaccuum and sucks her in.

The strenght of the vacuum also pulls your two fighters towards it, but E. Gadd holds on to Paper Mario, shoots his grapple device at the ground and makes sure it gets stuck on the ground. They lift in the air a bit, which causes Paper Mario to flap his arms like a bird. The portal closes as soon as Nagme is absorbed and the two individuals fall back to the ground.

Paper Mario swipes his forehead, while E. Gadd verifies his device.

E. Gadd: "Ohohohohoh! That was quite the predicament... This give me an idea..."

Computer Voice: "Don't worry, that portal was for Nagme only, it couldn't have absorbed you... Anyway. Back to the users. I think you made a great choice here... Some fighters will have what we call "synergy". In fights involving multiple fighters, you'll get choices for each individual fighters... In normal cases. In case of synergy, you'll get less choices, because some fighters will activate combo options instead of individual options. These combo options are obviously better than individual options. It is possible for a whole team of 4 to have synergy. Synergy doesn't require the characters to be from the same universe. Being from the same universe doesn't even guarantee synergy. You'll have to learn all the possible ways to activate synergy while you play the game. Now... Time to choose your "brawn".

Five more fighters appear.

The first one is some kind of turtle with football attires. It's arms and legs are green, but it's shell is black. He seems to have baseball equipment and a shovel on it's back too.

Chargin Chuck: "It is I! Chargin Chuck. The one and only. I am the best. I bully the noobs, I bully the pros. I am scared of no one."

The second fighter is floating in the air thanks to jet boots. He has greenish skin, a gladiator armor and two really big sword.

Chainblade: "I return to battle as everyone's favorite gladiator, I slice, I dice and carve up a mean dish... Wait... I can't be with my leader Chuck? They have to pick one or the other? I OBJECT!"

Chargin Chuck: "What? They did what? This is blasphemy!"

The third fighter is some kind of grey bull with orange shoulder pads. He has big brown horns and a mean glare. He stays silent, but looks at Chargin Chuck and Chainblade with hatred in his face... Seemingly some bad memories of them.

The fourth fighter is a bulky golem creature. It is dark grey and has what looks like dry magma here and there on it's body. An obsidian armor makes him look even more intimidating with his oversized axe in hand.

Yarzan: "I am Yarzan, follower of Dianite. I will massacre anyone for my god."

The fifth fighter is a yeti... You seem to all see this fighter differently. She has no description. It's left to everyone's interpretation. You somehow know it's a female and she seems to smile a lot. She definitely has powerful claws.
