You step out of the odyssey. You find it perched on top of a tall skyscraper.
Looking down, you can see people wandering around, cars, flags, street lights... A modern city. Further in the distance, the modern city road suddenly turns into dirt and brick as it turns into an older city. Far into the city, you can even see a towering castle. In another direction, you can see a fairgrounds that look like they're still being set up.
A bulbous man in a red hat is running along and jumping off of things in pursuit of a floating pink puffball. A puffball with eyes. It seems to be running away.

Chocobo X shrugs shoulder.
"Oh this must be that place I heard about,". "The one ran by the nice Mayor lady, person, Paulina,". "Hmm why is that red guy chasing the puff ball.
Chocobo X will try to catch up to the red guy and ask him what's up.
Bowser will summon the Boo buddies and order them to scout the area. Look for any area of interest and report to Bowser.

First you'll need to do something about the whole 'standing on a skyscraper' thing.
Also you gave Bowser temporary summons.

Oh umm see if the Magikoopas can teleport us off the skyscrapers and onto the ground level.

Nope. I'm gonna be strict-ish about Bowser using his minions like in Inside Story. Otherwise he has like 3 players' worth of powers.

Chocobo X will call out Chill King B. ask him to look around and see if he can find any stairs or easy way down.
Bowser will also look for a way down also.

King Boo finds some stairs inside the skyscraper. It's a long walk, but it'll get you down safe. There's a working elevator, but it looks really old and probably can't support Bowser.

Okay thanks Chill.
Chocobo X will have Chill King Boo take a look around the city. See if he can help the puff ball get away from the red thing.
Bowser if only you went on a diet you could take the elevator well exercise will do you some good. Later.
Chocobo X will take the elevator to the ground floor.
Bowser wants to say something about being fat but X already left. Bowser will grumble while taking the stairs.

(Small typo that got fixed - it said the fairgrounds you the south were active, but they're still being set up - also they don't look evil like those other fairgrounds)

You make it down to the ground floor well ahead of Bowser.
King Boo goes after the guy in red. He turns, throws his cap, and knocks Boo's crown off. Then jumps inside him.
Mustache Boo now floats along after the pink thing as it takes to the air.

For now Chocobo X will try to recall Chill King Boo.
Bowser will laugh at Chocobo X and then give chase to the Mustache Ghost.

X tries to recall King Boo, but he seems to be no longer his control.
Bowser charges at Mustache Boo. The boo turns around, stares at him, and covers his face. It turns invisible and intangible. Bowser charges right through it, and the Mustache Boo goes back to chasing the pinkpoof.
The guy in red reappears from Boo, leaping out of the guy and grabbing pinky in midair. He drags him down to the ground. He holds pink puff expectantly. Pink puff lets him hold him. Red sets him down and tries hitting him with his hat. Pink blinks as it bounces off uselessly. Red crouches down and pulls his hat down over his head. He seems surprised nothing happened.

Recall Chill King Boo.
Hey Red can we talk for a moment and stop throwing hats and posses other things.
Bowser looks on as something dawns on him.
"That red hat, that mustache, that possessing people without there permission,". "There you are Mario I finally found you,". "Your the reason why Peach dumped me and after I went through all that trouble of stealing all that stuff for her,". "Hmph you got a lot of explaining to do pal," Bowser grumbles towards Mario(?)
"Bowser we can deal with your fictitious relationships later,". "I come in peace and despite this one's attitude he's also on his best behaviour,". "So Mario I presume (I assume Bowser would recognize Mario even if this is an alternate Mario) umm why are you throwing a hat at this Pink fellow here,". "Did he do or say anything?".

You start talking, but Mario falls asleep halfway through your lecture. When you finish, he hops up slightly. "Oh, yeah." He proceeds to run off, doing seemingly random crap like hopping on benches and rolling under stuff in a ball. "YAHOO"ing as he jumps about.
The pink thing flattens itself against the ground, then stands up again. "Poyo."

Mallard thinks about it for a moment. Hey buddy I got a friend I like you to meet.
Mallard summons John Cena and has him activate the Battle Date Simulator.
John Cena is going on a battle date with Kirby(?).
Bowser
"Hey get back over here you," Bowser calls out.
Bowser looks for the nearest person. "Hey what's Mario doing here?". "Also why is he throwing his hat at people, that's awfully rude,".
