You pursue the pair to the small circus you see in the distance.
There, you find a small group of people attending a sad excuse for a fair.
The red-suited plumber is playing a whack-a-mole game, jumping from mole to mole as they pop out. He misses a jump, with the display reading 93. He crouches in front of the machine and pulls his hat over his head. A white-haired woman pats his back as she runs by.
The pink puffball is standing in front of a food stall, staring at a bunch of foods as they fry. The white-haired woman stops by, pulls some out, and hands it down to him. The puffball hands her a coin, then inhales it. She throws another batch of food in the friar before running off.
She goes over to a game stand, where an orange-haired woman is tossing rings at bottles. The white-haired woman runs a few games, then notices you at the entrance.
She sprints over to a makeshift entrance. "Hello!" she says with a bright, sheepish smile. She's dressed in a white leotard with a simple, lacy skirt over it. She has poofy, white hair, and beads of sweat dot her forehead. "Welcome to The Fair of Light! How may I help you today?"
You can see a church to the south, and a large area full of shops to the west.

Hello there well we saw Mario and Poyo running over towards here. It seems like an interesting place and I was wondering what you guys had around.
Bowser is still huffing about being singled out by random space witches.

"Ah... haha..." the woman says. She rubs the back of her head sheepishly. "We don't really have so much right now. We have a lot planned, though! We, um... We just don't have the manpower to run everything right now. Sorry! I can't even operate the rides or do my trapeze act because I have to sell tickets, run the games, cook the food, clean up... and everything else. Including still setting things up. Actually, if you know anyone who might want to help out - odd jobs, performing, whatever! - if you can convince them to sign up and work for a while, I'll give you a small payment! And them, of course. Sorry I can't pay much, though. B-but if I manage to grow The Fair of Light some, I'll be able to afford better and better payments! And then someday I'll be able to put my sister out of business..."

Sister's business? She also runs a fair?
Oh I don't any allies on me now but I got John Cena over here. He's pretty strong, knows about the values of Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect, plus he's a really good entertainer.
Plus I got this big lug over here. Apparently he's a king amongst turtles and other strange things. He can breath flames, has mussels for days, and well he"s some type of royalty.
"Wait what are you doing I am not someone you can just give away to others,". Bowser objects.
"Who knows maybe some honest hard work will do good for you,". "Also maybe random space witches will stop trying to beat you up,". "Plus you can also jump rope and dance if you want to," X replies not even acknowledging Bowser's objection.
So Ms. can you use John Cena or Bowser or both to help you out?

She looks between the two of them, then points to Cena. "He was summoned by one of those... things, wasn't he? The... orb-thing? My sister used to talk about them. Sorry, but I need workers who are a bit more... permanent. And the turtle-beast just looks terrifying, sorry. I want little kids to be able to enjoy the park! ...Ah, just a second!"
The woman runs off to feed the poofball and stick more food in the fryers, then comes running back.

Toadetta sucks you into an alternate reality. "The easiest way to make friends is to knock people out or otherwise disable them, and forcibly edit loyalty into them! But you could also try talking to people and maybe doing something to help them?"

Sorry a little light on the coin front. I can sell you Bowser for a few coins if you want.
"Really only a few coins I worth way more then just a few coins,". "I am worth like a whole mountain of coins,". "An entire kingdom of coins, wait why are we talking about selling me," Bowser questions.
"Anyways lets head off towards the church for now,". "Can't hurt or anything,". X and Bowser head off towards the church.
