Kitty
You head to the north and find a large area of the city devoted to large shops and stores and warehouses. Ansei looks around, his gaze lingering on a warehouse. "Ah, this brings back memories."
That brown-haired girl (now leading her horse instead of riding it) is standing between two merchants who seem to be in charge of the largest two stores. The stores are right across from each other, and both have a counter open to the street.
One of the merchants is a red-haired woman with a ponytail. "I can give you a hatchet for 86 rupees."
The black-haired merchant across the way smiles and holds up a small axe. "I can do 79!"
"Pfffft, look at that cut-rate hatchet. This baby's much better. Here, give it a swing," the red-head says. "It's going to cut better, easier, and last much, much longer. Are you really going to accept a lower quality over 7 rupees?"
The brown haired woman is looking between the two indecisively. "Um.. Well... I only have 100 rupees... Hm..."
A blonde-haired woman in a fancy skirt with a pretty choker is watching the proceedings from a cafe, sipping a cup of something.
"We could probably buy the booze from those two. Or ask around for a proper tavern. What do you think?"
You see a lot of points of interest you could head to from here. A smaller residential area, a small fairgrounds that look like - oh, you saw them earlier. A large, metropolitan area. Also a hospital, library, and mechanic's garage. And a theater, but that's closed.
