Kitty
You head to the library. It's a surprisingly modern library - even if it looks like it was made in the mid-1900's - with four stories and tens of thousands of stories. Shelves upon shelves are divided into dozens of sections.
The librarian is a young man in a tan shirt and trousers, tall brown boots, a kind of skirt-like apron-esque... thing, and a blackish cloak with some purple and gold accents. The hood is pulled over his head to mask his face. He stares in your general direction.
Crow does not start making things on fire... immediately. He quietly sits on your shoulder.
Ansei sees a station marked 'book lookup.' It has a traditional card catalog next to an ancient computer. But rather than say anything about lollipops, he confidently approaches the device. "Ah, a computer. Excellent. Computer! I'm looking for books related to Norgorber."
The computer doesn't respond. At all.

"I'm surprised you know what a computer is." Walk up and use the search bar for Inari to find books on that thing he said. After asking him how to spell that at least once.

Ansei stares at you using the mouse and keyboard. "What sort of weird things are those? Ah! The computer's reacting when you move them! But... why would someone make a computer to work like that instead of just using voice or touch...?"
"N-o-r-g-o-r-b-e-r. Is that right? I think it's right."
You get two results. Ansei's eyes light up. "Religion, 291.23... 291.23? What does that..." He starts whipping around, eyes settling on a sign listing locations of different subjects. "These books are actually sorted! By... subject? Ah! That makes sense! 291, 291... 291! Top floor!"
He casts some sort of spell, turns into a fox, and darts up the stairs fast enough that the posters on the wall turn sideways and Crow gets blown off your shoulder from the gust of wind he leaves in his trail.
The librarian raises a finger to his lips. "Sh."

You look for information on the spheres. Or orbs. Balls maybe? Several searches only pull up one book with references to it, a storybook in the children's section, here on the ground floor.
Crow has disappeared.

You go to the children's section and find the storybook you're looking for.
It's about the goddesses and the star spirits. It's nothing you haven't heard before. Three goddesses made the world and people, yadda yadda, power that can grant wishes or whatever. Star Spirits listen to and grant normal people's wishes and blah blah blah. The only mention of the spheres is that they (supposedly) act like some sort of key to open up the path to the Star Realm.
About the time you finish with the book the fire alarm starts going off.

"Wrk?"
You find Crow. It isn't hard. You just turn your head towards the confused chirp and find him sitting in one of the empty shelves, staring at a propped-open Poe anthology.
Cliche...

"Sh." The librarian glances over, then grabs a fire extinguisher from under his desk, vaults over, and hovers up the stairs.
Ansei calmly descends the stairs as he passes. His arms are folded and tucked in the opposite sleeves. "It's in the religion section," he calmly tells the librarian. He strolls over to you like nothing's wrong at all. "Yes?"

Inari shakes his head. "No, just two. And they were blank, anyway. They needed to be punished for their insolence."

"I checked for invisible ink, magical concealment, hidden runes, everything," Ansei protests.
When you leave, Crow stays behind, patiently waiting at the front desk.
Move to Town Square.
