As your ship sails, Lagos quietly sings a sea shanty off to the side. Nyl quietly leans over the side shuffling a deck of cards until she notices, unfurls her wings, and leaps to his side.
Within 5 minutes, the two of them are loudly singing songs about meeting pretty young damsels and shaving people's bellies. It's not really a surprise that Nyl's a good singer, but Lagos' powerful baritone is shocking.
It's a short trip to the archipelago. It's made of two large islands and over two dozen smaller ones, some with little more than a small patch of trees. It would be possible for a strong swimmer to get from island to island. A very grumpy man with purple hair and a few Pokeballs is moping on the easternmost island, one of the smaller ones.
The southernmost island is one of the larger ones. It has a huge luxurious resort sprawling across its white sands.
The other large island is to the west. It has several large, shining crystals dotting its surface, some small, some the size of people, a few the size of small buildings.
