(For those of you who haven't played this type of game before, stick to reading your own thread and not the others. Non-players can do whatever.)
As you trace the last few lines of the summoning circle, you can't help but think of last few days. How you got to this point. A mysterious offer to join in the first ever American Holy Grail war, supervised by some top-secret government organization. They only set out a few rules. Standard precautions to stop civilians from discovering magic. Only fight at night. Servants can wander around the city in material form, but only so long as they're disguised as normal people. Lastly, while technically a Master whose Servant has been slain is still a participant in the war, they're to be given an opportunity to drop out. Nothing so hard, compared to the upcoming battle to the death. In return for participating, you'll get a guarantee of a cushy role in the soon-to-be-announced American Mage Society if you participate. But, more importantly, a chance to win the grail and have your deepest wish fulfilled...
When you got to Snowfield, the first thing you did was wander around to see what the big city is like. You were shocked with how much of the city you didn't get to, so you did the same the next day, and the next. By the time you realized you were approaching the deadline, you hadn't accomplished half of what you'd wanted to do. But at least you felt like you knew the city pretty well. Hopefully it'll be worth it.
You heard the Servant you summon gets sent by something called the Throne of Heroes. If you have a catalyst - you don't - you can force it to send a specific servant, but in its absence the throne will try sending someone attuned to your personality. You're kind of worried... You spend some time trying to figure out who it could possibly be, and practicing your greetings. Only one chance to make a first impression!
It's time to begin.
Silver and iron to the origin. Gem and the archduke of contracts to the cornerstone. The alighted wind becomes a wall. The gates in the four directions close, coming from the crown, the three-forked road that leads to the kingdom circulate.
Your self is under me, my fate is in your sword.
Here is my oath. I am the one who becomes all the good of the world of the dead, I am the one who lays out all the evil of the world of the dead.
In accordance with the approach of the Holy Grail, if you abide by this feeling, this reason, then answer!
The sigil begins to shine, then erupts in a blinding flash of light, unleashing a shockwave of magical energy which knocks you back. When your vision clears, the sigil is gone.
A muscular man is kneeling in front of you. He has spiky, dark-blue hair and a long ponytail. He's dressed in a blue bodysuit, the same shade as his hair, adorned with silver lines. Though it covers everything below his neck, it really shows off his figure... He looks up and flashes you a cocky smile, revealing crimson-red eyes. As he stands up, a crimson spear materializes in his hands. You recognize Gae Bolg immediately.
"Yo... Master. Nice to meet you. Lancer-class Servant, Cu Chulainn. Time for another Holy Grail War, huh? Let's go!"
