"There's some weird interference. Probably coming from that first guy. Something's weird about him, not really sure how to describe it. So I can't tell where this new guy's coming from. But I can tell it's just one more. Still enough it could get hairy... or fun."

"Our new friend's keeping their distance," Cu says. "For now."
You continue to sit and sip your coffee while observing passerby for anyone suspicious or shifty. You do notice a few people. A pair of college-age kids walk along, whispering quietly between each other - nothing weird about that, they look like they might be a couple - but also glancing over their shoulders from time to time. The guy is a bit taller, muscular, with buzzed hair too short to tell the color. The girl is a bit on the chubby side, blonde, wearing a gauche'clubbing' type of outfit. The two are coming from deeper in the mall and seem to be on their way out.
The other that catches your attention is a black-haired man in a blue suit. He looks around nervously, then ducks into the restroom. He also came from deeper in.

You watch for anyone who might be going by more than once while you work on your application and coffee. Most people are heading towards exits since the mall's closing before long. You don't see catch doubling back, until that man comes staggering out of the bathroom, looks around suspiciously, then starts shuffling towards the exit as quickly as possible.
"Ah, looks like our new friend doesn't feel like coming in. He's hanging around somewhere outside the far entrance," Cu says.

"Most of my experience is fighting out in the open. Plains, forests. A few towns and forts but nothing like this. Big cities like this didn't exactly exist in my time." Cu pauses. "Seems that the big guy's leaving us. West exit, probably. Our other friend's still loitering out to the north."

"I was really asking to figure out if you'd fought in urban environments in past Grail Wars, but at least I can go back to what I had in mind before. The park here in town and the suburbs will be the most suitable arenas for us. While I have my concerns about the park because of how easily outsiders could see fighting, it's the place we'd have the best shot of luring other teams to. It's out of our way tonight, but we can go there from here so you can have a look at it. Our friend can follow if he wants."

You make your way out of the mall and head east, towards the park.
Do you want to head straight there through the heart of the city, or take a longer, safer route hooking around the north end? Or a waaay longer route around south?

You proceed to the park as directly as possible.
When you arrive, you find a sprawling field lined with trees, bushes, and a fence. The gate is locked and it seems to be empty.
"Looks like our friends weren't up for a match. What a shame." Cuu materializes next to you. "Ah, this is more like it! Looks like a great place for a brawl. So how are we going to get them here, Master?"
