Oz: Crossroad of Legends

Location: Vitcity

Before Morgan could get a response from Julia about the reservation she noticed a light coming from her bag.

Morgan opened her bag to see Bret and Meg looking at her. Morgan gave them a glare but the bright light caught her attention. Morgan reached for her soul key was begin to radiate brightly and began to pulse.

"God dammit not now,". "Not when I am about to finally go on a date with Julia,". "Bad key bad," Morgan scolded her Soul Key.

Morgan's Soul Key was not about to listen as is began to glow bright and engulf her in a light. When the light receded, Morgan was no longer present.

Bowser looks at the teddy bear thing and gives him a quick glance. Bowser then shrugs his shoulders unamused by the teddy bear thing.

"Look buddy I am the king of the Koopas,". "I have seen plenty of you Koopas before and you by far are the strangest Koopa,". "Anyways I guess your a native Moogle Koopa from here,". "Who knows maybe I can make you an honorary minion if you prove yourself useful Koopa," Bowser tells the Moogle Koopa.


Sophie just glares (imagine a bird laguz given Bowser the Luigi Death Glare) at Bowser and is unsure if he is being serious.

(Wanted to do a couple of minor intros yeah should have done it sooner but well anyways.)

Location: Star Sanctuary

It was just another day in Star Sanctuary the realm where the guardians of the Mushroom Kingdom keep a watchful eye over the people. One of the most sacred treasures buried deep within the Sanctuary is a sacred artifact known as the Star Rod. The Star Rod gathers wishes of the people throughout the Kingdom and the Star spirits determine what to do with those wishes. A wish that is pure and good in nature the Star Spirits will grant the wish and the wish will come true. A wish which is evil, full of greed, or bad in nature the Spirits reject the wish where they eventually disappear.

One fateful day the Star Sancuarty was invaded by Bowser and his minions. Bowser invaded the sanctuary because his wishes for power and for Peach to love him were constantly rejected by the Star Spirits. Bowser captured the chief guardians and scattered them throughout the Mushroom Kingdom. Bowser used the star rod to then grant himself immense power, and easily defeat Mario, capture the princess, and her kingdom. Mario went on a long journey to find the imprisoned Star Spirits and eventually gain the power to go toe to toe with Bowser. Thanks to the Star Spirits, Mario, Peach, and the wishes of the Mushroom Kingdom they were able to overcome the power of the Star Rod and Bowser. After the battle the Star Spirits took back the Star Rod and the little Star Spirit that helped Mario and Peach throughout Twink returned to the Star Sanctuary where things would return to there peaceful ways. Until one day when Twink was making his usual rounds.

"Hmm everything seems to be in order," Twink says while looking over his checklist.

"Hello, Twink how is everything today?" An elderly looking star with a white mustache said while following Twink.

"Oh hey Elstar sigh ever since the incident things have been quite around here," Twink sighed. "I know I am in training to be a chief star spirit but well," Twink said as he began to drift off.

"Little one you should be careful what you wish for," Elstar told Twink in a stern tone.

"I know sir but well kinda of wish I had a reason to at least see Mario or Peach in person," Twink said.

"I know little one but look on the bright side at least this means that the Kingdom is at peace," Elstar said to Twink.

As Elstar and Twink were making there realms they happened upon the room which held the Star Rod.

"Good evening sir," Joe the guard star said adressing the Elstar.

"Good evening, Joe so how is everything going?" Elstar asked.

"Well there is a report that Mario, Peach, Lady Rosalina, and everybody else at Peach's Castle just disappeared into a flash of light," Joe reported.

"Is this the work of Bowser?" Twink asked.

"Negative Bowser was at the same party, along with everybody else and all reports indicate there was nothing out of the ordinary at least for Bowser's usual behavior," Joe reported.

"Then who, or what?" Twink asked.

"Hmm if its powerful to take everyone including Bowser and Lady Rosalina, it must have been somebody or something really strong and really desperate," Elstar said.

"Umm sire the Star rod its glowing really strange," Joe said. The Star Rod was flashing really brightly, and with an intense light. Finally, the star rod began to rise into the air before it disappeared into a radiant light. When the light recieded there was nothing left but the three star spirits who were stunned by what just happened. "Sir what should we do?" Joe asked.

"Hmm it seems fate has something in store for the Star Rod and everyone else," Elstar said. "Whatever took Mario and his friends must really need the help to take the Star Rod also," Elstar mused.

"Elstar is there anything we can do?" Twink asked.

"All we can do is hope that it makes Mario, and it doesn't fall into the wrong hands," Elstar said.

Location: Oz

A certain red headed merchant dressed in all purple was making her way around Oz when she spots something that catches her attention. "Well what do we have here?" Dark Anna asked as she held the Star Rod.

Location: Shino League

Carleen was making some last minute preparation before her big rematch with Cynthia. Carleen wasn't paying any attention as a bright light engulfs her and her pokemon. She was gone in an instant along with all of her Pokemon.

Location: Terran

Jess has just slipped into her comfy cloths and placed a pretty pink bow on Hilda's heads. Jess was then about to grab something to eat. All of a sudden Jess and Hilda were engulfed in a light and she too vanished in an instant.

Location: Bonneton Kingdom

After his long adventure with Mario, Cappy, a ghost like cap being, was floating around Bonneton. Cappy was bored because of the lack of adventures and everything was at a time of peace. Cappy's sister Tiari, a Tiara ghost like being, flies next to Cappy.

"Big brother why do you look so sad?" Tiari asked Cappy.

"Oh it's nothing sis just bored," Cappy replies.

"Nooooo there's something more like you miss someone," Tiari replied.

Cappy looks towards his sister and just gives her a sigh. "Fine, you win I miss him and the adventure we were on," Cappy said to his sister.

"You me Mr. Mario," Tairi replied.

"Yeah the circumstances regarding our meeting was a rough one,". "Yet despite what Bowser put you and the princess through,". "I still had a lot of fun hanging out with Mario and visiting all those kingdoms and meeting all those different places,". "Plus all of those interesting hats," Cappy says.

"You know we can always just visit him and the princess whenever we want right,". "The princess said we were always welcomed to her kingdom and we can visit anytime," Tiari tells Cappy.

Cappy looked dumbfounded at what his sister just said. He completely forgot about what the Princess said. "Your right lets get the Odysee ready,". Cappy says.

Before Cappy or his sister can react Cappy is engulfed in a bright light and he disappears.

Location: Bowser's Castle

Kamek was enjoying some much needed quiet time in the castle. With Bowser at Princess Peach's Party, Bowser Jr hanging out with his friend he calls Spewy, and the Koopalings keeping the minions in order Kamek was free. He was free to just kick back and relax and do whatever he felt like doing. Kamek decided to go to a place where he could go and relax and where no one would ever bother him.

Kamek went to the grand library in Bowser's Castle and grabbed a book. Since no one bothered to read including Bowser or the others Kamek would head there whenever he just needed to get away. The peace and quite was a nice change of pace and for once he didn't have to deal with his constant headache of a King. Kamek took a seat in a chair and began to read. Kamek didn't realize his magic wand had disappeared. Before he could open his favorite book and begin to read Kamek disappeared in a poof of smoke.

Perimeter Wall

The ballista fire exceeded expectations as it cut through a large swath of the abomination horde, a rain of dust and acid from the Poppipods raining down on the field below them. Only a fraction of the approaching army remained. Where it any other foe, it would've been a crippling blow. Against a horde of beasts working primarily on instinct, however, there was no methods of quelling their aggression, to say nothing of the fact that a fraction of an attack of this magnitude is still considerable indeed.

The soldiers around Leonard were already readjusting the turrets' aim and scrambling for more ammunition. Leonard cursed as the remaining assault dived to lower altitude. The soldiers not concerned with the turrets had already turned their weapons to the enemy formation, but with the Winkies shielding the Kalidah and their pilots, they struggled to inflict any meaningful damage, only managing to damage a few Flying Monkeys and pop more Poppipods. With the Kalidahs gaining momentum and charging directly at the defensive wall, Leonard grabbed a ballista bolt right off a soldiers hands, tightened his grasp, and flung it in front of the enemy's advance. As soon as the bolt hit the ground -- skewering a stray monkey's wing on the way -- the earth beneath groaned before large, thick walls of dirt rose between the town wall and the horde. A number of the abominations crashed into the new fortification. The Monkeys that ran into it were inconvenienced at worst, but the Kalidah that rammed in at full speed had almost completely buried themselves into the soft clay.

"Good thinking, sir!" the soldier whose bolt Leonard had pilfered commented.

Leonard grimaced instead of celebrating, however. The advance had already gotten too close for the ballista to be of much use anymore, and the Monkeys were already beginning to grab the Kalidah that halted in time. "Don't go lax on me!" He roared. "Here they come!"

The abominations took flight once again, soaring up until they passed the wall. Despite the artillery and magic thrown their way, large swaths of the horde cleared the wall and began to fly toward the palace.

The ones who didn't fell upon the soldiers on the wall.

"Stand your ground!" Leonard declared amongst the chaos as a Kalidah dropped down in front of him. "One more abomination you kill is one less the capitol has to deal with!" The beast took eye of him and began to charge. Leonard walked towards it in turn. "I have forged you for this moment! Show that you are the pride of Yuleia!!"

Leonard brought his fist toward the Kalidah.

Palace Hallway

Glinda stepped through the rift, followed by most of her royal guard. She turned right and began a brisk walk. Another guard ran up to her and matched her hurried pace.

"Status!" commanded Glinda.

"My lady, a large number of Witchspawn is coming this way! General Skaar's forces managed to decimate much of them, but a lot of their number have flown above the walls!"

"Are the citizens under attack?" Glinda inquired.

"No my lady, they seem to be directly going to--"

The sounds of artillery shot out extremely close to the queen's current location. One of the wall in front of Glinda suddenly burst inward as a Kalidah crashed in, with a few Monkeys falling in with it, a few injures with them. The Kalidah and most of the monkeys turned to face them.

The ritual room is just past there. We can't waste time dealing with this.

"Mages!" Glinda ordered. "Vulcan formation!"

The spellcasters among the royal guard gave their ready. Glinda opened a portal slightly to the left of the Kalidah's path, as one mage fired an incantation blast to another portal Glinda opened in front of him. The magic appeared out of Glinda's other portal and hit the ground, manifesting a small, red rune. Glinda quickly opened another pair of portals; one parallel to the rune on the other side of the hallway, and one in front of another mage. After another rune was set, Glinda performed the same action another time, this time setting a rune some ways behind the beast. Two magical lines shot out from each rune and connected with the other two. Once connected, a wall of light shot up, encasing the beast in a triangular barrier.

"Fire!"

A giant eruption of scorching fire manifested inside the barrier.

Ritual Room

Whatever the Outlanders were saying, to Cia it was drowned out by a strange surge of energy within the air.

This feeling... Is someone attempting to...?

Cia rose her staff and turned all of her attention to keeping the ritual stable. Around her, the soldiers had drawn their weapons and were cautiously approaching the door.

"Are you finished bickering?", Alvis asked. "If you can fight, prepare yourself for anything that bursts out from that door. If not, then go to the back of the room and keep your head down."

The floor rumbled. The sound of gunfire and blasts could be heard steadily coming closer. Alvis passed a glance at Cia at the corner of his eye. She stood in the middle of the ritual, holding on to her glowing staff, visibly struggling.

"Cia, status!" Alvis called.

"I..." Cia choked out. "I-I think..."

The gates to the hall exploded in a shower of dust and debris. The force of the blast was enough to stagger most of the room's occupants, Cia included. She cried out as she lost control of the ritual, a blast from her staff slamming her against the wall as the monolith of light collapsed upon itself. Thin, square lisps of white lights floated where the light once stood before flickering away in a light.

Cia crumpled and fell to the groan, crying out painfully as she watched the light vanish before her eyes, faintly aware of the ravenous screeches over her ringing head. Her staff clattered a little ways beyond arm's reach.

"Here they come!"

A storm of wind picked up in the room as Alvis faced the horde of Flying Monkey invaders.

By the gods, it's as if the entirety of the Witch's forces were concentrated here!

"Hah!"

Alvis shot his hand to the wall as large blades of wind shot out and began slicing up the invaders, creating a shower of golden dust as the Flying Monkeys were cut, dismembered, and blown away, pushing the bulk of the forces backward. Despite his best efforts, however, a few of them managed to past through some of the cracks in his defense. Some had lunged toward the Yuleian guards, for the most part evenly matched with them as they fought back with their weapons.

Before the soldiers or Summoners could respond the walls shattered and a bunch of flying monkeys appeared.

Sonic looks over to the foe and begins to balance the Chaos Emerald on his fingertip. Sonic begins to flip the Emerald in the air and then towards the soldiers and summoner. "Oh looks like they decided to crash the party," Sonic tells them.

"No sweat I dealt with far worse,". Sonic tells them.

Sonic then flips the Chaos Emerald into the air and begins to attack the monkeys and other foes invading. Sonic begins moving from one foe to another at lighting fast speed. The flying foes can't keep up with his speed and begin firing in random directions hoping to hit him. They Monkeys end up hitting there own kind and some of the other spawns that arrived. Sonic then proceeds to spin through the mechanical spider looking things at high speed and before they can react they are already destroyed. Sonic then proceeds to taunt the stone golem things into hitting various other monkeys and mechanical spiders.

All this happened while the Chaos Emerald was spinning in the air. Sonic then rushes back to where he started mere moments before the Emerald touches the ground. Sonic could only be seen as a Blue Blur to anyone who wasn't use to his speed or moving at his speed. Sonic catches the Emerald and when the dust settles all the foes attacking Sonic were gone. Only for 100 more to take the place of the fallen. Sonic just lets out a sigh as he looks at the foe.

Bowser looks over towards the Moogle Koopa and is midly amused. Yet in the end the Moogle Koopa only used cards, Bowser just huffs. Also the Blue Hedgehog was able to show off a bit but Bowser has seen better. All the Blue Hedgehog did was run in circles, Bowser can run in a circle if he wanted to. Also if those flying things can fall to people running and cards they were no concern to Bowser.

"Hmph time to show you what a real Koopa can do," Bowser calls out.

Bowser takes the magic wand in his hand, "Yet these lightweights aren't worth my time,". "Luckily I got lightweights of my own and they can handle this," Bowser holds the magic wand in the air. Bowser was looking to summon Petty Piranha to handle the monkeys. Instead Bowser summons a very confused Kamek.

"Sire what are you doing here,". "I thought you were at Princess Peach's castle at a party?". "Wait don't tell me you were misbehaving?". "That red headed woman can get awfully scary when she's angered," Kamek tells Bowser.

"Hmph I was actually behaving for once,". "These jerks over here kidnapped me and want me to fight,". "You know what it's like to be kidnapped against your will,". "Being taken from a place when you have no idea what's going on," Bowser huffs towards Kamek.

"Sire umm, nows not the time for that," Kamek reminds him as a horde of mechanical spiders and a couple dozen stone Golems were marching towards him.

Bowser looks unamused and picks up one of the mechanical spiders and flips them into the air. Bowser crashes into the middle of the foes scattering them. The mechanical spider was shattered underneath Bowser's weight along with anyone who was caught in the splash zone. Bowser then leaps into the air and then crashes right on top a couple of the stone golems. The Stone Golems were destroyed almost instantly. Bowser then retreats into his shell and begins to spin along the ground clearing some space for him. Then Bowser squats onto his leg and then drop kicks a group of Stone Golems. A nice hole was in the middle of the Golems and they collapsed into a pile.

A group of Monkeys were attempting to attack Bowser from above but were shot out of the air by an arrow made of light.

"Hey loud mouth less showing off and more fighting," Sophie calls out firing out a couple of arrows towards the flowing monkeys.

"I could of handle them myself thank you very much," Bowser responds.

"This isn't good though there are to many of them and even with the others taking them out easily,". "It's like more are there to replace them,". "It would be better if Mario, Mama Rosalina, and the others were here,". "I don't want to have to use this now but I don't know where Ann is and I don't know if the others having healing capabilities,".

Sophie grasps her Phoenix Stone and begins to chant towards it. A fiery red aura begins to surround Sophie and she is enveloped in flames. While in the flames Sophie's silver hair becomes a fiery red, her wings becomes a radiant red color and she is bathed in a red fiery aura. When the flames recede Sophie opens her eyes and her golden eyes stare towards the foe. Sophie lifts her palm and a couple of pillars of flames erupt and disintegrate the monkeys into nothing.

"Hmph over here trying to copy my style,". "I used flames first thank you very much," Bowser tells Sophie. Bowser then rears his head and lets loose a stream of flames towards the incoming horde of mechanical spiders.

"Sire now's not the time for that," Kamek reminds Bowser.

Sophie ignores Bowser and instead launches multiple fire balls towards the Golems causing them to melt. "Let me know if anyone is injured I can provide some healing if you need it," Sophie calls out.

Bowser, Sonic, and Sophie are able to hold there own against the seemingly unended swarm of spawns.

Celestial Tower

A towering angelic figure is hunched over a desk.  A pair of smaller angels on the other side are giving a report.  "We've cornered them in the forest.  There's no way for them to escape," one says.  "All the exits are under tight guard, other than the bait."

"Have we confirmed which of our targets are there?"

"Soul, Earth, and Machine for sure.  We think Fire, as well.  Light is on the way."

"Good.  If everything goes to plan, we'll gain the upper hand in one fell swoop.  Even if we fail, we've gained some valuable information.  Tell C to pull back, and order D to continue her attack..."

The angelic figure whirls around to the window.  "Someone is there again.  Who-"

With a bright flash, she disappears.

Burning Forest

A figure clad in full, black-iron platemail strides through a burning forest.  It pauses for a moment, listening at something in the distance.  Then it spreads wings and leaps.

It lands silently behind a group of three figures as they discuss their plans.  "We'll head into the forest and-"

Hands wrap around his neck from behind.  In a heartbeat, the armored monster rips out his throat and turns to the others.

"R-run!" one yells.

The pair both start to run.  The armored figure holds up a palm.  A sigil appears for a moment, then a bolt of light pierces one through the heart.  The other is struck by a fragment of the spell, but stands and continues to run.  The armored monster considers for a moment, then turns and lets him escape.  As the figure walks away, a flame flares up and swallows it.

Church

A nun rises from her prayer.  "It is time."

"Yes.  We can no longer sit idly by," a male voice answers from the thin air.

"Caster must be stopped."  The nun adjusts her hood and turns to the door.

"Let none stand in our way.  If they so dare, I shall cut them down."

"I shall fight by your side."  The woman clutches a rosary as she pushes open the door, only to be engulfed in a brilliant light.

Barracks

"Are you well, Klein?"  A woman in imposing metal armor asks as she sets her helmet aside, letting her hair drop loose.  Red scales poke out from under her gorget.  "You've been acting a bit strange lately.  It worries me."

"I'm fine, Rin.  Just tired after that last mission.  But I'm a bit worried about Una."

"Is something wrong?"

"I think she may be sick or something.  It's got me worried."

"You already said that."

"Yeah?  Well.  I'm double-worried.  So it's fine."

"I see.  I think I'll go talk to her.  But you...  I'm going to make you take a break.  We'll push the rookies a bit harder to make up for it."

"But-"

"You're to rest this next week.  I don't care whether I have to make this an official assignment or post armed guards outside your room.  I'll strap you to your damn bed if that's what it takes."

"Fine, fine.  You've made your point.  Well, then.  Guess I'll start with a nice bowl of stew.  Maybe take some to Una.  Swoop in to drop it off while you're leaving.  Score some serious points..."  The half-demon turns and walks out of the room with a shrug.

The captain lets a small smile slip across her lips as he leaves.  She turns back to some paperwork as a bright light engulfs her.

Throne Room

"Queen Glinda.  A moment, if you would.  I believe it would be wise to inform Lana of the details of our...  Hmph.  Apologies.  I need to address this immediately before someone is injured.  Again."  The elderly lady kneels beside the throne, sinking into the ground.

She reappears in one of the guest rooms, where a younger woman in the same maid uniform is struggling to hold a large sword.  "Wow...  It's so much heavier than I expected!" she gushes.  "This metal...  Not steel, not iron.  So sharp.  What is this?  It's amazing!  Hrrrmph..."

The younger maid attempts to swing the blade, and clumsily nearly falls over.  The older maid catches her, and the young one's eyes widen in pure terror.  "Having fun, Alice?"

"Yes...  Yes ma'am..." she says.

"I'm glad to hear that.  Because you're going to have plenty of 'fun' later.  In the dungeon."

"S-scrubbing it again, right?"

"To start with.  Perhaps we should test to make sure all the old equipment works, as well.  Just in case any other maids decide to play around with our guests' personal belongings.  We'll see what sort of mood I'm in later.  I suggest you get to work.  Quickly."

"Y-yes, ma'am!" the younger maid stands and darts off as quickly as possible.

"Now, back to matters at hand..."

She begins to sink into the floor again, only to vanish.

Ephesus Throne Room

A humanoid figure appears, crouching.  In an instant, it's replaced by a figure nearly twice as tall.  Six wings appear around its feminine body, one covering its face.  She looks around the room, silently observing the menagerie from beneath her makeshift mask.

Ritual Room

June looks at the charging enemies, then turns and grabs Jasper with one hand.  She starts to drag him away as a monkey swoops in.  She pulls her hatchet out with her free hand, tossing it at the creature.  The hatchet buries itself in the monkey as it drops to the ground.  With a flash, it reappears in June's hand.  She swings and chops another monkey as it claws at her, then swats at another as she continues to shield and shove Jasper back towards the rear line.

As another monkey swoops down, it's suddenly crushed under a pair of horse's hooves.  "Marth!" June yells excitedly.

The armored horse snorts.
