Well, I don't have any money, but I can at least make some friends.
Clyde: "Um, hello. My name is Clyde... I'm a new member of Sparky's Guild. I need to make some new friends around here... What's your name?"
Clyde will extend his string in a friendly way for a handshake of sorts.

"Hm? Oh, hi. I'm Mona. This is my shop." Mona shakes Clyde's...string. She then returns to painting as she talks. "We get new adventurers all the time. It's like they've just been falling out of the sky lately! Well, some of them actually have! There was a Pikachu that showed up just a couple of days ago! She didn't seem to remember anything though. It makes me wonder if all these new Pokemon is a coincidence."

I remember seeing Paula fall out of the sky about a week ago, but that about covers suspicious Pokemon. Maybe somebody else knows about it. Since you're here, did you want to buy anything? We've got a nice HM in stock. You should buy it before somebody else does!"

"I've been hearing talk around town about these wands that have a variety of effects when swung, and while I wasn't sure if they were anything more than rumors a friend brought one back from a dungeon earlier today. These wands sound like they could be really useful when exploring dungeons, so if the other town has any in stock it might be nice to have them available to buy here."

Mona: Those are pretty rare here. Since wands don't usually break, they're hard to get. I heard they are found in dungeons though.
(In this game, wands don't break, so they're rarer than they are in real PMD. That's why you've only found one so far.)
