It's been a while since the 2017 Gauntlet. Despite not concluding, it had some pretty epic moments. I've had this in mind to host since that event, and I have a plan to make sure it runs smooth as silk and doesn't get caught up waiting for player input from every player every round. That's because this will be the very first Royal Rumble ever hosted on Vitcon! I've done one as part of a game back on Gamefaqs, but my writing abilities have improved substantially since then. Now, for those of you who don't know the rules of the Royal Rumble, that is fine. I have changed them to accommodate superhuman combat. Here they are:
1. The Royal Rumble takes place in an arena, with an extra-large boxing-style ring located in the center of the stadium floor. It's big and wide enough to accomodate people knocking one another around a fair bit, but be careful, because...
2. If you are sent flying out of the ring over the top rope, you are in danger of being eliminated. Any fighter whose feet touch the ground, walls or who is sent rocketing through the ceiling is out of the Gauntlet and cannot return. Once all competitors but one have been eliminated, that last one is declared the victor! This gives a significant advantage to lucky battlers, because...
3. All entrants must draw a number between 1 and 30. The competitors who enter at numbers 1 and 2 will begin the fight in the ring. At regular timed intervals, additional participants will enter from backstage in the order that they drew. This isn't the only thing that happens from time to time though.
4. Once in a while, items and other strange encounters will be introduced to the arena. Much like in Super Smash, competitors can choose to go after them, ignore them, camp them, or do any number of things to give themselves an advantage. There are, however, additional items allowed.
5. Competitors may enter with a single weapon or other foreign implement, because this is a HARDCORE RUMBLE. This will generally be something like a signature object, but it could be something major like a powered armor suit if the competitor would be helpless without it. Be reasonable and think of something that would lead to interesting storytelling, and it'll almost certainly be approved. This is also optional - fans will surely enjoy seeing people who fight with no weaponry at all!
6. The fans, incidentally, totally matter. They'll be parked in their seats throughout the rumble, there as a powerful source of support! Without the fans' approval, competitors have long odds in the Gauntlet, as in this battle, support literally feeds them might and endurance. This is especially important for combatants that enter early into the battle. The fans are easy to satisfy though - charismatic behavior and awesome battle style/special attacks interest them, as do underdogs and a bunch of other things you can figure out.
7. Thankfully, characters are only eliminated from the Rumble if they exit or are launched over the top rope of the ring. This means it's possible to roll under the bottom rope or go between the middle and the bottom or top, and be able to fight around the arena without being in danger! This can be taken advantage of in any number of ways (be creative), but my personal favorite is to check under the ring! You may find any number of excellent foreign objects down there, and smol characters may find even more...
8. While excellently powerful healers are on duty to make sure everyone can confidently fight their best without worry, killing opponents is illegal and will be punished severely. To say the least, anyone who kills a foe is instantly eliminated from the Gauntlet. This is also the only non-traditional way to be eliminated - ganging up, barred holds and obviously weapons will not get you disqualified.
9. All species and types of characters are allowed, but I highly recommend characters with interesting and unique styles of fighting. Very powerful characters are allowed, but ought to be careful, as big power means big target!
10. Players may play as any character from Vitcon and most other entertainment media. It helps if I know them, but if you get me up to speed just about anyone's fine.

11. You may have two characters - one who is in the Royal Rumble so you can enjoy them in it, and the other is in the Rumble to win it. Only tell me which is which through PM, otherwise signups are public. Signup sheet going up next, but if you want, any character from the defunct Glitz Pit is instantly approved.
12. The prize for victory is none other than the brand-new Vitcon Championship Title, which can hopefully be portrayed in badge form as suggested on user rewards. You'll share it with your character! Hopefully next year we'll be able to do another Gauntlet, and it can be fought for yearly.
Any questions, feel free to ask them in here.
