---Lazarus--- mrfuzz111There was an earthquake... Lazarus remembers an earthquake... As his eyes slowly opens, he tries to remember what led to this... The Lizalfos entered a dark room alongside two Sheikah twins, leaving Vaikau in the main area of what they called "The Living Dungeon"... The door closed behind them and got blocked by bars... A bulky armored creature then appeared in front of Lazarus, Apra and Eula, holding some kind of big zigzagy sword. Before the fight could start, it happened. The earthquake. The floor caved in under the four entities, everyone falling with it. Lazarus was now in some kind of cave area, with no idea how much time passed since he fell unconscious. Looking around, the first thing he notices is definitely worrisome... No signs of the Phantom. The Lizalfos then realises his hands are free and that his sword and boomerang are in reach, next to himself. His legs are stuck under a rock though. Apra and Eula both seems to be completely covered in rubbles, except from the neck up. The big door from which they entered the room is also laying on the ground, but it seems to not be touching it, as if something was under the door. The twins are moving, so they're definitely alive. ---Cogman--- DigiBlack... Everything is black. Cogman knows that feeling though. That means he got deactivated somehow and is now being reactivated. Soon, his sight would come back. All he rembers is Ms. Faye screaming, then... Nothing. He didn't even have time to investigate. As his sight comes back, the first thing Cogman sees is a big window, with tons of robots of various shape and sizes, obviously deactivated, slowly being moved by a conveyor belt. Looking around, Cogman is in a room with many carboard boxes piled together, a door leading to the room he's seeing from here. He also notices some kind of orangeish round creature with a beige coloration in the front, around 2 little eyes, but no nose or mouth. The creature is holding a spear and sporting a blue bandana. It seems ready to attack, yet not hostile. Bandana Dee: "I didn't recognize your model, so I was hoping I managed to find how to reactivate you... They took machines like you, I don't know from where... I managed to snatch you before they reprogram you into killing machines like the others... They call me Bandana Dee, do you have a name?" |

Groaning from soreness, Lazarus tries to push the rock off him and grabs his weapon (slight correction, his sword is his boomerang rather than them being two separate items) while looking around the room from his current position for his bow. After that he'll go help the twins, all while keeping an eye on the door. Vaikau could be under there if the main room collapsed too, but so could the Phantom...

Cogman almost instinctively bows. " You may address me as Cogman." He glances around the room.
"I beg your pardon but have you seen my mistress around here anywhere? It would be remiss of me to not be by her side shall she require my service."

(My bad, sign-up said skills with swords and boomerangs, so I misinterpreted it.)
Lazarus struggles to get the rocks off of him, but with his upper half free, he reaches to his boomerang sword, which he's then able to use as leverage to remove the rocks, freeing himself and finding his bow under them. Lazarus grabs onto his bow and walks towards the twins, while looking at the door.
Using the same process as he did to free himself, Lazarus is able to free the shorter twin, which then help him lift the rest of the rubbles with ease. The twins bow at Lazarus, as a voice is heard under the door.
??: "Hey... What happened? Everything's dark..."
---Cogman---
Bandana Dee looks around confused, then responds.
Bandana Dee: "Mistress? Unless your mistress is another robot, I doubt it... I'm supposed to be working with those shadow guys to reprogram these robots to do "their master's will", but after I saw them kill some armored guys with pointy ears...
Let's just say I decided not to work for them. Stealing food is something, but murder, that's far even for King Dedede...
I can't believe he accepted to work for them...
Oh sorry... Your mistress... Look... If they brought her in this factory, she's probably...
Let's not think about it. We're better off trying to escape this place... If you accept to help me of course!"

Lazarus bows back, then turns to face the door again.
"Vaikau, isss that you? Hang on, we'll get you out from under there."
Go get the door off of him with the help of the twins.

Cogman does not even take a second to reply. "Very well. I've computed numerous possible scenarios and I believe making an escape with your assistance forthwith provides the highest possible chance of locating Ms. Faye as quickly as possible."
He steps forward. "Shall we proceed?"

Lazarus walks to the door, as the twins nod and they start lifting the door.
Vaikau: "Of course it's me! Who else would it be? Wait... Where are you Lazarus? Everything's dark, I don't see you... I can't move either."
As the three of you push away the door, you can see that it's indeed the Zora under there. He looks around confused, stands up, dusts himself up and grabs his pitchfork.
Vaikau: "Oh... Under the door... I should have thought about it... Glad to see all three of you are fine, but... Where are we?"
Apra: "I... I don't remember this place. What about you, sister?"
Eula: "We're definitely underground... But The Living Dungeon is way too mystical for such thing as tunnels to be under it... This is either an illusion, or The Living Dungeon was bested by something..."
Vaikau: "This is all good, but shouldn't we try to get back to Hyrule Field... And there's 4 tunnels... So are we going north, south, east or west? Well, never mind me, I don't think we even know where north is currently."
---Cogman---
Bandana Dee: "Well, depends on how you want to proceed. Should we just get back into the factory and fight our way through or should we go through the vents? We could also just walk our way out if you think you can impersonate murderer robots I imagine... Oh. Stealth. Stealth is always an option too. We just hide and pass all the evil robots without being seen...
What do you prefer? I'll follow your lead."

"Fighting would be inconvenient and slow us down. I recommend we exercise caution and use a stealthy route. Perhaps we should try the vents, yes?"

Lazarus approaches the closest of the four exits, staring intently down the tunnel as his tongue darts in and out of his mouth taking in the scents in the air. Once he's done with this one he goes to each of the other three tunnels and does the same, searching for any faint lights he might see better than the others or the scent of any living things including the Phantom.

Lazarus starts investigating each tunnels, while the twins are checking if they got all their equipment.
The first tunnel seems to be nothing special. The density of the air is the same as the room you're currently in, and no life forms are detected that way.
The second tunnel feels different. Hotter. Significantly hotter. The rocks in the tunnel are also darker, as if it wasn't part of the same tunnel system. The heat makes it difficult to detect lifeforms, but light can be seen in the distance, altough reddish.
The third one has brown rocks like the first one, but the air feels fresher. Lifeforms are detected by Lazarus though. A lot of them.
The fourth one is quite strange. The air feels in constant flux, but Lazarus thinks he sees some light at the end of it.
---Cogman---
Bandana Dee: "Vents it is..."
Dee walks towards the closest vent and thanks to his spear is able to remove the lid. He tries to reach inside the vent though and gives up pretty quickly.
Bandana Dee: "Could you help me in please? You're taller than me."
Cogman hears faint voices coming towards the storage room from behind the door. The voices feel growlish and altough faint, they seem to mention a missing robot.

Lazarus relays back his findings.
"That one isss more of the sssame. Over here there'sss light, but given the powerful heat and color it'sss probably from a pool of magma or other natural sssource. Thisss next one ssseems promising, the air sssmells fresh and full of activity. Could be people, could be danger. Lastly... I can't get a good read on the fourth tunnel, but I think I sssee light. We should probably take the third tunnel, but ssstay alert."
Lazarus begins to go through the third tunnel.

Cogman silently consents and begins to push Bandana Dee into the vent carefully, but with force.
He stays alert to the noises behind them, though.

---Tutorial---
If potentially hostile entities appear, but no HUD, this means they are mooks. Mooks cannot hurt you mechanically, so if you decide to fight them, you can just defeat them as you see fit.
Note that you can also have a battle against mooks go longer than you dfeating them in one hit if you feel your character can't possibly defeat the number of mooks in front of him.
Friendly NPCs do not get HUDs, so don't mistake those for mooks. If you you decide to be hostile towards them, then you'll get an actual battle.
---Lazarus---
As you walk into the third tunnel, you quickly reach a point where you hear noises in the distance... Noises that sounds like weapons clashing. You can see that straight ahead, the tunnel ends into a bigger room.
There's another tunnel to the right of the party though.
Vaikau: "Hum... I don't want to take the lead, but that sounds like a big battle and well... I'm a farmer."
The twins are readying their weapons.
---Cogman---
You push Bandana Dee inside the vent, whom didn't seem to hear the voices. As he enter the vent though, he sees the doorknob moves and quickly closes in the vent, holding to it so the grate doesn't fall off.
Two creatures enter the storage room... Two black as shadows humanoids, devoid of facial traits, with sharp claws at the end of their hands. They look at each other, then at Cogman.
Necrosian 1: "Did we send a robot to the storage?"
Necrosian 2: "Hey. What's your duty in here?"
