A bounty has been put on your head, you tried to avoid sectors where you could meet Bounty Hunters, but you had to pass by Tallon IV eventually. A ship spotted yours and while you wished it was not someone after you, it shot you down before you could react.
Their spaceships were definitely better than yours, so you decided to land on Tallon IV, even though you were aware that the planet was hostile.
You landed in the grassy area, you could stay there, as you know they're gonna find you wherever you go, but you could also explore and find a better place to make your stand. The choice is yours, but you'll have to fight whoever's after you or dangerous creatures eventually...

Out of curiosity does the choices above only affect what stage hazards are present, or will certain phases have different enemies depending on the locations?
As for characters, while originally I was thinking of going with Jason Frudnick from Blaster Master (specifically with his Zero 2 moveset), now that I’ve finally played Star Fox 2 I’m kind of tempted to go with Fay from that instead. Jason’s got a larger arsenal that’d be harder to explain beforehand (and means I’d probably have a wiki open in the background), but Fay could just play like a speedy zoner version of Fox and Falco in Smash with a forcefield move she can move with instead of the reflector and a better blaster that fires double shots and a homing charge shot, but with a tradeoff like less defense or weaker melee attacks. I would think about bringing a healer, but I can’t really think of any that fit the sci-fi theme.

The map choice will only affect the map, and therefore the stage hazards.
The enemies are the same whichever map you choose

So in the event that nobody else votes for a location, can I put in a self-tiebreaker? I’d rather fight at Phendrana Drifts than Chozo Ruins.

Alright, moveset time. Unsurprisingly I’m basing this off all the other Star Fox characters in Smash with some modifications, if it’s good enough for Sakurai it’s good enough for me. I’m also not bothering with normals since with IBB being a discord game rather than a video game I can just say “Fay kicks them” or something and don’t need to define what a kick is beforehand, just the specials. Neutral Special: Blasters A pair of handguns modified by Slippy. Capable of performing rapid fire shots as well as charging up for a stronger homing blast. Side Special: Fay Mirage A quick dash fast enough to leave an afterimage as Fay barrels through anything in her path. It’s weaker than Fox and Falco’s versions, but travels farther. Up Special: Spark Rush Surrounds Fay in electricity before launching her in any direction. An electrical version of Fox, Falco and Wolf’s Up Special. Down Special: Reflector An electromagnetic barrier that reflects most enemy projectiles. It also deals contact damage to enemies, but the range is pretty short.
In addition, some items based on the special weapons in Star Fox 2 to help add more options. Fay gets 3 Super Shields since those are the special weapon she starts with, and one each of the other two. These do not replenish between waves. Smart Bomb A throwable explosive device that deals heavy damage to anything caught in its blast. Identical to how it works in Smash. Med Relief A medpack that can be used to replenish a large amount of health. Super Shield A device that generates a shield around the user, making them invulnerable for a short time (no more than a turn or two).
