Okay... So... I like both series. But I got into DOOM with 2016 DOOM and didn't finish the game for many reasons, but it's definitely NOT because I didn't like it. I want to go back to it eventually and then get Eternal after.
With that said, I just have more history with Soulcalibur. It's not only the only traditional fighting game series I enjoy, it's a game I immediately relate to back when I could play games with my brother. Many of the characters are personal memes for him and me. Ivy and Voldo for example. The rest are just characters I totally love, like Nightmare, Zasalamel, Tira and Talim.
For having a cast of characters dear to me and being something I relate to my brother, my vote will go to Soulcalibur.
