Sam

"Wow that's a lot to take in," Sam says in response to Tia.

Sam has an idea on what to do with the pile. Sam will snap her fingers and summon Kirbi ("Poyo").

Sam will then instruct Kirbi to inhale a piece of metal and then shot it at the bigger pile of metal.

Dewey nods, Analyzing the buff shark dudes.

Tia winds back, readying her spear. As the sharks begin to advance, Kiran pulls out a small cape and waves it in front of his face. The shark winds up, aiming a powerful hook at Kiran's face. Then it punches you. Before you can recover from the confusion of that sudden warping of space-time or whatever just happened, the other shark winds back and throws a straight at you. The combined blows send you flying back into Tia, bowling her over. You feel Dizzy as you struggle to disentangle yourselves. Tia stands back, shakes her head, then throws her spear. It goes wide. Looks like she's Dizzy, too...


Sam

Freya swings her foot, and a soccer ball appears from nowhere just in time to get launched at the closer of the sharks. It bounces off with a dull thud. The shark snarls, then leaps at her. It bites down on her arm and proceeds to hold her in place.

"Hey, let GO you big jerk!" she yells.

"Freya!" Raine runs over, winding back and Bashing it with her umbrella. The shark narrows its eyes at her, but doesn't let go.

You summon a set of clouds that start pouring down on the enemy. While you do, the other shark runs over, bites down, then rips at you, leaving you with a Grizzly Wound.

Sam will use gentle Raine on the party to heal what the sharks did.

Dewey

"My dear Dewey, a magician never reveals his secrets!" Kiran insists.  A box appears around him, then seven shining swords materialize and stab into it.  The box opens, and one of the sharks staggers out, badly injured.  Kiran appears from behind the box.  "Ta-dah!"

Tia runs forward and stabs it before it has a chance to recover.  The shark slumps over as she kicks if off of her spear.  "...Ew.  Why is it all gross and metally?" she asks.

"Metallic," Kiran corrects her.

Dewey fires thorns at the other shark.  It jumps over them and runs at him, but Tia gets in the way.  The monster settles for biting her shoulder and latching on instead.


Sam

Freya swings her free arm, and a tennis racket and ball appear.  The ball goes flying and bounces off a wall, ricocheting to hit the shark wrapped around her arm.  It rebounds with a metallic thud..

The other shark punches Sam with a hard right hook.  She feels a dull pain echoing from her open wound.  Her key starts humming.  Sam lets out a rain cloud that makes the pain die down and her key quiet down.

"H-hey!  P-pay attention to me you big brute!" Raine demands.  She raises her umbrella and a stream of water pours out of the tip.  She flicks it like a whip, striking the shark attached to Freya.  The monster hisses and lets go, turning to face Raine instead.  "O-oh, dear..."


Karl

You continue watching the fight, and then you feel a tapping on your shoulder.  Hard.

Realizing that in his current state another Mystic Thorns would be just as likely to hit Tia as its intended target, Dewey instead uses Mystic Pulse to send a small wave of soul power in the general direction of the shark biting her rationalizing that even if he does accidentally hit Tia with it instead she’d probably barely feel it.

Sam

(You'll need to re-summon Poyo every fight)

The shark that just let go of Freya and started moving after Raine charges.  Sam takes the chance to launch a Celestial Strike at it, punting a ball straight at it.  It takes the hit but keeps coming.

"No, Sam!"  Raine shoves you aside as the monster punches her in the face with a Hook.  "Ngh...  Freya!"

"Right!"  Freya hops into the air, dropping down and kicking it in the back.  "This is our...!"

Raine hops back, then spins and kicks it on the opposite side.  "Twin Strike!" she calls out.  The monster crumples to the ground, dead.  Raine turns back to face you, hopping excitedly with a smile on her face.  "Did you see that, Sa-"

The other Shark punches you in the chest with a Straight.  You go flying back, crashing into Raine.  The two of you crash to the ground, tangled up together and Dizzy.  Your key is whining loudly again.

"Ow..." Raine groans.  "Are you OK, Sam?"

Freya snorts.  "How about you two lovebirds save the cuddling for later?"


Dewey

Dewey fires a pulse of Soul energy.  He manages to hit the Shark, and feels his head clearing up.  Tia throws her spear into the air, letting it split into dozens of spears that rain down on the shark.  The shark snarls and starts bearing down on you.  Then a loud clang rings out.  As the Shark slumps to the ground, you see Kiran standing behind it with a large mallet resting on his shoulder.

"I should get a catchphrase..." Kiran says to himself.  "Hey, did that watermelon guy have a line?  Oh, hi Karl."

Karl goes running by.


Karl

Karl sprints past Fox and Katie, then jumps the Sam/Raine pile, ducks a shark, passes Kiran - "Oh, hi Karl" - and skids to a stop at the end of the hall.  He turns and looks into the next room, where he sees what looks like a robotic claw used on some kind of factory assembly line... looking...? at him from the corner.
