This study, the first of its kind, has now been officially approved by the board of WanderLuna Corporation. It has been fully approved by the World Environmental Council, and oversight will be carried out by a special task force representing over 100 countries.
Our long-term goal is to establish a lasting colony on the moon, in order to ensure the survival of humanity as we catapult into the stars. However, we still face many difficulties. In order to study the effects of lunar isolation, we are creating a series of closed, environmental units deep in the Antarctic. Each of the WanderLuna "Wonderland" units will be carefully monitored and controlled in order to test different variables of interest.
Wonderland A: Effects of sustained low-supply conditions
Wonderland B: Effects of reduced gravity and limited muscular training
Wonderland C: Effects of loss of guidance systems
Wonderland D: Effects of altered day-night cycle
Wonderland E: Effects necessary romantic entanglements (*participants selected as couples)
Wonderland F: Control unit
You have been selected to participate as a member of UNIT WANDERLAND F.
While the program is expected to be extremely stressful and you will be required to strictly follow several rules, successful completion of the program will come with a generous payout as well as other benefits, including preferential enrollment at many leading universities followed by guaranteed employment at WanderLuna Corporation, affiliates, or select government organizations. Additionally, those who demonstrate strong levels of success during this experiment will be automatically approved as participants of the final realization of the Luna Colonization Project, regardless of talent. Please note that this does not guarantee you will be selected as a member of the colonial groundbreaking party, but a position will be reserved following successful completion of the environmental units.
Following is a list of all rules participants will be required to follow.
Rule 0: Participation in this program is confidential and you will not know the identities of other participants until you arrive.
1. Upon arrival at the shuttle facility, all possessions will be surrendered. Necessary items (including requested items pending task force approval) and workspaces will be prepared on Wonderland F.
2. Participants will be monitored through a variety of methods at all times; a degree of privacy may be expected as decided by the directing task force.
3. Upon arrival at Wonderland F, participants will be unable to leave until the experiment is declared complete. Please note that while WanderLuna Corporation has designed several protocols to release this rule in an emergency, weather conditions may prevent extraction.
4. While some necessary or reasonable modifications to living space will be allowed on a case-by-case basis, wonton destruction of WanderLuna Corporation property will not be tolerated and will, at minimum, result in a deduction of funds from participant payout.
5. Follow all orders from WanderLuna Corporation's on-site director of Wonderland F to the best of participant ability.
