Alice bows and disappears.

"Not great," Texas admits. "Not great at all. Not a fan of watchin' people die, guilty or not. And 'specially when they take a group o' innocents with 'em. And I'm one of the ones here more used t' this sorta thing. Everyone else seems pretty well OK, though." He pauses. "Wanna take that book 'n' go grab breakfast while the others are explorin' the new rooms?"

Texas looks over his shoulder to make sure he's the only one here. "Well, yeah? Not like a date or nothin', just to chew the fat while we chew the fat. Plenty t' talk about with this place."

Texas grab's your wrist and gives you a sharp tug up to her feet. "C'mon, we'll get first dibs on it."

You head to the cafeteria and find the morning you can pick between a bacon biscuit with eggs or a riceball with a jelly doughnut.

"So, hm. Y'know, I wanna think about somethin' else than all this for a bit. So what do y' do fer fun? When yer not stargazin', I mean."

"Ferns, huh. Never woulda guessed. I woulda pegged you as more a succulent type o' gal." Texas thinks for a moment before choosing the bacon biscuit. "I don't get t' do much outside of my job, but I do enjoy a good card game now 'n' again. Shame I couldn't bring my deck. If we can find some cards up here, maybe I can teach y' a think or two. Wish they'd let me bring mine up... So what was that book you were lookin' at earlier?"

"Well, I know even less about flyin' spaceships than I do 'bout succulents. I imagine a book like that'll go right over my head, even if ya don't throw it that hard. Of everyone here, you've got the best chance o' succeedin' if we need to fly away. Of the others... I guess The Bulgarian's used to heavy machines, so maybe he could. Valerie's probably pretty smart, so she could prob'ly figure out that there book. Maybe John?" He scratches his head. "Anyway. Figure the best bet's just t' keep you alive, so guess from here on out I'll be focused on protectin' ya and let Mikoto handle flushin' out any other Borne members."

"You've been promoted from 'we should try to make sure no one dies' to 'if you die we all die," Texas says, pointing a piece of biscuit on a fork at you. "Congratulations."

"Hm. I dunno. I really like me some eggs," Texas says, thinking. "But I am curious whether a computer can make a good doughnut. Fine, fine." After the trade and him seeming very disappointed in the results, he continues. "Wonder if the others found anything interestin'. I'm gonna go check up an' make sure they didn't kill each oth-" he stops, frowning. "Make sure everyone's OK."
