K and J obviously one of them is a Rat and the other's clearly waiting for us, A B and C are a party for sure D or E prob round them out I'm feeling more familiarity from the Dwarf I really like G and I but, we're good on offensive magics. Which leaves me at F and H.... Fuzz consider Fuzz starts with F also there's no such thing as meaningless eye contact with a Drow, also mystery of book is better then mystery of some guy. I also just think F has the best thematic cohesion so yeah K, F, J

You try to remember anything you can about who you were with. You remember one had wings, and another had heavy armor. And you think one was an elf who didn't much care about proper clothes.
You look at the dwarf and the pixie. With their dart game settled, they've sat down over two mugs of early morning ale. The dwarf is draining his mug like it's water, while the pixie is leaning over into the mug. The dwarf lets out a laugh and helps her tip it back without spilling it. He starts laughing harder when she finishes a long chug - barely a few drops - and staggers backwards. Wings, heavy armor... No. Not them.
You turn your attention from them to the bird-winged woman sitting near the door. She's sitting sideways across her seat, lounging as she stares out the window and into the sky, ignoring the rest of the activity.
The fighter slaps down his cards. As the bard sighs, shrugs, and sets hers aside, he impassively scoops up his winnings for the round, including the flamboyant hat and boot. He lets out a snort as he slides a coin back into the pot. "You in for another round or are you gonna be smart?"
"Should quit while behind," the half-orc says, matching his bet.
"Ha. You wish. I can feel my luck about to turn around," the bard boasts as she antes up her other boot.
You look to the other elf, who glances up at you then looks away again. Her clothes are ragged, old, and full of holes. She looks like she's considering bolting for the door.
The druid, the fighter, and the ranger. Are these your companions...?
(A) Yes.
(B) On second thought... (lock in the ranger and reopen the voting for the other two)
And if they are, who to approach first...
(1) The fighter
(2) The druid
(3) The ranger

Druid, Fighter, and Ranger would be a great party, though... Why reopen the votes just to pick towel guy over the fighter? Cause that's all that would change. If towel guy isn't a melee combatant, this party is gonna get absolutely screwed.
I'm voting A cause I'm sensible. Rat waifu druid, winged waifu ranger, and grizzled fighter. A2 cause she looks like she's going to run.

Yes, you're sure the rag-dressed elf is one of your partners. She seems to have calmed down a bit, enough to return your gaze. For a moment. And then she looks away again, staring down at the table silently.
You suddenly aren't so sure about that fighter. You look over at him again, wondering if that was correct. Maybe? Or was there another that didn't care too much about clothes? The fighter and the bard stare at each other as the half-orc throws back his mug. The bard winks, and the fighter returns a small, solemn nod. That might be the right guy. Or not.
Maybe it was the one that was wearing the towel. You hear a step behind you and look up to see the man standing near the top of the stairs. He gives you a nod as he slips past. He seems to be dressed in nicer clothes than most of the adventurers around here, besides that garish bard. Not so fancy as a proper noble, but you'd mark him as on the level of some kind of merchant or maybe a member of a clergy, a lesser knight... something like that.
Meanwhile, the drow and gnome are still buried in their books, while the psion - you think he's a psion, anyway - continues to play with his puzzle as he focuses on his food. The dwarf cleric-or-paladin, who still seems completely fine, and the tipsy pixie monk have returned to their dart game.
But you're sure the ranger watching the sky and the shy druid are definitely with you. Probably.
Is this man the last member of your party...?
(A) Yes. (B) No. Lock in the highest vote (druid) and choose the third party member.

Yes, you're sure the fancy-pants ordering a plate of sausage is the last member of your little group. So. What to do now...
You decide it would be best to check on that high elf first, before she changes back into a rat and skitters off. You hop down the rest of the stairs and make your way over to her table. You lean against it and smile. "Good morning," you say.
She squeaks and jumps a bit. "Oh... H-h-hello." She nods.
You wait for her to say... anything else, really, but she remains silent and stares down at the table. You take the chance to take a closer look at her. Most elves always seem to look young, but she's starting to show the slightest signs of aging. Which means she's probably far, far older than you, but still liable to live long after you're dead and buried.
No... On second glance, you think despite her appearance she's probably much, much younger than she looks. Maybe even around your age, relatively. Her face is tanned and wrinkled in places, and her hair is matted and dirty. You have half a mind to grab her by the scruff of the neck, drag her upstairs, and throw her in the bath. But that wouldn't be nearly enough to deal with the wrinkles and sunburns, the dirt under the nails... And her clothes are worse than you thought. The outfit wasn't exactly trying to cover much to begin with - no sleeves, short-cut, and no back to the outfit at all - but they're barely holding together. Actually, you can spot a few places that they've completely torn and been patched by leaves and vines. It's a shame. That outfit was probably a really beautiful dress once. She's not really carrying much in the way of gear, either. A small knife, a vine rope wrapped around her waist a few times. A bundle of javelins sitting in the corner nearby look like they probably belong with her, too, based on their state of repair.
"So..." You hesitate for a moment before sliding into the seat next to her. "What's on the agenda for today?"
"Erm..." She pauses, then shrugs.
"Did... you... get enough breakfast?" you ask.
"Ye... P-plenty," she assures you. "I don't need much..."
You aren't convinced, but she doesn't seem to be on the verge of collapse or anything.
(A) Order breakfast (B) Order double breakfast (C) Tell her to go take advantage of the bath while we're here (D) Ask if she has any thoughts about the people here (E) Tell her to get ready to move out (F) Ask if she's learned anything interesting about the town (G) Ask how her equipment is (H) Move on to the bird-lady

C. The poor elf needs a bath. And better clothes. And probably more food... Jeez. But bath first.
