Intro: Hello There Stranger
A lone traveler walks into a tavern on a calm and peaceful evening. The traveler seems to be an adventurer of some sorts. They appear to be wearing a simple cloak along with a simple pair of shoes. A bag slinged over there back, a coin purse around there belt and a sword across there hip. The traveller is wearing a cloth hood and what looks like leather armor around there chest. Finally, the traveler casts there gaze around the room. They notice multiple guests across the room.
Some of the guests appear to be lizard like creatures with scales in multiple shapes and colors. Some appear to be tall bunny like woman. Another group appear to be small teddy bear like creatures that seem to say Kupo alot. A fourth group appear to be winged woman, some that appear to be human size, and some the size of your hand. A fifth group appear to be Pig like creatures you hear an awful lot of grunting coming from them. A group of what look like humanoid fish/ shark people are talking among themselves. The traveler then notices a group of humans some normal, some have pointy ears, and some appear to be short and stocky. There seems to be more group of people here but it's hard to make out amoung the sea of people.
Finally, the traveler makes it to the bar where a woman is seen behind there making drinks. The appears to be fairly young if you had to guess maybe early 20's. She seems to have wavy white hair just past her shoulders. The bar tender has a red ribbion going across her head which tie up on her head and look almost like a pair of Cat ears. She appears to be wearing a red shirt, and pink pants that stop right before her ankles. She has a pair of what look like designer fashion boots shes wearing. Finally she has a red belt going around her waist with what looks like a little cat tail sticking though one of the loops.
The traveler then sits down and waves down the bar tender. "Yeah yeah be right with you the," the woman replies. The woman turns around and notice the traveler. Her whole demeanor seems to change right in front of your eyes. "Hello there love, not often we get outsiders visiting this run down place," the woman says.
The woman then hands the traveler a menu and a glass of water. "So what brings you in this evening?". "Looking for a place to kick back and relax,". "Looking for some good drinks and some good grub?". "Just passing through?" the woman asked.
"Oh maybe your looking for some company perhaps,". "Plenty of single and eligible people here,". "Or perhaps you prefer someone a bit more mature, a woman who can handle herself," she says with a mischievous grin.
The traveler seems rather taken aback then the woman googles...giggles (stupid autocorrect. wait umm ignore this part.)
"Oh I jest of course you silly little stranger,". "Now then if your ready I can take your order," the woman says to the traveler. The traveler places the order with the woman who proceeds to write your order.
"Okay got it wait one moment and I will place your order,". "Hey Cid we got another order for you," the woman appears to call out to the back.
"On it Adelle,". "Just hope your not harassing the guests out there,". "Sigh can't believe you talked me into opening a tavern," Cid sighs.
Adelle turns around and faces the traveler. "Oh I guess the cat is out of the bag now,"."Name is Adelle, Adelle the Cat,". "Use to be a famous treasure hunter you know," Adelle says with a grin.
"You mean thief," Cid calls out from the back.
"Hissssss quiet you," Adelle hisses.
"Anyways wanna hear something interesting,". "Let me tell you a story from long ago,". "Oh don't worry we have all night,". "Besides maybe by the end of the story you might learn something interesting, maybe something to help you on your quest,". "It's a tale from long ago,". "A once famous town, that has recently fell into ruin,". "Now then ready there stranger," Adelle says as she begins to speak

Okay then in order to understand the history of the land is to understand the history of the crystals. I know what your thinking what do gems have to do with the history of the world. The Crystals aren't just some ordinary gem stones. The crystals are the very life blood of the universe. The air we breathe, the flames we use to warm ourselves, the water we drink, all of them blessings of the the crystals.
Long ago the world was in danger. A dark entity corrupted the dark crystal along with the guardian in charge of the dark crystal. Along with the corruption of the dark guardian a legion of individuals who called themselves the dark lords. They placed the world in great danger and were on the verge of leading the world to ruin.
Fortunately, the crystals had an answer in the form of the warriors of the light. The warriors of light, special individuals blessed by the crystals. The warriors of light were chosen by the crystals to stand against the forces of the dark lord and dark entity. After a long and arduous battle the warriors of lights were able to defeat the dark lords, free the dark guardian, and defeat the evil dark deity Mark.
Unfortunately, the previous guardians of the crystals had to give there power to the warriors of light. The Warriors of light were able to use the power to defeat Mark. Yet, the guardians exhausted there power and passed away after the battle.
The warriors of light and there descendents we were tasked with looking after the crystals. For 100s of years the descendants of the warriors of light were around to keep watch over the crystals. Then one day a stranger wondered into town. The stranger was without name, memory, or any idea who they were. The only thing the stranger can remember was that he was lonely.

The stranger at first took on small jobs here and there to try to get a feel for the the town and land. After his jobs were done he would spend what little money he had at a local inn where he stayed. He also frequented the local Tavern hopefully for a chance to meet new people.
At first people seemed weary of him. Here was some random stranger that just shows up to there town. The way he walked and the way he looked had people suspicious of him at first. As time went on the people of the town began to grow less weary of him. Eventually, one person walked up to him and it all started with one word. "Hi," a young boy said to the stranger.
"Hello," the stranger replied.
"What brings you here fellow?" the young boy asked.
"Don't know," the stranger replies. The stranger takes a big sip of the drink next to him. The Young boy seems to be staring at the stranger not with suspicion but curiosity.
"Okay Mr. I hope you find what your looking for," the young boy said to the stranger.
"Thanks,". "Me to," The stranger replied.
"By the way Mr. do you have a name?" the young boy asks.
"I know I had one,". "But alas I can't seem to remember,". "Tell you what, once I remember my name you will be the first to know," the stranger replied.
"Okay sir thank you the young boy replied,". "Oh I thought a nickname for now," the young boy said to the stranger.
"Oh and what would that be," the stranger said.
"How does the name Mr. X sound?" the young boy asked.
"Hmm X like X marks the spot on a treasure hunt?" The stranger replies.
"Yeah something like that since your on a journey to find your own treasure," the young boy said.
"Oh Mr. X it does have a nice ring to it,". "Thanks," Mr. X said to the young boy.
"Oh my name is David," David replies before leaving the tavern.
"Hmm Mr. X it does have a nice ring to it," Mr. X says as he kicks back and leans in his chair.

Mr. X with each passing day began to get a little more comfortable with his surroundings. The towns folks that were once suspicious and afraid of him started waving high to him. The towns folks that would go out of there way to avoid him started becoming his friend. Mr. X would enjoy his time in the unfamiliar town for quite some time.
Yet unfortunately, for Mr. X as the light inside of him began to grow. A tiny bit of darkness began to take hold. At first it was minor stuff that Mr. X noticed. Mr. X certainly wouldn't make such a big deal about it just a sort of nagging feeling. Mr. X has finally found a place where he belonged. They were even some pushing for him to take over as a leader of the town. Since Mr. X shown a high proficiency in combat and was very friendly people started to gravitate towards him.
Unfortunately, a sort of doubt also started creeping into his thought. Mr. X was unsure why these thoughts were creeping into his head. He tried his best to put on a brave face in front of everyone. Mr. X tried to keep those dark thoughts at bay. What he has was something he didn't want to give up, he finally had friends, place to belong, people that cared about him.
Mr. X began to fear the darkenss inside of him. He had the strangest feeling that the darkenss was familiar to him somehow. Yet every time he began to think on way it was familiar he would get a massive headache. One day Mr. X would visit one of the local churches and spoke with one of the priest. He explained what was going on to one of the priest in private.
The priest agreed to help Mr. X in private and came up with a way to help seal the darkenss. One day the priest and a group of other priest brought Mr. X to the back of the church in private. They have found a ritual that could help seal the darkness inside of him. They placed Mr. X under a trance and he fell asleep. They began the ritual to seal the darkness but right before they began they noticed something odd.
Upon closer inspection of Mr. X they noticed a seal mark on his back. It looks like someone or something already tried to seal the darkness inside of him. They looked amongst themselves confused as to what to do for a couple of reasons. First the seal looked pretty sophisticated and complex. Second the fact that the darkenss was able to seep through such a strong seal. They were unsure what they could really do without compromising the original seal or causing the darkness to break out.
Eventually, they came to the decision to add a couple of outside layers around the original seal. They hoped to reinforce the original seal instead of compromising or damaging the original. They were uncertain what would happen after the ritual. After the ritual was complete they went through the process of waking up Mr. X.
When Mr.X was fully awake, the head priest spoke with him. They told him that a seal was already in place on him. A pretty complex sophisticated seal was in place and that the darkness managed to break thought that. The head priest told Mr. X they added additional layers to hopefully help but that's all they could do. The Head Priest said he wanted Mr X to take it easy for a while and to check in with him once a month.
Mr. X agreed and as he was heading back to his apartment he felt really light headed. The head priest telling Mr. X about the seal and the darkness seemed to trigger something inside Mr. X. The next he knows is that he felt extremely light headed and his vision began to fade. Mr. X couldn't even hear out the young lady calling his name as he collapsed on the street.

"Ha ha ha ha,". "You think you won,". "Too bad, that cursed mortal blood is tainting you,". "If only you were a full god,". "Then maybe you could have provided a worthy challenge,". "I grow bored of this encounter,". "Time for to disappear," A dark shadowy figures tells a lone fighter.
"Wake up,". "Please open your eyes,". "Please just wake up," a female voice calls out.
Mr.X slowly opens his eyes and sees a female looking at him.
"Oh thank goodness your awake,". "I thought for sure you were a goner,". "Thankfully, it seems like it was just mere exhaustion,". "All you needed was some rest and a little bit of healing magic," the young lady tells Mr. X
"Where am I?" Mr. X asks.
"Your in my house,". "When I saw you collapse, I panicked,". "Didn't realize how heavy you were at first,". "Thankfully I know a spell or two," the young lady replies.
"But but why?" Mr. X asks.
"Why not?". "You were a person who needed help,". "Besides I wasn't just going to leave you lying in the street,". "Now then you hungry was just about to cook up a little breakfast," the young lady asked
"Oh yeah sure," Mr. X replied still half asleep.
"Okay I will be right back," the young lady.
"Sorry I didn't ask but what is your name Ms.," Mr. X asked.
"Oh don't worry you were still quite out of it,". "My name is Claire,". "Claire Lightfoot,". "Okay see you in a couple,". Claire says as she takes off down the stair.
Mr. X sits up to get a look at Claire as she heads down stairs. She seems to have long blonde hair she has braided going down to her back. Claire seems above average height and she was wearing a green shirt and a green skin. Claire also had fairly light skin. The one thing that stood out about Claire was her long pointy ears.
"Oh so she's an elf,". "Would explain how she was able to lift me,". "What a strange woman,". "But what was that dream about?". "Best not to think about it for now" Mr. X said.

Mr. X began to make his way downstairs where he saw Claire cooking.
The house wasn't anything out of the ordinary. It appeared to be a simple two story log cabin. The usual rooms you would expect a house to have. The log cabin had some simple curtains, a simple rug, a sofa, and a nice soft comfy bed. Also the house was located in the middle of the woods.
"Wait what we are in the middle of the woods?" Mr. X asked out loud.
"Well yeah?". "It allows me to be close to nature and all my cute little animal friends,". "You probably already noticed I am a full elf,". "I like being here it allows me to feel at home in nature," Claire says to Mr. X.
"But how were you able to carry me from the city?" Mr. X asked dumb founded.
"Oh that,". "Like I said nothing a little magic couldn't handle,". "Okay and I might have had a little help from my friends," Claire says as a couple of bears poked there heads into the window.
"Wait Bears?" Mr. X asked amazed.
"Well I was thinking of using a little size magic,". "But well I noticed a strange glow on your back,". "When I went to take a peak, at your back I saw a weird multi layered seal on it,". "So I thought using magic at the time would interfere with the seal,". "So I just called these bears over here to take you back home," Claire says to Mr. X.
"You asked the bears,". "Wait you saw what?". "You talk to animals?". "What?'" Mr.X asked.
"Come now take a seat,". "Lets start from the beginning,". "I can communicate with animals in a sense,". "It's a special kind of power I possess,". "Had it since I was a kid,". "From what I remember it was a special ability our clan had,". "We had the ability to communicate with nature,". "Animals, plants, you name it," Claire says to Mr. X.
"Wait so all alone now,". "I am so sorry to hear that,". "My cond," Mr. X was cut off by Claire.
"Oh it's nothing like that,". "When I was older I just asked my parents for permission to leave and explore the city,". "They were perfectly on board with it,". "Thought it would be a good learning experience,". "Yeah my clan and parents are perfectly fine,". "In fact it's something most of us do,". "I am not the first to leave," Claire says to Mr. X.
"Oh okay,". "But you saw that,". "Um aren't you scared of what you saw though," Mr. X asked.
"Should I be scared?" Claire asked.
"I don't know,". "I don't really remember much,". "I recently remembered something but I am not really sure what the seal is or what it could mean,". "I just know it has something to do with a powerful darkness," Mr. X replies.
"Oh so that's it,". "Well then what is little ol me supposed to do?". "I guess the normal thing to do would be try to get as far away from you as possible," Claire says to Mr. X.
"Yeah I understand,". "I will take my leave right away,". "Thanks for the," Mr X went to tell Claire.
"Why would you leave?". "Also who said I was scared,". "I was trying to say the normal thing would be to try to get away,". "But I am more curious and there's just something about you,". "Your more then welcome to stay,". "I do have a spare room your more then free to use,". "Besides from what I saw the towns people like you,". "They are usual good judge of character," Claire says to Mr. X.
"But what if it turns out I am some type of demon or someone evil," Mr. X says to Claire.
"Well that's something we will take care of together,". "Unless you prefer to be alone,". "Not trying to force anything on you or anything," Claire replied to Mr.X
"Your one strange lady," Mr. X says to Claire.
"Takes a strange person to know one," Claire replied.
"True true,". "I should probably tell you my name then," Mr. X tells Claire.
"What here I thought Mr. X was your name," Claire playfully teased Mr. X.
"I wish would make things easier,". "Turns out during that massive headache I remembered my name,". "My name is Ferdinand Kirby," Ferdinand Kirby replies.
"So Fernie," Claire said.
"Fernie?" Ferdinand says in shock.
"Oh there are so many wonderful nicknames, I can think of,". "Thanks for telling me your name Ferndog,". "Oh Fernasaurus," Claire said with much laughter.
Ferdinand just facepalms and shakes his head.
"What did I get myself into?" Ferdinand sighs.

During the past couple of months Ferdinand and Claire would start to develop a friendship. Claire was very helpful and supportive of Ferdinand. Ferdinand grew fond of Claire's company and her happy go lucky ways. The two were friendly with one another and they shared some good times together.
Ferdinand was hesitant to tell Claire how he felt about her at first. It was tough for Ferdinand to tell Clarie now he felt when he was dealing with his memory slowly returning. Also the fact that a seal placed on him and the darkness contained could be a threat to her. The other thing Ferdinand noticed was that he had numerous scars across his body. Ferdinand began to remember all the battles he was a part of.
Claire for her part continued to support Ferdinand through everything he has been through. She would listen to him with whatever concerned him. Claire also was extra careful to not talk about the darkness unless it was with Ferdinand or the priest. When Ferdinand was feeling weak from a memory resurfacing, Claire was there to help him through it. Claire was beginning to develop deeper feelings for Ferdinand. Yet Claire was unsure if she should say anything to Ferdinand with everything he was going through.
One day out of the blue Ferdinand was feeling particularly flushed like he was hit by a truck.
"Ferdinand, is everything okay?" Claire asked.
Ferdinand just stared at her, his face blank as a ghost. "I remember,". "I remember everything now," Ferdinand told Claire, clutching his head.
Claire clutched his hands and held them tight. She began to chant some words as a soothing arua spread around her and Ferdinand. Ferdinand began to feel a little better and he had some color return to his face.
"Claire," Ferdinand gasped out.
"Shh, tell me when you're ready," Claire responded.
"Okay but it's a lot," Ferdinand told Claire.
"I don't care,". "Tell me after you get proper rest,". "We can talk when you feel better,". "But for now I want you to rest so that your mind has a chance to settle," Claire ordered Ferdinand.
"Claire, okay,". "Should I even tell you,". "What if it ruins what we have?" Ferdinand asked.
"You fool, I don't care what you have to say,". "Please just get your strength,". "Then me and you can have a serious talk about everything,". "I am going to leave to give you some time to sort things out,". "Don't even try to sneak out,". "My animal friends will find you," Claire told Ferdinand.
"Okay, Claire,". "Umm one thing before you leave,". "Can you take my hand again," Ferdinand asked Claire.
"Of course silly but," Claire took Ferdinand's hand. Ferdinand then pulled Claire towards him and started to kiss her. Claire was surprised at first but returned the kiss to Ferdinand. It seemed like time stood still for those brief moments as the two just sat there in one anothers embrace. Finally, Claire pulled away from Ferdinand as he began to grow sleepy.
"Ferdinand, get some sleep,". "Before this goes any further,". "I would like to hear your story,". "I would like to get to know the real Ferdinand,". "Do we have a deal?" Claire asked.
"Yes I promise to tell you everything,". "If I want to start a life with you,". "You deserve to know Claire," Ferdinand promised Claire.
"Okay Fernie get some sleep,". "Call me if you need anything," Claire told Ferdinand.
"I am never going to get use to these nicknames," Ferdinand sighed.
"Night my sweet sweet Fernie," Claire said to Ferdinand before leaving the room.
"Night Claire" Ferdinand replied before drifting off to sleep.

A week passed with Ferdinand alternating between feeling fine and feeling exhausted. Ferdinand’s recovering memories was one issue, his growing feelings for Claire, the Darkness sealed inside of him combined to weigh heavily on Ferdinand’s mind. Claire would come to check on Ferdinand and give him food and water when needed. Claire wanted to do something more for him. Yet she realized this was something he had to sort out.
One quiet evening Claire was sitting on the sofa, windows opened, wolf on lap while she was reading a book. Ferdinand came down stairs feeling relatively well compared to what he’s been feeling. He slowly made his way towards Claire. The wolf raised his head to look at Ferdinand but then placed it back down. Ferdinand grabbed a glass from the kitchen and poured himself a drink. He asked if Claire needed a drink and Claire politely declined. Ferdinand sat next to Claire on the other side of the sofa.
“Hey Fernie,”. “How are you feeling?”. “Are you sure you feel ready to talk?” Claire asked Ferdinand.
Ferdinand slowly nodded his head and reached for his drink and took a nice long sip. “I’m ready to talk now,” Ferdinand said softly.
Claire placed the book down and looked towards Ferdinand.
“First off I am very old,”. “I don’t mean just 50’s 60’s,”. “I am over 250 years old,”. “My dad was a simple traveler named John Kriby,”. “My mom is the goddess Minivera,”. Ferdinand told Claire.
Claire looked slightly surprised to hear that from Ferdinand. “Wait, so are you immortal or a god?” Claire asked.
“I am not immortal, I just age much slower than most humans ,”. “I am not a god necessarily,”. “I do have some god-like powers,”. “One of them has to deal with the seal on my back,” Ferdinand told Claire.
“What about the seal?” Claire asked.
“The initial seal on my back was placed on there by me,”. “The darkness is actually the soul of a powerful demon,”. “This demon was once my mom’s right hand angle,”. “The demon went by the name Gabriell, and was deeply in love with the goddess Minivera,”. “After his fall and his turn towards the darkness,”. “He adopted a new name, he went by the name Damien,” Ferdinand told Claire.
“Wait so the darkness is really?” Claire asked Ferdinand, slightly concerned.
“Yes he was a formidable foe and the only way to truly subdue him,”. “I had to use a forbidden technique that sealed his soul inside of my body,”. “Damien’s body turned into stone without his soul,”. “Despite the body not having a soul,”. “The statue of Damien still contains immense dark power,”. Ferdinand told Claire.
“Wait so how are you able to contain his soul without being overcome?” Claire asked.
“The seal is fueled by the power of my mom Minivera,”. “Yet it requires me to have complete control of my emotions,”. “My emotions, in particular strong negative emotions, weaken the seal,”. “The priest more or less placed a band aid to help contain little leaks that come here and there,” Ferdinand says to Claire.
“Oh wow you poor guy,”. “You've been through so much,”. “So strong negative emotions can create essentially the end of the world,”. “Wait what caused you to lose your memories though?” Claire asked Ferdinand.
“What happened was that I nearly lost control?”. “I nearly….,”. “Claire there’s more I have to tell you,”. “But I need to take a moment to catch my breath,” Ferdinand told Claire.
“Okay we can do that,”. “Thank you for trusting me,” “This past week was rough for me,”. “I wanted to help you but I was unsure what to do,”. “But now I am glad that you were able to tell me,” Claire told Ferdinand. Clair moved to be close to Ferdinand; she wanted to tell him how much she loved him.
Ferdinand had a look of guilt on his face about what happened. Ferdinand had fallen in love with Claire. Unfortunately, another memory of his resurfaced, a memory of his past life.
“Claire I love you,” Ferdinand confessed to Claire.
Claire’s face lit up and she had a giant smile on her face. Before Claire could tell Ferdinand how she felt. Ferdinand knew he had to tell Claire it wouldn’t be right to hide this from her.
“Claire I was married before her name was Cindy,”. “I also have twin daughters their names are Katie and Charlotte,”. “I am not even sure if my wife is still alive,”. “My daughters have the blood of the goddess coursing through them,”. “So they are like me and age slowly,”. “In fact they are the reason I lost my memory,” Ferdinand told Claire.

Claire was left speechless at what she heard from Ferdinand. Claire was unsure what to say or how to respond. Claire could just stare at Ferdinand. When Claire tried to talk, nothing would come out. Claire just hugged Ferdinand and grasped him tight.
“Do you want me to stop?” Ferdinand asked Claire.
“No, it’s fine,”. “If me and you are going to work,”. “It’s something I need to hear,”. “I will admit it is a little bit to take in at once,”. “I just hope you don’t mistake my silence for fear or disgust,” Claire reaffirmed Ferdinand.
“Claire…,” Ferdinand said very softly to Claire.
“Come now Fernie,”. “You still have the rest of the story to tell me,”. “You don’t get to get off that easily,”. “Let’s see now,”. “Oh do you remember anything about your parents?” Claire asked.
“Fernie, how did you ever think of that nickname?” Ferdinand asked.
“Oh that I think it sounds cute,” Claire replied non chanataly.
Ferdinand just stares at Claire confused as to what she meant.
“Do I have to spell it out?”. “To think you used to be married,”. “Yet your still completely oblivious to when someone is in love,” Claire playfully teased Ferdinand.
“Wait so you also,” Ferdinand asked dumbfounded.
“What do you think about,”. ``Did you think that you being married once before would scare me off?”. “You thought that housing the soul of a powerful demon would frighten me off,”. “Or the fact that your old man would make a difference?” Claire asked.
“Umm,” Ferdinand choked out.
Claire pulled Ferdinand into her embrace and the two started kissing. The moment was only a couple of minutes at most. Claire and Ferdinand that moment felt like it lasted a lifetime. Claire pulled away and stared lovingly at Ferdinand.
“Does that answer your question?” Claire asked Ferdinand.
Ferdinand returned the stare towards Claire and nodded yes.
“Now then where was I?” Ferdniand asked.
“Your parents, how does the Goddess Minivera meet with a simple human?” Claire asked
“Oh right now then,” Ferdinand began to speak about his past again.

"Well the story is kinda of long, and it would take a lot of time to tell,". "I will tell you the full story one day,". "But for now here is the shortened version," Ferdinand told Claire.
"My mom is the goddess Minivera,". "She grew curious of the mortals that worship and follow her so she decide to live amoungst them,". "Her head angel and right hand Gabrielle expressed concern,". "But new he couldn't change her mind so agreed to look over everything,". "My mom didn't realize that Gabrielle had feelings for her,". "To be fair he never gave any indication,". "So my mom left one day to live amoungst the people," Ferdinand said to Claire.
Time:300 years ago
Minivera was still fairly powerful despite sealing a majority of her powers. She felt that sealing her powers would help her avoid detection and to hide her presence. Despite all that she still found herself lost in one of the woods nearby. Minivera would wonder what would seem like days lost in the woods. She was much to prideful to ask a mortal for help she figured she would just find her way out. Minivera in her mortal form began to feel faint and weak due to exhaustion. She was near ready to collapse when a kind traveler approached her.
The traveler's name was John and he was just wandering throughout the woods. He grew up just outside the woods and knew every inch of them. It was just by a twist of fate that John just happened to chance upon Minivera. John with no hesitation offered Minivera some water he had on him, also he had a couple of apples on him. Minivera was weary to trust this traveler, who knew what he had planned. John assured her that he had no ulterior motives. Minivera was still slow to accept help not just because of her suspicion but because of her pride and stubbornness.
"I rather starve then accept help from someone like you," Minivera said stubbornly. Minivera mumbled the word mortal underneath her breath
"Well you see mam I just can't do that,". "Either you can follow me out the woods,". "Or I can carry you out of the woods your choice," John said to Minivera.
"Hmph you better keep your dirty hands off of me,". "Besides I don't need any help,". "I know what I am doing," Minivera said still refusing to follow John.
"Welp Ms. you leave me no choice,". "I apologize in advance," John says as he scoops up Minivera. Minivera was taken by surprise as John just slings her across his shoulder.
"Hey, hey, hey, put me down you brute,". "Oh I never,". "This isn't how you treat a god...good lady like me," Minivera cried out in protest.
"Sorry Ms. no can do,". "I much rather you be mad at me but alive,". "Then give into your selfish demands and dead,". "Sorry Ms. but I couldn't live with myself if something were to happen to you," John replied calmly.
"But why go out of your way to help a complete stranger,". "For all you know I can be a thief ready to back stab this very instance,". "This could be some deceptive magic made to lower your guard," Minivera replied.
"Well if your a thief I don't have much to steal,". "Don't know what you have to gain from trying to deceive me,". "Just a simple traveler who goes where the wind takes me,". "Don't own much, makes it easier to just pick up and leave whenever I want to go on adventure,". "Whenever I need some cash, just take a quest or two then just go from there," John replied very calmly.
"Wait so you feel perfectly, just helping a stranger out of the blue?" Minivera asked him.
"Yeah why shouldn't I be,". "I much rather help someone in need even if I am getting fooled,". "Then not do anything and watch someone suffer,". "Just not who I am Ms.," John said casually.
"Vera,". "My name is Vera, and umm thanks,". "I been lost in these woods for about a week it feels like," Vera said.
"Well then Vera my name is John and glad I could help," John says to Vera.
Vera eventually felt comfortable enough to walk the rest of the path. John gently placed Vera on the ground. Vera would brush herself off and continue to walk alongside John. Eventually, the exit to the woods came into sight and before long John and Vera were out of the woods.
"Well Vera, here we are,". "All you have to do is follow this road and it should lead you to town,". "Need money for an inn or something?" John asked Vera.
"Umm no thanks I umm have a place close to town where I can stay," Vera says to John.
"Welp good to hear Ms. Vera,". "If you don't need anything else I will be on my way,". "Good luck in your future adventures and try to avoid the woods for now," John said to Vera.
"Umm John,". "Before you leave I do have one thing I would like from you," Vera said to John.
"And that would be," John replied.
"I wish to see you again John," Vera said.
"Oh is that all,". "No problem at all,". "Truth be told I wouldn't mind seeing you again either," John said to Vera.
"Could you meet me in town tomorrow?". "Sometime during the day,". "I will be waiting for you in the town center,". "Right by the fountain," Vera says to John.
"Town center, during the day, fountain,". "Got it well Ms. Vera see you tomorrow then,". "Need me to walk you home or anything?" John asked Vera.
"Oh no I should be fine,". "Oh I do have one more thing to give you," Vera said to John. Vera gave John a quick kiss on the cheek.
"Remember tomorrow," Vera said to John before walking down the road.
"Don't worry Ms. Vera I certainly wouldn't forget,". "I wonder how Coco is doing,". "I was gone for a while,". "And she's just a little chick still," John says heading back to his camp.
John and Vera thought they shared a private moment. Yet there was one person who saw what took place. Gabrielle looked from above and saw what happened. A small ping of jealousy pinged across him but he was quick to brush it aside for now. Yet, that tiny seed of Darkness was planted inside of Gabrielle that fateful evening.

John and Vera over the coming months would meet in town reagurly. At first the two would meet and just have simple conversations. The conversations were simple at first just getting a chance to know one another. John Kirby told Vera about all of the different places he has been. John would talk about all the sights and sounds and just various notes he took of each different location. Vera would talk about her own experiences and everything she seen, well almost everything. Vera kept the fact that she was a goddess hidden for the time being.
One day John brought along a guest when he went to meet Vera. Coco a baby White, Chocobo John found abandoned in the woods one day. Coco took one look at Vera before flying to her and nuzzling her.
"Wow you must be quite the person,". "Coco is very hesitant around strangers,". "In fact took me quite some time before she warmed up to me," John says to Vera.
"Chocobo," Coco called out.
"It's a gift I have," Vera said.
Meanwhile Gabrielle was watching what was happening. He was trying his best to hold his jealousy. Yet the more he watch and the closer they, the more he would feel the jealousy nagging in the back of his mind. The tiny seed of Darkness was still growing little by little. Gabrielle thought that he was hiding his jealousy from the others well. Yet it didn't escape someone's eyes, this opportunists was lurking in the shadows keeping a close eye on Gabrielle.
"So the seed is starting to sprout,". "Good good,". "It's almost time but not yet,". "Soon very soon he will be ready," a clocked figure said.

One day John was on his way to meeting Vera, yet it was different the the usual meet ups. They been getting a chance to know each other for the past year and he's started to notice that he's been developing feelings for her. They kissed before sure but it was always a friendly kiss on the cheek. John was nervous, he wasn't very sure about these types of things. Coco picked up on John's nervous and nuzzled him.
"Your right girl,". "I just have to give it a shot,". "I just hope I don't fumble it," John said to Coco.
"Wark Wark, Chocobo," Coco replied.
"Your right girl," John replied.
Vera was waiting at the usual spot in front of the fountain. Vera was trying to figure out what exactly she was feeling. Vera knows what love is, she's been around for a very long time.
"How is this even possible?". "I am a goddess,". "How could I be falling for a mortal?". "God's, people far more wealthier, Nobels, have all tried to court me,". "But this mortal, what is it about him?" Vera thought.
"It's just every time we are together,". "It just feels right,". "He doesn't see me as some sort of prize,". "He doesn't see me as a way to further his goals or status,". "He doesn't even know I am a goddess,". "From the moment we met he went out of his way to help me,". "But a goddess and a mortal is it even possible?". "Well if it's meant to be,". "Then I am more then willing to try it with John," Vera thinks to herself
Vera notices John and Vera off in the distance coming towards her. Coco took off and flew towards Vera and landed on her shoulder. John slowly made his way towards Vera. He seemed to be fumbling a small package in his hands.
"Good morning Ms. Vera, umm lovely weather," John awkwardly says to Vera.
"Yes lovely weather indeed," Vera replied awkwardly in return.
"You look pretty today,". "I mean of course your pretty,". "Your pretty everyday just not today,". "But that doesn't matter,". "Unless it does," John said to Vera. John was starting to sweat and his face was red.
Vera couldn't help but smile and reached for John's hand.
"That's nice,". "But let's start from the beginning,". "Just tell me how you fell about me, about us," Vera says to John in a sweet and gentle tone.
"I love you Ms. Vera,". "I want to spend the rest of my days with you,". "I want to travel the world with you,". "I want you by my side,". "I understand if you don't," John says to Vera.
Vera just gently placed a kiss on John's lip.
"Yes, I do," Vera told John.
John was so happy to hear Vera's response. John took out the tiny box in his pocket. John took out the ring, and placed it on Vera's ring finger. The ring was a golden ring with a ruby gemstone on the top.
"Thank you Vera,". "I may not have much to offer,". "But I promise to make you the happiest lady ever," John says to Vera.
"I know you'll make me happy,". "I also want to see where our journey takes us,". "I am more then willing to take that journey with you," Vera said to John.
"So shall we begin?" Vera asked John.
"Of course lead the way Vera," John replied to Vera.
Coco was so excited for John and Vera and began to fly around John and Vera. John and Vera hand in hand left the town and made there way towards her place. Vera needed to grab some things and make sure everything is in order. Vera and John were about to start to a long journey together and she doesn't know when they would return.
Meanwhile, Gabrielle was feeling very conflicted about what he saw. Gabrielle was of course happy for Minivera and was happy for her. Gabrielle was also feeling hurt that she would chose a mortal to finally confess her feelings.
The seed of darkness inside of Gabrielle has begun to sprout.
"Oh ho ho now is my chance," the cloaked figured mused to himself

As time passes Vera and John became even closer. The two were wedded in a small ceremony ironically enough in front of a Minivera statue. The two would then travel the world seeing everything there was to see.
One day Vera would tell John great news. Vera was pregnant and that they were going to be parents. John couldn't be happier at the news and was excited to be a dad. Coco was large enough now to carry people and would allow Vera to ride on her when she needed to rest. Vera was thankful to Coco being a White Chocobo was helpful since she was skilled in the healing and soothing arts.
While John and Vera stopped in one of the towns to rest and resupply. It was the day that would change there lives. A healthy, beautiful, baby boy was delivered that evening. Vera was exhausted but was otherwise fine. John wrapped the baby in some blankets and gave him to Vera. Coco went over to the new baby boy and nuzzled him.
"Aww wanted to see your baby brother," Vera said pretty weakly.
Coco replied with a happy Chocobo and started Walking happily in responded.
"So have you thought of a name yet?" Vera asked John.
"Not a clue," John replied.
"Well what about Ferdinand," Vera suggested.
The baby boy seemed to smile when he heard the name Ferdinand.
"Well looks like we got our answer,". "Welcome to the world Ferdinand Kirby," John told his son. John then held his baby boy tight as Vera began to sleep.
Gabrielle at this point decided to take a break from his duties. He needed time to clear his head and figure out what to do. Gabrielle decided to take a nice long walk in the mortal realm. It worked in the past just a simple stroll was enough to clear his head. Gabrielle would keep his presence cloaked so normal humans couldn't see or sense him. He decided he needed to go someplace far away from Minivera.
While walking along the moon light roads, a figure approached Gabrielle. This figured appeared to be dressed as a common jester. One of those types that travel from town to town that would tell stories and make people laugh for gold. Gabrielle thought nothing of it until the jester spoke.
"My my what a lovely evening for a stroll wouldn't you say good sir?" the jester asked Gabrielle.
Gabrielle was a little stunned to hear the jester speak. There should be no way a on jester should be able to see him. Gabrielle thought maybe someone else was on the road and was about to walk away.
"Now there kind sir why are you leaving?". "I don't see anybody else bute and you sir angel,". "Well then you can leave if you want,". "I was just hoping to have a pleasant conversation," the jester said to Gabrielle.
Gabrielle turned around and drew his sword. He made a bee line towards the Jester and held his blade towards him. "Who exactly are you?". "I would be mindful of your response,". "I will not hesitate to strike you down," Gabrielle told the Jester.
The jester had a giant smile on his and almost seem to laugh at Gabrielle's threat.
"You think this is some game clown?". "You shouldn't be able to see me,". "Normal people aren't suppose to know that I am around,". "So speak now or perish," Gabrielle demanded of the jester.
The jester stopped giggling and held up his hands. "Now now then kind sir?". "I am just a simple jester,". "A pleaser of crowds, bringer of smiles to the masses,". "A granter of wishes,". "Nothing but a simple jester," the jester told Gabrielle.
"As for how can I sense you?". "Well my friend you seemed awfully troubled by something,". "As a performer I can sense when there's tension in the air,". "Oh and I might have special in my own right,". "But alas that is all to me,". "Sorry to disappoint you my dear friend," the Jester replies to Gabrielle.
"Is that so?". "Just know I don't trust you clown,". "Make one false move and I will slice that head clean off," Gabrielle threatened the jester.
"Why of course my dear dear friend,". "I would never dream of doing such a thing,". "For if I have no head then how can I please the masses,". "Now then that would be a true tragedy,". "Well it looks like your not in a talking mood,". "Perhaps I will be on my way," the Jester says.
Gabrielle sheathed his sword because he believed the jester wasn't a threat.
"Fine whatever off with you," Gabrielle says to the Jester.
"Okay then Mr. Angel I shall take my leave for now,". "But if you ever need someone to talk to,". "Here take my card,". "It will bring me to wherever I am," the Jester says taking out a Joker playing card to present to Gabrielle.
"Why would I ever need to talk to a foolish jester?" Gabrielle asked.
"Because this foolish jester is a granter of dreams,". "I wasn't lying my dear friend when I said I was a granter of dreams,". "Or that I was special,". "Unless the fact that I able to see you right now,". "Despite others can't see you," the Jester replies.
"Yeah right granter of dreams,". "I guess if I ever need to laugh to lighten my spirits,". "Maybe your not completely useless,". "Fine then Mr.," Gabrielle says to the Jester.
"Oh I guess you need a name,". "Well then you can call me Julius,". "Julius the Jester,". "Thank you Mr. Angel sir I am sure that you wouldn't regret taking this card," Julius tells Gabrielle.
"Fine whatever Julius, I will take your stupid card," Gabrielle says to Julius taking the Joker card.
"Thank you thank you my dear Angel friend,". "I am sure you will not regret your decision,". "Well then I will be on my merry little way," Julius says walking away from Gabrielle.
Gabrielle takes a couple of moments to stare at the card and he just huffs. Gabrielle then decided to head back to the realm of the gods. Meanwhile, Julius was waiting for Gabrielle to leave.
"Good good everything is going to plan,". "Little does my foolish angel friend,". "I mean that foolish Gabrielle know that the card will continue to push the darkness inside his heart,". "The opening act has begun,". "As long as he posses that card the darkness will continue to grow,". "Whether he wants it to or not,". "Gabrielle will make a most capable supporting actor,". "It's almost time for the Ultimate show to begin,". "Then my reign over heaven and earth can begin,". "Soon soon the stage of the world and the heavens will belong to me," Julius laughs as he then disappears into the shadows.

Vera, John, and Ferdinand were a very happy family. The three of them would continue to travel the world helping those in need. Vera would eventually, tell John that she was the goddess Minivera. John took the news about Vera being the goddess Minivera. John always had a inkling that there was something special about Vera he just couldn't but his fingers on it.
Vera of course had to check in with her realm every now and then. Mainly, just see that everything was still in tact and that everyone was okay. Gabrielle would be cordial and respectful whenever she visited. Gabrielle of course wouldn't mention his run in with Julius or his jealousy of John.
Vera, John, and Ferdinand were perfectly content with everything. Unfortunately, even a goddess can't stem the flow of time. Time effected her differently, and Vera noticed that Ferdinand aged slowly to. Vera was pleased to see Ferdinand at least age slowly.
Vera watched as her son grew into a man and eventually start his own family. Ferdinand would meet a charming young lady named Cindy while he was out travelling one day. Cindy was a bartender at one of the cities Ferdinand would frequent. Cindy was a tall, tan skinned, lady, who also had Rabbit like ears. Cindy was a Rabbit Verian who left the forest to experience life in the city. Cindy found the best way to interact with people was as a bartender.
Ferdinand was drawn to Cindy he wasn't sure why. So the two would have friendly conversations when they met. Eventually, Ferdinand would work up the courage to ask her out on a date. Cindy after a couple moments of silence said yes to Ferdinand. Ferdinand would eventually, introduce Cindy to his mom Vera of course keeping Vera's secret. Vera upon meeting Cindy fell in love with her and was happy for Cindy and Ferdinand.
Unfortunately for Vera and Ferdinand, John was only a mortal and the years were starting to wear on him. John was starting to get older and the traveling he loved to do became harder and harder to do. John and Vera would eventually, build a house in the middle of the woods where they first met. John would eventually, settle on staying at the house since he was unable to walk without much pain. Vera tried everything to help ease his pain but it was clear that time was taken a toll.
Ferdinand and Cindy would regularly visit John along with there twin daughters. Charlotte and Katie loved to listen to there grandpa's stories of their travels and how they met grandmom Minivera. Coco Jr. loved having her granddaughters around and would wark wark whenever they were around. John enjoyed the last few years surrounded by his family. One day when John fell asleep, he wouldn't wake up. John looked peaceful and had a big smile on his face. Vera, John, Cindy, Katie, Cathy, and Coco Jr. held a small ceremony for John.
Vera decided that she needed sometime alone in order to deal with her grief. Ferdinand was older and had a family of his own and would be fine. One day Vera before she left informed Ferdinand and Cindy of her intentions. Vera told the young couple she intended to return to her realm for some time. Vera also informed Cindy and Ferdinand that the house was theirs to keep.
Vera also had one final gift to give her beloved son and daughter in law. Vera handed Ferdinand what looked like a beautiful golden ring, golden earrings, a necklace, and a pair of golden bangles. The jewelry was very nice and very pretty but Vera told Ferdinand they had another purpose. The jewelry was blessed by her and they contain a bit of her power. If whoever is wearing this is ever in any trouble the jewelry would activate in there time of need. Vera also informed Ferdinand and Cindy that only those who contain her blood could wield them. If anyone other then her descendants or her touch them. They would be struck by a strong blast of holy magic and would become paralyzed unable to move.
Vera with her affairs in order made her way to leave. Vera shared one last hug with her family before she vanished in a flash of light. Ferdinand then took the bangles and earrings he received from his mom and gave the Bangles to Charlotte and the Earnings to Katie. Charlotte and Katie loved their gifts and promised to take care of them. Ferdinand held on to the Necklace and Ring for safe keeping.

Meanwhile over the years Gabrielle was starting to become more worn out by the darkness inside of him. It took all of Gabrielle's will power to try and resist the growing darkness. Whenever Minivera came by for a visit Gabrielle felt uneasy around her. It was tough for him to see Vera with another especially since that other was a mortal. Gabrielle remained as dutiful as he could when Vera was around. Gabrielle would then lock himself in his room whenever she left.
Besides the growing darkness, his growing jealousy, another thought started to nag at Gabrielle. A voice would call out to him that it was the mortals fault that him and Minivera couldn't be together. The mortal John tricked Minivera into falling for him. The mortals are the one who denied him his love. Gabrielle was having a hard time dealing with everything.
One day despite his better judgement Gabrielle used the Joker card given to him by Julius. Gabrielle held the card aloft and was instantly teleported to where Julius was. Julius was on the road inside of a horse drawn wagon. When Gabrielle arrived, Julius has a grin on his face.
"Well now this is unexpected Mr. Angel,". "I thought for sure you forgot about me,". "So what brings you here this fine evening," Julius mused whimsically.
"I am going to regret this but you said your a granter of wishes?" Gabrielle asked Julius.
"Well in a sense I am a granter of wishes,". "The crowd wishes to smile and laugh,". "So I grant them the ability to laugh, smile, and have a great old time," Julius says in response.
"Just like I thought,". "Nothing but a simple clown,". "Whatever this was a waste of my time,". "I am leaving right now," Gabrielle says highly annoyed to Julius.
"Oh come now Mr. Angel I hardly know you,". "Wouldn't you just spend some time with me,". "It's not like it will hurt or anything,". "You can't just ask me to grant a wish that's not how it works,". "I no mere genie or dijin,". "My abilities take time," Julius says to Gabrielle.
Gabrielle became a little less annoyed towards Julius.
"Who are you?" Gabrielle asked Julius.
"Why I am just a charming entertainer,". "Just your common run of the mill jester who was granted a special ability by the goddess,". "Oh you might of heard of her,". "Minivera I think her name was,". "Yes as a dedicated follower and disciple of Minivera she granted me the power to grant trouble souls wishes," Julius says to Gabrielle.
Gabrielle was highly sceptical of what Julius claimed. Goddesses have been known to grant special individuals a portion of her power in return for there devotion. Yet, this Jesters claim seems too convenient. Almost like Juluis's claims were too good to be true.
"How come I never heard of you?". "Surely I would have heard of you before,". "Minivera would have mentioned you to me at least," Gabrielle says to Juluis.
"Does your precious goddess tell you everything?" Juluis asks Gabrielle.
"She doesn't have to,". "She trusts me with everything,". "I don't need Minivera to tell me everything,". Gabrielle replies.
"Oh that's good to know,". "You know your precious Minivera is married now,". "Has kids, grandkids, a Mortal husband," Juluis says to Gabrielle.
"How could you possibly know that?" Gabrielle demands from Juluis.
"Because as a traveler entertainer you meet lots of people,". "If I could sense your presence my dear friend,". "What makes you think I couldn't feel the presence of Minivera,". "As much as she tries to hid it,". "It's hard to completely hide the presence of a goddess," Juluis says to Gabrielle.
"Nonsense,". "You speak complete and utter nonsense,". "I shall slice your tounge out of your lieing mouth you fiend," Gabrielle says to Juluis.
"If what I say is false feel free to strike me down,". "Yet deep down you know what I say is true,". "When was the last time, she's been to her precious realm,". "When was the last time she spent any time with you or her other subjects,". "It's as you fear my poor poor friend,". "Minivera doesn't care about you, the others, or even returning to her realm,". "She's traded all of you in for her mortal family,". "I know your thinking the same thing,". "Unless I am mistaken," Juluis taunts Gabrielle.
Gabrielle reaches for his blade ready to strike Juluis down. Gabrielle holds the blade within inches of Juluis's heart. Gabrielle's hands begin to tremble and he is unable to follow through. Gabrielle drops his blade and slams his fists on the seat.
"I am sorry to wound you my dear friend,". "Yet the truth was never meant to be easy to hear,". "But I feel like I grown to know you my friend,". "So if their is anything I can do to help,". "A wish I can grant you,". "Then just say the words," Juluis tells Gabrielle.
Gabrielle is beginning to shake but he can feel his mouth begin to move on its own. "I wish you could take away this pain and darkness," Gabrielle asks Juluis.
"Of course all you have to do is take my hand and all your troubles will melt away like ice on a hot day," Juluis says extending his hand.
Gabrielle reaches for Juluis hands hesitantly at first. Juluis is trying his best to hide his excitement. Gabrielle finally reaches out and grabs Juluis's hand and shakes it.
"Heh,". "Heh Heh heh heh heh,". "Hahahahahahaha hahahahahahahaha haha," Juluis breaks out into laughter as Gabrielle shakes his hands.
A dark shadow extends from Juluis's hands and begins to wrap itself around Juluis's arm. The shadow is slowly engulfing his arm and slowly over taking Gabrielle. Gabrielle looks on in horror as the dark purple shadow slowly engulfs his right arm.
