Origin

Tye wanders about in Origin's main portion of the town, managing to harvest 14 Oranges. Nice!
In a bizarre act of charity, Tye donates all his Bells to Lloid. Lloid receives 6,676 Bells.
"Thank you, resident! We are very grateful to your patronage!"
While walking along the southwest cliff, Tye sees Richard near his house, talking to a pelican in a grey outfit. Richard appears to hand him something, then both of them wave goodbye as the pelican flies off. It seems like the pelican doesn't fly far before landing, though...

Tye heads down to Richard. It looks like Richard's started fishing in the sea in the time it took you to head around.
"Oh, hey Tye. What's up?"

"Oh, no problem."
Tye starts fishing with Richard now.
"Tye, who do you respect the most; the mayor, the mailclerk, the policeman, or the CEO?"

"You're either wise enough to smooth talk me, or you're speaking the truth from your heart... Hmm... I ask this strange question of you, but we're missing half of these people here..."
Richard ponders a bit, closing his eyes.
"Tye, I need you to do something for me. Take this."
Richard hands Tye something. It's a piece of stationary.
"I want you to write a letter to one of my friends. My friend's name is... Pelly. She's a mail clerk in the City now. I've been trying to convince her for quite some time now to come and live here, but she always insists on her duties. That's her nature, I guess, to help the mail needs of others. I need you to write Pelly a letter saying how much we need her here to run the Post Office. If I try, or the others try, she'll just tell us the same thing she always tells us. But if she hears it from someone new... Maybe that'll persuade her. If you really believe that all these jobs are important, then prove it to me and write this letter. Can you do it?"

"Alright, I'll do it. Maybe this can help."

Tye will finish up the fishing, catching whatever's on the line and head home to write the letter.

" I want to ask if you like jam."

" Just asking."
