You run to the boss's tent while training by dribbling your ball. Both you and Blade dive into the tent as lasers zoom past you. Slam comes flying in as well, seemingly tired from all the running. Strangely enough as you're in the tent, it feels like the Shadow Beasts are no longer giving chase. You look around the large tent, but the boss is nowhere to be found...just some papers with...blood on it. "I'll go keep watch for more monsters. It seems safe her for now."

Chill in the tent for now. Might as well read those papers while we're here, maybe pick up some game plans.

Symphony Summoning is dangerous. Conductors must never perform it. The last time it was performed, the world was nearly destroyed.
As you look up from the papers at Blade, you notice someone fall down from above him and hit him with an attack as Blade falls to the ground, dead. Is that...the boss!? Whoa, wait, his eyes are red.

Grab Slam and throw him at the tent to burn it down, then run through the flames!

You quickly burn down the tent as you run out of it, panicking as you run from the boss and his giant snake Note Beast that breaths fire. They give chase and both you and Slam are running through the base camp, dodging flames being blasted at you as the giant snake behind you smacks the Shadow Beasts out of the way to catch up with you!

You charge toward the Shadow Beasts, but all of your enemies suddenly freeze as a loud shaking sound is heard. They're all staring at something behind you. You slowly turn to find yourself facing a gigantic monster. It roars so loud, you think your head might explode before its two heads blast lasers nearby, blowing up two locations not far from here! The white blasts of energy devour everything they touch and it looks like you're next! The beast releases an attack on you as well. The whole base camp is enveloped in a bright light as you watch...

Chapter 2 - A Dark Warning
You wake up in your tent, or what's left of it. It seems both you and Slam burned it down in your sleep. That dream you had was really weird. Oh, right, today's the day you have your first mission. The boss will be giving everybody orders soon. You can hear other soldiers starting to wake up as well. Some of them are talking about a dream with shadow monsters in it.

"Get your ass to the meeting in the center of camp and I'll tell you." Frex walks past you and heads off to the center of the Base Camp. You follow after the boss to see what the game plan is. "Alright, today we head out to capture the small base of Guild Storm. We're getting paid big money for this by an anonymous employer. We know the guild is gone for the most part, but we can't be exactly sure how many stayed behind. Now then..." The boss pulls out a map. "We've got a big army, but we can't just go charging in or they'll send their strongest monsters our way. Instead, I'm sending teams in to sneak in there and steal their altar. Blade! Mage! You two are together for this. You will be heading in first to check the general area for enemies. Gyro! Storm! You're both in charge of getting inside of their main building to steal the altar. If anything goes wrong, I'll be there. The rest of you are to wait here in camp for further intruction. Got it? Good. We head out in half an hour."
