Joel goes outside. He sees Dodongo trying to escape a swarm of... RATATA? What is happening? There's supposed to be only one Ratata...
There's too much Ratata. They swarm Dodongo and kills him like it was nothing...

You step outside as some red-eyed Ratatas look at you
Ratatas: "OH LOOK! ANOTHER ONE TO EAT!!!"
Escape seems like an option... With how many they are, fighting seems like suicide. You just saw them eat Dodongo in seconds.
Yet there's still HMS and Snake somewhere...

This is the worst plan ever, but...  Duster always carries around some of his favorite cheese with him! Goodbye, cheese... Roll a large wheel of cheese at the Rattatas, then yell: "EVACUATE! GET OUT OF HERE, EVERYONE!" Then toss a smoke bomb at Duster's feet, and run away! |

"Panic mode activated!" Joel's lens turns red. With his arm laser in one hand, a chainsaw in the other and his head rapidly launching bombs everywhere, it's time to go crazy! Also, Joel activates the emergency self destruct system. That means he'll explode when he dies instead of normally dying.

Some Ratatas are trying to catch Duster, but their attention turns towards Joel, shooting bombs everywhere.
Duster successfully exit town...
Just to see that's there's even more Ratatas in the plains...

Joel shoots some bombs at the Ratata swarms.
Ratatas: "OH? YOU THINK YOU CAN STOP THIS? YOU THINK YOU CAN PREVENT ME FROM TAKING THIS TOWN? EVERYTHING IS MINE! MINE I SAY!!! AND THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO STOP IT!"
Ten swarms of Ratata are running towards Joel.
A cardboard box is slowly moving towards Joel.

Angela: "YOU'RE NOT GONNA TAKE ME YOU STUPID RATS!!!"
Angela stands up, pushing the Ratatas with the door. She runs upstairs and jumps trough the window.

"I am death." Joel willuse all his weapons at once on every Rattata he sees. Launching bombs around, cutting through them with his laser, tearing apart the ones that get too close with his chainsaw, and even self destructing in case he dies.
