Rachel continues on out of the desert and onward to what seems like plains with huge cliffs around. There are random areas with large crags in the ground. You can hear the sound of a waterfall nearby as well. These fields seem rather expansive. Both Rachel and Kolos set up camp for the night as Rachel rests. Kolos stands guard, watching for any wild monsters that may appear. It sure has been a long day...

With Kolos keeping watch all night, Rachel slept rather well. It's a nice change from when she had to always be on guard. The Cracked Plains look a little easier to navigate during the day and even the monsters seem to be less aggressive than at night. In fact, completely different ones are around. It's mostly some lizard-like creatures, but you can spot the occasional bear monster. At least they look like bears. Those claws are a bit too large for that. Oh, and there's loud stomping off in the distance along with birds circling around in the sky. You might want to move through this area quickly to avoid whatever may be making that loud sound.

Rachel will try to avoid the bears if possible. If the giant monster is the path to the base, she'll just take a detour.
"Do we even know if we're close?"
Kolos looks at Rachel, without any expression in it's face.
"That's what I thought..."

Rachel darts from one boulder to the next, hiding behind it as she avoids the bears and lizards. It's difficult, but she is making progress. As she moves along, suddenly, one of the boulders starts to move! It lets out a grunting noise and stands up on four legs! This isn't a boulder, it's a monster!

Checking for any rhino, meat, you sadly don't find any. On the bright side, the battle experience, has granted you new skills. It seems that rhino was all rock. There are some strangely unusual creatures around in this time. In the future, they were all extinct, so Rock Rhinos were fairly rare to say the least. You must continue onward, to change the course of time. Rachel and Kolos continue onward, more easily navigating the plains sneakily by avoiding the fake rocks and sticking to the real ones. For future reference when returning back, it may be best to note the Rock Rhinos down so this doesn't happen again. As the two continue across the plains, they eventually reach an area where a volcano can be seen off in the distance with a dark castle nearby it. That is Hell Castle. That is the location they have been looking for. It fits the descriptions Rachel had heard from her friend in the future. Now she can finally see him again...
