can you guess what the 'V' stands for? Welcome to Monster hunter V. Here you can Hunt monsters for whatever reason here is da rules - Respect the Decisions of the ones who are in charge of this game
- No god modding
- Dont be an ass (self explanatory)
List of weapons - Great swords are Big and slow. but they do alot of damage and have high DPS(damage per second) but it is so slow it is hard to hit with it
- Long swords do more damage the more they hit and once damage is maxed out you can do a super swing
- Sword and shield users can use items while the weapon is out
- Dual blades are fast and has something called "Demon mode" where they get more combos and damage but it wears off over time
- Hammer does both cutting and impact damage. but it does less then a great sword.
- Hunting horn can give buffs to you and your party members from playing music
- Lances have long range but they dont do much up close
- Gunlance is shorter and do less damage then a lance but it can fire short ranged shells to Damage monsters
- Switch Axe can switch into a sword that does more combos and Axe to do more damage. it charges power in Axe mode to use sword mode
- Insect Glaive uses a pet insect to collect Orbs off of monsters to buff yourself
- Charge Blade much like the switch axe has a sword mode and an Axe mode. however the charge blade is much faster then the switch axe and it charges power to use Axe mode. the shield in Sword mode can also be charged depending on the Type of Charge blade.
- Light Bowgun basically its a small gun. its shots do less Damage and they have less travel distance then the heavy counterpart but it is much faster with reloading and shooting and it cannot use much of the bullet types that its heavy counterpart can.
- Heavy Bowgun a heavy gun like a sniper rifle. it does more damage and it travels farther then its light counterpart. but it is slower with shooting and reloading it can also use every type of bullet.
- Bow is one of the most tactical weapons in the Monster Hunter series. it is very fast and Versatile. using this requires Knowledge of a monsters Weak points and elemental weaknesses.

I've never played a Monster Hunter game, but I might sign up anyways . I'm trying to think of a character, but most of the ideas I've had so far wouldn't necessarily be the best characters...

You know what, I'll do it. That being said, I'll also provide a brief overview of abilities (I assume we can use abilities that belong to our characters) Name: Edward "Edge" Geraldine Appearance: images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130904101158/dissidiadreamcharacters/images/f/f9/Edge.pngAbilities: Dual wields katanas, has various ninjutsu abilities which can be made even stronger by anger (not a gameplay mechanic, but he unlocks more ninjutsu abilities at one point with the game stating that his rage has unlocked his latent abilities), high speed, skilled at throwing pretty much any weapon, can steal from enemies (perhaps could translate to grabbing certain materials like feathers off of still living monsters). Equipment limitations: no heavy armor or two handed weapons (although oddly enough he can throw them), will mainly stick to making various katanas. Starts with 2 Kunai. |

Actually, he doesn't even use shields. Edge is less focused on tanking hits and more focused on being evasive enough to make hitting him very difficult. Dual Blades will likely be what I mainly stick to, especially if we're able to make our own custom weapons. That being said, I might also make some easy to mass produce throwable objects.

That being said, I might also make some easy to mass produce throwable objects. with the custom weapons thing. you kinda can but it is limited to the 14 weapon types you can make throw-able items such as flash bombs, throwing knifes, and Tranquilizer bombs |
