Popple tries to get out of the sand, but he suddenly has more difficulty.
Papyrus traps him in a box of bones, before throwing a gigantic bone to crush Popple.

(OOC notes: I'm definitely seconding the idea to nerf Joel. Huge strength like the Eidolons OR great versatility like Kitty is fine, but he seems to have a bit too much of both if he wiped out two powerful characters in two turns and has as many options as he does. Also, Just vs Ultra sounds like it would be interesting.)

Also, Just vs Ultra sounds like it would be interesting.) (The problem is that I have a lot of factor to take in: 1.Joel is powerful because Kitty makes it so she can control the projectile, making them unvavoidable. If Joel is alone, his absorb --> reflect with 4X damage laser is easily avoidable since it's shot in a straight line. Therefore, is Joel really broken in 1V1? 2.The current nerfing plan is that Joel will have a chance to explode when absorbing an enemy attack. 3.Is the team really that OP or was it a bad matchup? All in all, if Just battles an NPC, Joel is getting nerfed. Unfortunately for Ultra though, if Just picks him for the final, Joel won't be nerfed and it will be the battle to confirm if Joel is broken or if Kitty and Joel VS Shiva and Ifrit is a bad matchup. Basically, I'm currently asking myself various questions to decide if I nerf him or not. After all, Shiva defeated Kitty in 1V1.) |

(Well, this is the battle that decide if Joel gets nerfed or not!)
Kitty and Joel appear at the oasis again. Seems this is where the final will happen!
As they get excited, Shulk and Papyrus appear on the other side of the oasis.
THE MASTER: "THIS IS AN IMPORTANT BATTLE TODAY!
LET'S NOT WASTE MORE TIME!"
Everyone receives their equipment and the battle can start!
(Please permanently use your already existing PMs for every PVP battles.)

Kitty freezes the oasis as Papyrus uses the mud barricade generator to create cover. Both Kitty and Joel go on the lake.
Papyrus throws bones at Kitty, but she throws bone-shaped ice blocks to cancel them out. It seems to work out at first, but some orange bones go through and hit Kitty.
Joel creates an ice shield in anticipation from an attack from Shulk and he guessed right! Shulk uses Stream Edge, breaking the Ice Shield. Joel avoided damage, but he's distabilised... as well as Shulk slipping on the ice.

Kitty tries to freeze Shulk's hands to control him, but the Monado Boy looks at Joel in fear and activates Monado shield, which prevents Kitty's move.
Joel then creates some bombs to destroy any bones shot at him, but Papyrus surprises him by using the Gaster Blaster. Going through everything and bypassing invinciblity frames, Joel is eliminated...
But Joel has a fail-safe! He self-destructs when he dies, eliminating Shulk in the process. Seems like that's what Shulk wanted to block.
THE MASTER: "PAPYRUS KO'D SHULK BY PUTTING JOEL KO!
IT'S NOW KITTY VS PAPYRUS!"

Papyrus turns turns Kitty's soul blue to affect her jumping skill, then prepares to sidestep any attack but...
Wait... Where is Kitty? Papyrus is getting hit from everywhere, but he can't see her! She's too fast!
He's hit by huge combos twice, before the whole oasis rises and falls on him like an ice meteor.
THE MASTER: "KITTY'S GOD SPEED ENDED THE BATTLE!
JUST14 IS THE WINNER!!!"
(Deciding factor: Kitty was using God Speed to avoid any attack and Papyrus didn't attack so he could dodge. Because of that I assumed Kitty attacked instead of dodging inexistant attacks.
If Papyrus attacked too, Kitty would have dodged and THEN Papyrus could have avoided the meteor since he wasn't staggered!
I think this battle was fair. Joel and Kitty VS Ifrit and Shiva must be a bad matchup because of Kitty's ice control!)
