Bane finds that there are some people that don't particularly like it, but nobody seems to hate it and oppose it enough to do something drastic. At least nobody Bane can find.
"Yeah! Actually, we could make some more delicious cash by selling our own knowledge! The people here are crazy about learning! They'll pay to learn anything! Trust me."

"Could it have been those two with him? His parents said that they were quite close."
Bane will ask the arcsage and his wife about Rafon and his partner.

"Oh, they were such good people. But they were extremely loyal to Lancet. That's why we hired them. Lancet was like a child to them. Of course, they do have real children too. They're off at a school, studying abroad though. They write every day though. Such good people. I don't know how this could happen."

"Well...sadly, yes...I was always busy hunting down a group of bandits that were badly terrorizing our lands. They were very powerful, but once their leader left and I caught their second in command, they disbanded. Lightwin was always busy teaching Sylvia and Lancet their studies though. But I do remember Sylvia excelled much better at being a Mage. He might have been a little jealous, but I don't know of them acting on it. Maybe you should ask Sylvia if something happened between them."

Bane flinches slightly at the mention of the bandits, but quickly returns himself to his original demeanor.
"I reckon that's part of the problem he may have felt like those two were his parents more than the you too, not to be unkind, I believed ya'll were fine parents, but lancet might not have. Rafon and his partner could have convinced your son to join them."
"Also, I'll ask Sylvia, that should help quite a bit."
Find Sylvia and ask her what she knew about Lancet. Ask her if he aid any troubles, if she noticed any thing strange about him, and if anything conflicts happened between the two."

"I'm sure they don't know anything about the recent destruction of Terran. We can totally market that!"

"YES! Information about the Dark Lords!
Wait... This makes me think... I need information on something myself...
You know how one of them was undead? Did a necromancer do that or are Dark Lords invincible?"

"I don't think they're invincible. But I don't know how it happened either. Let's ask someone that was there!"

Sylvia suddenly looks up from the book, startled by having multiple people ask her questions at once. "I'm not sure how that one Dark Lord was undead. Maybe the Engineer built something to revive him. As for Lancet, he was always pretty steadfast in his beliefs of what is right or wrong, but never this extreme, and I'd never heard him talking about killing the Guardians until that recent fight. I wouldn't say there was any real animosity towards me either, in fact we were actually pretty good friends. On another note Balynka, don't even think about trying one of your get rich quick schemes at the expense of the townspeople here. I've heard you and Ana scheming, and I'll be watching you two." Sylvia stands up to casually dodge Joey's tackle, then sits back down and continues searching for info on the two subjects.
