I'm pretty sure Malik showed up after the town was destroyed and rebuilt.

Updated the Monster Farm. Now you can see all the monsters and who trains which ones. There's also a Slime there without an owner...

My goal for Mike is for him to just be Mike

What exactly IS a Mike...?
Anyway, I got the shops in towns other than Terran all set up. You can go check those out when you visit those towns. There may be a few items that are worth traveling there to get...

So I have an important question. I want to include some way to form backstories and allow you all to explore them. I wanted to ask what you wanted to get these from. There's option number one which are heart events from filling the heart gauge and learning more about the person you raise it with. This will usually make it so you either activate an event with them in town or start an entire side quest for special items and equipment. The second option I though of was an optional way of looking into other characters' daily lives a little with a sort of in character discussion for The Tavern where characters would pretty much just sit around and talk about their adventures. The third option would just be some sort of boring and simple written out description of everyones' stories.
I also had some more story development planned for when the group reaches Magis with a library containing information on various historical subjects. It would essentially add a Q and A to story in the game.
I don't really know. What do you guys think? Do you want to see more in depth story for the characters? Do you just want me to focus entirely on the main story plot? Just give me some of your thoughts whenever.

Concerning Malik: As I said when signing up, Malik is a character I use for live-action roleplay. I'd prefer not to explore his backstory, because it involves characters I didn't create myself. I don't mind making him talk about it like he did with Keth though.
Concerning Yzza: I would rather keep it secret to at least the players, but if as the Game Master you need to know it, I'm just one PM away.

I feel like the second idea for backstories is the best since it's less restrictive than the first option while not being boring like the third. As for Magis, I'm up for that.

1. Mike is Mike. nuff said
2. Mike's backstory is really dumb and i think it should be explored

Well...it seems we've got quite the mixed feedback. One says no exploration of backstories, one says moderate exploration of backstories, and the other says full exploration of backstories.
Oh and you know when I was talking about backstories I meant NPCs, right? Players don't have heart gauges and I figured you can reveal your stories when ready. Plus I like the challenge of trying to get the stories out of you with my characters.

COncerning my characters: With what I did with Malik, I can't have him revisit his backstory, but when Yzza's comes out, you can definitely use her backstory to do something if you want to.
Concerning NPCS: It's definitely interesting to get some backstory... As for how we get it, it should be in-game too, different for each character.
For example if character X's backstory is that he became an adventurer only because he wanted to live in Terran, it shouldn't be too hard to get him to talk.
If character Y's backstory is that he's an Alchemist and accidently killed his whole family by failing an experiment, THEN a full heart gauge should be required.

Alright. Makes enough sense. I'll probably do these backstories in certain points of the heart gauge depending on how deep the story goes. So likely there will be an event around 2-3 if a character has a simple backstory, but if it's more complex they will probably have their first event a little later around 3-5. There also may be multiple events just as it goes along, but not all of them will be sidequests as much as something similar to cutscenes or support conversations. Usually there will be a sidequest event around 6 or 7. This will usually reveal a large chunk of the backstory. Then around 8-10 there will be a final sidequest that wraps the whole story up and leaves the player accepting the sidequest with a special item/skill. Also, at 9 you get the chance to date someone and at 10 you can ask them to marry you. The special thing about these sidequests is only you and the character the sidequest is for can go on these sidequests. They'll be hard, but very rewarding. So does that sound alright to everyone regarding NPC characters?
For player characters, I'll let you reveal your backstory to whoever whenever. It's completely your choice. You don't even have to share your backstory with your spouse when you reach level 10 if you don't want to. Completely up to you.

You can have random in character conversations at Cardinal's Cafe. Basically, you can converse with any NPC or player just randomly, saying whatever you want to see what the response might be. I dunno, it sounded interesting I guess.
