"Monsters... They don't exist"
That's what everyone thought at least... After all, there was no sign of them back then. Only legends.
From Basilisks to Krakens, passing by the Chimera, every last monster that is now part of our world had his own legend...
But now those legends don't make any sense... Nothing told in these legends comes close to the truth. Nothing could have prepared us to face those monstrosities.
It all started with crystals falling down from the sky. Those crystals were everywhere. At first, people went crazy and collected them, certain their value would be immense... How wrong they were...
Monsters started to appear out of nowhere around the crystals and killing everyone. With creatures we thought didn't even exist invading our towns, we didn't stand a chance. Quickly, people were running and hiding, trying to survive. As soon as you showed your face, you were dead...
Until one day they all disappeared... A single hero named Molbor destroyed all the crystals and freed the world from monsters. There was peace for some time.
Then they came back... This time we fought. We knew what would show up. Until 12 giant crystals showed up, releasing 12 extremely powerful monsters on the world.
When everything looked bleak, Molbor went on a quest to defeat the 12 monsters and saved us all again.
This time, we weren't at peace. We prepared for the next wave... We knew they would return.
And we were surprised once again. A race of humanoids with blue skin called the Maktous appeared everywhere from portals. They were friendly and explained to us that the monsters were actually here long ago, before us humans. They lived in the Maktous' world for centuries before deciding to retake their world. And for them, that would mean our extinction.
And then the monsters appeared again... Without us even knowing it. They only appeared in the Dark Land instead of the entire world. We have no idea how it happened, but the army of Hybrids came to be. Half human, half momster. Their leader named Krax started attacking cities one by one, winning every battles.
Molbor never appeared. Instead, Mox and his band of bandits found something. Some people can absorb crystals and summon monsters to fight for them. Mox and his gang was fighting Krax's army successfully and pushed them back to the Dark Land.
Things didn't really get better though... The bandits started to use their findings to pillage villages and the monsters started appearing everywhere again, while Molbor is nowhere to be found.
And to end it all, a giant shadow started appearing at sea. We don't know what is, but it's growing every day.
Which brings us to the present: there's monsters everywhere, bandits are doing whatever they want, Krax's troops are obviously regrouping and planning a new attack and for some reason, the King doesn't want to do anything about it.
I am Tutankapuchon the great sage using my magic to communicate with everyone from around the world. We need your help. I know that's a lot to take in, but if anyone wants to prevent total chaos, I am waiting in the camp of the Wind Land.

Dropped the backstory to see if you guys are interested. With Just's permission, the combat will be similar to Song Summoner. The game itself is my own thing though.
