Crystalis and Maya move towards the Hellhound odot.
They end up in high grass. There's many groups of 3 different-colored Hellhounds around here, seemingly eating animals.
There's also some Cockatrice walking around.
Maya: "(They all seem occupied... Should we continue or fight some of them?)"

(Maybe we should try to lure out one group at a time. We could also ask the Cockatrice for help. It seems like they actually can talk to me unlike the Hellhounds. Maybe they're smarter or something.)
Crystalis tries to speak with the Cockatrice. (Excuse me, could I ask for a little help with something?)

A group of 4 Cockatrice look at Crystalis. They bounce around clumsily, sometimes falling on their face.
Cockatrice: "(Gibberish. Crystalis understands the word "wolf" though.)"

Crystalis leaves the Cockatrice and climbs up into a tree to get a closer look at the Hellhounds before he engages anything.

Crystalis climbs a tree.
There's 10 groups of 3 Hellhounds of various colors. They are eating rabbits, chickens and rams. There's an eleventh group farther, clearly guarding the crystal. It seems constituated of 3 Alpha.

There's no way we can fight that many hounds. We'll have to find a way to attack the crystal without being seen. Crstalis and Maya stay hidden and Crystalis shoots a Crystal Beam at the Hound Crystal before jumping into a different tree.

It's like any other laser and it hit a tornado without us having to be close enough to be sucked into it, so I'd say it's got some nice range.

(Just realise how broken Crystalis is against crystals...)
Crystalis climbs a tree, Maya doesn't seem to be able to though. Crystalis uses Crystal Beam, eating the crystal from afar. The wolf feels some king of glands form in his mouth.
The crystal suddenly teleports in his face.
Maya eats some grass.

Crystalis starts by breathing fire, then a blast of wind and finally a poisonous cloud. It hits the crystal.
The crystal flashes, as the whole earth starts to shake. The tree falls down and both Maya and Crystalis are hurt.
The Alpha Hellhound is teleported into the battle.
Maya: "(This doesn't look good... Not at all...)"

(Don't worry, we can do this. Keep the Alpha busy so that it can't boost our enemy's stats.)
Crystalis Bites the crystal and spits out crystal shards it bits out of it at the Alpha Hound's mouth in an attempt to interrupt any howling abilities.

Maya immediately rams into the Alpha Hellhound, as Crystalis bites the crystal, then spits the shards he breaks into the monster. The crystal flashed, as a light aura appears around the Alpha Hellhound.
The Alpha Aquahound is teleported into the battle.
Crystalis doesn't gain any ability.
