Didn't know where to create this topic, so I made it here.
I don't know if there will ever be more arena fights since no one seems to want to mod them anymore (altough for me it wouldn't be much different than The Master I guess), but I thought this discussion could be cool.
Which matchups of Vitcon characters do you think would make for an awesome battle? Do you have an idea of the result in your head?
The matchup coming to mind right now is Jonathan VS SS Malefio, although they are currently partners in the game.
One is a fighter, the other is a mage, but they both have an Ice Note Beast.
No idea who would win, but I think it would be interesting.

I think it would be cool if we took the battles between the Vitcon characters and just made a battle based on analysis of the characters themselves instead of having battles. Kind of like the old arena.

Could be an option.
Would be even more interesting if we alternate between the two following nomination methods between every match:
Match 1: Nominate one of your character
Match 2: Nominate someone else's character
Match 3: Nominate one of your character
Match 4: Nominate someone else's character
Later, rinse, repeat

Kind of like the old arena. Possibly, although if there's a bet involved (and especially if others can nominate your characters) it would generally be better to have control. Perhaps the modern style of the arena could stay with the betting system while a new "Classic Arena" would use this concept and just provide arena coins to the winner without taking them from the loser? |

We should always try to have matchups we think are evenly matched though.
Sometimes, a fighter is clearly superior to the other and I think it's as much trouble for the mod AND the loser to deal with.

Well...It seems to me that Crystalis would win for this reason in particular. He can attack without the need to copy, but Mirror Mage requires a target to copy. Without allies, he'd have to copy Crystalis which is only possible after he attacks first. It would become a very close fight, but with Crystalis' better speed he'd win. Mirror Mage is pretty dependant on allies. It would be like a Pokemon battle without the trainer. Strong, but not as effective.

These could get pretty fun if we try to make them close call battles. If you guys give me some lists of battles like these, I wouldn't ind writing them out for fun with some bets involved.

I don't know, I don't think any of you have seen just how OP Young Xehanort can really be. For those of you from Gates, I was holding back the whole game as well as every arena battle I've had him in so far.

It's actually Kingdom Hearts I was referring to on terms of how powerful he really is, specifically Birth By Sleep. I've never gone full Mysterious Figure with him, but one of these days I really want to. |

I might have a few characters who could beat YX, but they are not legit (For example THE MASTER can will someone to death and that's it).
Pikmin Wars/True Malefio (which is my OC) could probably make a good fight, but there would be no proof I don't just come up with new abilities for him, so it wouldn't be legit either.
Maybe one of the UltimateX could be a cool match, but they didn't appear yet. (You'll know what I'm talking about when they show up in The Master)
