“Inferior beings. Defunct products. Animals and robots are not supposed to mix.” Mike Canter said, while delivering the final lines of his inspirational speech. His army of 250 Mobster bots, 100 disgruntled worker bots, and 20 Boss Bots take their designated starting positions. A group of 100 Mobster Bots takes up positions around the Phoenix Fire Tank, with 20 on each side, 15 additional soldiers at the front and 5 situated on the hood of the tank. They begin their advance on the northern wall.
Meanwhile, Animech was readying for an attack that one of the snake scouts had spotted coming. The numbers weren’t quite known, but they knew it was a sizable force. The Defenses had been placed, with snakes around the perimeter, and bears and cheetahs hiding out along caves that surrounded the base. There were also 120 cats on lookout duty with 200 monkeys readying their shield lances for a counter push. There was also an undisclosed amount of troops guarding the resource room.
The monkeys see the oncoming force of 100 Mobster bots, and 100 monkeys, backed by 60 cats, begin a slow march to meet the enemies. They raise their shields to meet their foes. The Mobster bots begin firing their tommy guns at the enemy, while the tank unloads a shell into the wake of the enemies. 5 of the monkeys are vaporized, but the remaining 95 keep pressing forward. The tommy guns are able to hit 5 monkeys and 5 cats that were being protected behind the shield. Another shell explodes, dealing even more damage to the almost exposed line, causing 10 monkeys to be set ablaze. Finally the remaining 80 monkeys make it to the front line and use their shields to impale 20 of the bots that are in front of their path. That is when the ambush is set off, as snakes come from out of the ground and latch on to bots above them and drag them below, and the bears and cheetahs who were in the northern caves come rushing out to fight the enemy. in only a few seconds, the animals, armed with their zap claws, are able to repel the northern attack, destroying 50 more bots as they attempt to flee, and dealing 4 days worth of damage to the tank. The tank desperately fires off one last shot to create a firewall by igniting the fallen robot’s corpses. This kills 10 of the pursuing cats, and the others halt their pursuit.
Meanwhile on the southern side of the complex, a larger army of 150 mobsters, 100 disgruntled workers, and 20 bosses have already launched their attack. The remaining 100 monkeys and 60 cats walk out to meet this force, hoping to share the same success as the other side had had. As the animechs advanced, the Mobster Bots began to open fire. The tommy guns were able to take out 15 monkeys and 10 cats before the marching force reached the army. The monkeys who arrived at the destination speared 20 bots, but were unlucky to find the 20 bosses descending on them as the spears began to retract. 50 snakes popped out of the earth, and began to drag 20 disgruntled worker bots to their demise. The Bears and Cheetahs on the south side began to run out to the aid of their companions, but the boss bots had already begun tearing apart the remaining monkeys behind their shield wall. 45 monkeys fell along with 20 cats that came to their aid, with only 5 of the bosses getting destroyed by the cats and their zap claws. Finally the 10 heavily armored bears break through to the fight and begin getting to work on the remaining mobster bots and boss bots. The then bears, along with the 10 Cheetahs that had escorted them, tear apart 20 mobster bots and 10 disgruntled worker bots before the Progressive Solutions army sounds it’s retreat. The remaining 15 Boss bots are trapped behind the monkey shield wall. They struggle, taking out an additional 10 monkeys and 15 cats, before they are brought down to a surrender with the zap claws. (they aren’t destroyed, they just were captured.) 10 Cheetahs and 20 Cats take off after the retreating robots. They are able to take out 10 more Mobster Bots, but then something strange happens, and the robots turn around and encircle the cats and Cheetahs. 5 of the Cheetahs and 10 of the Cats were fast enough to get out of the trap, but the remaining troops were captured by the Mobster Bots. They then make a hasty retreat.
Zagren walks out of the resource room where he was preparing to encounter. “Oh well… I was really looking forward to using my gear to take out these robots. Alright, gather what you can and let’s see the results.”
Mike Canter stands at the edge of a hill, overlooking the battlefield. “Were we successful?”
One of the Mobster bots approaches him. “No sir, we were cut off before we could enter the resource room. They had way more troops, and they had these claws that disabled our troops! But we do have good news, we have captured some of these strange creatures… I don’t know what you wish for us to do with them, but you should also be aware that they captured 15 of our boss bots.”
Mike Canter grins with some sort of thought forming in his mind. “So… It’s not all bad news. Bring the inferior creatures to me.”
Losses
(All weapons were recovered by their respective owners. The disgruntled worker bots picked up the dead soldiers weapons, and the snakes came out and grabbed the equipment of the fallen animechs.)
